Jil had finally reached the end of the line. The castle she'd been aimed towards was right in front of her and it was a relief. As she dismounted, the ghoul almost felt bad about the problems she'd had with Mount. She gave the camel a nose pat and he rubbed back against her hand. It was enough to make the solemn ghoul smile.
"Here you go Mount.." She opened the bag of supplies for him, letting him eat all he wanted as she went into the castle. She called her weapon unsure what would be waiting but at the center all she found was a blessing.
A memory.
Her brother was gone. He had been as dear to her as any of them, as close as siblings of the same generation could be. He was taken.. taken by the white coats. Would he come back? Would she ever hear his endless drone of calculations again?
