"I don't know why you think I am." Stormy rolled over as well to face her with a slight frown. "I follow orders; that doesn't make me brave or strong," she added, poking Nevada back gently. "One time it pretty much made me a coward...I'm only confident if the people around me are, you know. Moon reflecting the sun's light and all that." Something was stirring in the back of her head...it was fuzzy and unfocused, though. Was it a lost memory maybe...? "And if I was really strong and stuff, I wouldn't keep finding ways to get myself in trouble on missions." There, totally undeniable proof. Totally.

"Because I live with you and I've seen and heard some of the things you go through. The fact that you aren't dead or planning to kill yourself makes you brave Stormy." She giggled a little, "Following orders, no you have to be brave, because sometimes orders....are very scary."
She rolled her eyes, "I'm only brave when I have you there you know. Otherwise its all fake. I'm terrified because....I think I am going to fail." She hesitated, "I don't Stormy, I think you are one of the bravest people. Maybe I am bias."
She snorted.
"Singing to the choir here." She pointed to her eye, "I think you are just very unlucky on missions. A LOT OF PEOPLE ARE UNLUCKY." She shook her head.

The fact that you aren't dead or planning to kill yourself makes you brave.
A soft, strangled sound that was almost a laugh left her. Stormy cleared her throat quickly, forcing herself to sit up and cross her legs.
"If we're only brave with someone else around, let's just promise not to leave each other's sides, then. Simple as that!" she chirped. "You're totally, absolutely biased, but it's nice to hear anyway~ Maybe one day I'll live up to your expectations."
It was odd to think Nevada was ever afraid of things, really. She wore her lazy smile and prowled like a cat, and cats were the epitome of being in control and confident. Then again, Stormy had found it hard to reconcile Candace as a human being with flaws of her own . . .
She huffed a sigh that lifted her bangs somewhat. "I think I need to make, like . . . a lucky charm bracelet. Or a belt thing. Something to ward off all the bad juju. Oh!" Her eyes lit up as she whispered excitedly, "Friendship bracelet."

"Mission wise, I'll do my best." If she had heard the way Stormy described her, she would be flattered. She liked to think of herself as a cat....but every cat can be scared, if you do it right. Missions were a way to scare her.
"I don't know why you say that, Of course I am bias, you're my favorite." It scared her sometimes that Stormy was even more important then Alaska, what would she do with out the other mist girl? She loved her sister, but her sister was much different now.
"A lucky charm." She blinked, "Oh gosh. Can you teach me to do that?" She brightened up. "I'll make one for you and Sherry. Because Sherry has been going through so much now." She shook her head. "When we get portals up, really need a girls day with her and you."

If Stormy knew she was considered more important than her own twin sister, there would have been heartfelt music and tears spontaneously happening, power outage or not.
"Sure, I'll teach you! I'll make one for the girls, and then one for the guys probably--"
She stopped short, blinking when she registered what Nevada had said. Stormy tilted her head with some confusion. "Something up with Sherry?" she asked. Then her brows knitted as a thought crossed her mind. "Please don't tell me she has memory problems too . . . Wait, what about Jake? Have you heard from him?"
Don't tell her the ship she helped sail was hitting choppy water.

"Oh the guys!" Nevada thought of Otto and Tuck and maybe even Ian would like one. Part of her wanted to give one to Taym just to mess with the more mature hunter.
"That would be nice, Me and Alaska preferred sports over arts and crafts." She hesitated.
"I haven't heard from Jake. But sherry came over and we had a little girl talk...It seems..." Nevada hesitated before closing her eye, "It seems that Jake has completely forgotten Sherry. Like I have with Roland." She shook her head, "I don't even know Roland's face, and Sherry said that Jake didn't know her at all. That he didn't....even remember anything they had gone through."
Her voice heated a little, "The selfish little brat." But it was hypocritical and she felt ashamed she said it. It just made her so mad.

"I sucked at sports!" Stormy tittered happily, unashamed. "Not because I couldn't get into them or anything, but I'd keep daydreaming in the middle of games . . ." Terribly hard to believe, huh?
Her face fell at the news, hands clasping one another in her lap. "Oh . . ." No, not her ship. Why cruel world WHY. "I don't understand . . . How could you guys lose your memories like that?" she couldn't help but murmur, growing more and more concerned about this little epidemic. Had it really been a choice all along? When she thought back to what happened, she remembered at one point there had been a great pain upon her, but . . . Agh.
"Clearly we have only one solution: we have to help repair the ship." There was a determined look on Stormy's face. She had let Roland and Nevada come apart because her bestie had wished it, but if either Sherry or Jake still had feelings, she had to make it right.

"Wow you? Daydreaming? No wai~" Nevada joked, teasing her friend. "It's not all its cracked up to be. I dropped basketball for Ballet and dancing. I am quite the ah...performer." She grinned.
She stiffened at the mention of her memories loss. As if she had a choice. If she did, it's not like she remembered, and to be honest, for some reason she felt much better not to have them. If she was so happy now, she wondered why she would even think of getting them back?
"Clearly the real option is to beat the memories back into Jake." She said instead, "But when I talked to Sherry it seemed that she wasn't going to give up so easily. Let's see how things go and then check in a couple of days."
She turned back to Stormy, "Until then..." She reached for the dvd player, "I got us a new DVD with my immense amount of funds." She slid away, "Was going to wait to show you but..." She held up the new movie, a familiar princess beauty and her handsome beast covering the front. "How do you feel about the movie you base Jake and Sherry on Stormy?"

Best bestie is best.
"No violence, you." Stormy wagged a finger at her. "Fine, we'll wait a few days, but then I'm totally checking in with Sherry. For right now..."
She crawled on over, dragging a pillow with her to hold as excitement lit her face up.
"Let's do this," she whispered excitedly. "And then afterwards you'll teach me how to dance. Yes. Good. Yay~"

"I only feel violent when dealing with Jake, like maybe beating sense into him would actually work." Put the DVD in, bringing the screen between them out and made herself comfortable with pillows for her chin to rest on.
"Okay, I'll leave it to your amazing shipping powers to subdue the beast to fall for the beauty." She chuckled, then looked over at Stormy.
"If you want to learn to dance, I can teach you." She smiled fondly, "I'll teach you the dance of your people. The salsa." She winked as she pressed play.
She was happy, yes. Happier than she was most days as she sat with Stormy and sang with off key voice to the songs.
It didn't even matter, because even in the hot room, there was nothing more she wished than it to stay like this.
