"Maybe," Jordan conceded, exhaling a long breath. "I wish I knew what." He looked up at Al and considered the offer briefly. "Okay. That'd be nice of you."

Al's smile grew and he might have sparkled a bit, "Awesome! I'll make the best coffee ever, ok?"

Memory or no memory, Al's enthusiastic sparkle when he felt that he'd pleased somebody he wanted to like him was always the same. That was weirdly comforting. "I'm sure you will," Jordan said, and pulled the plate with the toast back over. He hadn't been hungry since waking up, but if he didn't eat he was going to keel over at some point.

He couldn't stick around too much longer, because pretty soon he was going to have to go make sure that neither of the people currently inhabiting his guys' heads were doing anything colossally stupid, but Jordan could really, really use a break and a little sympathy, and Al was helping with that. He stayed put and ate his toast.

Al eventually returned with a thick heavily caffeinated and sweet brew of coffee. It looked horrendous but clearly had every bit of effort put in to make it mix perfectly. At least there was a lot of it and every bit of it tasted of coffee. "Sorry it took so long. The coffee maker wasn't priority so I had to cook it myself."

The coffee looked horrible, and when Jordan sipped it cautiously, he discovered that the grounds were still in the liquid. It was a good thing that he had a well-practiced poker face. "Thank you, Al," he said. "One of these days I'll teach you my secret techniques for gourmet coffee."
You mean teach him how to make coffee that's drinkable, Ferros snickered.
Shush, he put a lot of effort into this. "I should get back and make sure they're not getting into trouble without me," Jordan said aloud. "I'll just take this with me." He got up from the table, carrying the mug.

"Okay!" Al answered about his coffee lesson, "Don't forget though, I'm holding you to that." He waved at Jordan before investigating his tray for anything left on it before commandeering it to load up at the bar with whatever could fit. His appetite somewhere along the line seems to have returned.
