Jericho soon realized that he was leaving Riley behind. Glancing back, he angled his wings and started to round about so that he could fetch her. He hadn't quite realized that she was that much slower than him when it came to flight. His movements were still unrefined, but he did manage to u-turn, flying up and towards her.

Just as she'd expected, he turned around, and she watched him come closer. It was difficult to time it, but she tried to wait until he was just beneath her, to snap her wings shut and plummet down. She miscalculated, smacking into his side. Her tentacles snapped out to catch him, but they were slipping, so her wings flared back into life just enough to give her the leverage to climb back on his back.

Well. She huffed out with an embarrassed laugh, as she flattened against his back. That could have gone better.

Jericho tried to slow down so that Riley could land on him more easily. It didn't seem to be quite enough as she ended up flying right into him. He quickly looked back at her, trying to see what was happening. Thankfully, she managed to climb back on without slipping away completely.
