There was a clattering of objects from inside along with various rustling noises before Enlil came to answer the door. He eyed Rastian with a grimace on his face. He wasn't as easy as Vescillea to have given the boy another chance. But Vescillea did need those feathers and he supposed there would be a reasoning behind Vescillea sending him again rather than just coming herself and getting the job done right this time.

From Enlil's view Rastian looked like, for lack of better words, a hot mess. He was shifty, twitchy, and his eyes seemed to be darting around to various places and people. He couldn't help but think that perhaps he was just embarrassed at having to come back after the commotion he had caused earlier in the week.

Enlil crossed his arms and stepped to the side of the door. "Alright. Come in then." His face was stern still as he ushered Rastian into the hut. A duty had to be done, but he had hoped for a fresh face this time; not a pompous kid who was scolded into apologizing.

Once they were both inside the hut Enlil had made a temporary residence in, he turned to Rastian and offered him a seat. He took the seat across from him and waited silently for Rastian to offer up his end and preferably more apologies.

A wave of relief washed over Rastian's features, even if it was only for a split second or so. He offered Enlil a weak smile as he wandered into the hut and sat down, only to cringe slightly as his wounded arm began to sting. Admittedly, he wanted to ask for help, but he didn't want to cause Enlil any more trouble. Give him the feathers, get the bow, give it back to Vescillea, go home to rest. That's all he wanted to do at this point, get out of this guy's hair and back home to bed.

"Here are the feathers, sir." He said, offering the other man the satchel. "I hope that they're still in a usable condition. I also apologize, again, for my actions. I have been acting strangely this week, which I've only just now become aware of, and I'm keeping close track on the occurrences. I promise you that I will never treat you with disrespect again, please, forgive me."

His words seemed strained, but not forced. He was being sincere, although pained. After he finished speaking, he grabbed his water skin and took a quick drink, before clearing his throat.

"Now, could you explain to me how a feather can strengthen a bow?" He asked. "I'm not quite sure how something so weightless can help..."

Enlil raised an eyebrow at Rastian's apology, but kept silent. Enlil knew that speaking while still angry could lead to bitter words, and Enlil had plenty to spare. He reached for the satchel and pulled on the strings to look inside. He pulled out a bent and broken feather and sighed. "Hopefully there is still some that are usable." he muttered to himself.

He rose from his seat and brought Vescillea's bow to the table, then began to dump the remainder of the feathers onto the table to sort through the ruined and broken feathers. He plucked up one, then another, and finally a third that were whole and looked between the three. They were of a decent size, well at least two of them were. He supposed they would do.

He turned to Rastian as if he were finally ready to acknowledge his question. "Weight has nothing to do with it." He said it bluntly and without any sense of cheer in his voice. Well, at least the boy was curious, that was some sort of indicator that he wasn't completely hopeless; or at least Enlil hoped that was what he could assume from this. "It'll be infused with the bow's wood and strengthen it through a charm of sorts. But it takes time. I'll have the bow here for a few days yet." He looked to Rastian as if it were a sort of dismissal.

"By that time Vescillea will be able to come and retrieve it herself. Her note came in about a half-day ago." He moved the usable feathers from their place on the table to a bowl nearby, as well as the bow, before putting the broken feathers back into the satchel and pocketing them. "These broken feathers may have some use yet. But your part in this is completed."

He somewhat reluctantly put a hand on Rastian's shoulder, luckily for him grabbing a hold of his good shoulder and avoiding any trace of the illness Rastian had contracted. "Vescillea's message also noted that despite my personal feelings, you might be able to continue your training..." He sighed lightly. "One of your only redeeming traits right now is that you have sense enough to be curious, and that you were able to apologize. For that, I guess I can comply with her wishes and let you know that she's recommended for you to study as a healer."

Enlil removed his hand from Rastian's shoulder and offered a small smile at what should be a happy moment for almost anyone wanting to pursue their path in life. "Congratulations."
