Meph floated up to the Charizard and gave him a firm smack, meaning he was serious before shooing him away.
"Maybe he'll get the point this time?"

Meph floated around her when she seemed to find a new vial. "Ooooo, that's interesting. Wonder what we'll find next." He asked, floating off to the next area

Meph spotted the Quilava nibbling on a berry, that soon glared at him when he realized he no longer was alone. Didn't he run into one before? Either way, he was prepared for an attack

Sure enough, the Quilava attacked, but Meph moved out of the way and explained that he wasn't interested in the berry. The Quilava didn't believe him for a moment, but soon enough, his interest in the berry prevailed and he returned to nibbling on it.

"Well, he seemed pretty protective of his meal!" Squishy chuckled. But she knew food was hard to come by, particularly in caves, so she didn't hold it against the Quilava.
If anything, she was glad he was so calm about it.
"Oooo~ I'm just happy that he was just able to be talked to, unlike that Cha-" Meph stopped himself as he examined the next area, not wanting to jinx himself.

that was true. The quilava had been much nicer than that charizard, though at this point she was starting to think any pokemon would be nicer than that guy. He was just one rude dude.
