She was pouting and it was adorable. She was close to him and he thrilled in that fact but for once he didn't point it out. He didn't reach out to hold her either, his arms wanted to, they twitched at the reflex to want to wind around her bit he kept them to his side.
He just smiled down at and shook his head, "I didn't call you a cheater, not exactly," he pointed out calmly.
"Either way, sweetheart, would you have been happy if I let you win?" He asked curiously. At her question he tilted his head to the side and answered, "Not too long ago. Just sitting around and relaxing."
Missing you.

Looking for him first.
Robert's hands stilled on the saddle, and his shoulders slumped, as the guilt reached phenomenal proportions. He turned around, just to respond, but when he caught sight of the way she looked, staring down at her feet; so uncertain, so ready to be shattered;
This was terrible.
Because something inside of him absolutely refused to hurt her. He didn't know why, and he didn't know if refusing to hurt her was, in turn, just going to hurt her more in the end, but he couldn't do it. He physically couldn't do it.
So his mouth, which had opened for a second, snapped shut again, and he slumped further in resignation.
"Come here." His arms reached out and pulled the girl into them, hugging her like a cherished teddy bear. He might not have watched his strength as much as he should have, but emotions were running high, and he wasn't thinking very clearly. But he couldn't hurt Simmy. Mimsy. He couldn't hurt her.
But he didn't know what option would truly prevent it. Or if there even was one.
Ami was pleased to stop off at another place. It seemed like there were a lot of people, but she was actually rather happy not to talk to them. Her and her goat were just fine prancing through, grabbing little bits of wonderful replenishing supplies, and then leaving on their way.

Freya's hands went to her sit on her hips, and she continued to try and lean threateningly at him. Because she was just so threatening.
"No." She admitted sourly. "But I'll win the next one. Just you wait." Her hand lifted and one finger poked his chest in punctuation of the next three words. "Just. You. Wait."
More people started to walk in and out, and Freya let her attention wander, watching them go by. "Well, at least you weren't here too long. Did I miss anything interesting? I keep thinking some giant.. monster thing.. is going to drop out of the sky and attack us, you know?"

Kettil didn't even lean away from her despite how (not) afraid of her he was. He just took the prodding at his chest and sort of twitched a little under the force of it because it was pretty hard. That area still felt a little sore - just from the memory of certain events.
He glanced over at Ami and lifted a hand in greeting toward her before he focused on Freya again and almost automatically he put a hand over her mouth, "Don't jinx us. Shhhhshshsh."
Stranger things have happened. He couldn't remember them right now but...
Then he realized he was covering Freya's mouth and suddenly jerked his hands away and he suddenly became bashful.

Freya's face blanked out with surprise when he covered her mouth, which was the only reason she didn't manage to lick his hand in time. He pulled away, and she cursed the missed opportunity, but the sudden bashfulness made her go cross eyed with surprise.
"Are you.. like.. not even letting yourself touch me anymore?"
Yeah. She just. She just got that one. Congrats, she's a winner.
The sudden change in climate was unexpected, but definitely not unappreciated. Shiloh mimicked his alpaca, the two of them shaking the snow off of themselves in unison.
Then he straightened out, readjusting his bandana to its regular position now that his face no longer needed protection from the cold. Leading Penny into the grove, Shiloh glanced around curiously to see who'd made it. He recognized a few, Kettil was here, and the couple was too, though they seemed to be in the middle of something again. As he turned back to Kettil, who was talking to a blonde that Shiloh didn't recognized, he realized that Kettil was pretty busy too, perhaps with things of a similar nature.
Shaking his head with a chuckle, he grinned at Penny.
"Guess it's just you and me for a bit, girl. Let's get something to eat, I'm starved... No, no don't read into it, it's not a romantic dinner. I'm sorry Penny, but you're just not my type! Oh, Penny, don't take it personally, it's me, not you..."
He was busy laughing to himself. Penny, meanwhile, didn't look particularly impressed.

He blushed and his eyes flicked over to the side and then back at her, "I...Touching you is what...started the ... thing and ...I figure maybe if I give you time ..."
Kettil shifted his shoulders a bit, "I am ... just uh..respecting your space."
He was trying to be patient.
"Because.. I don't know why entirely but you .. mean that much to me..." He finished finally. He suddenly felt as if he got caught staring at her for too long.

Mimsy was still staring at her feet, busy counting the pebbles by her feet (twelve) and wishing she could build a little wall around herself with them. She flinched when he spoke, but he said something she hadn't expected; something she was happy to comply with.
She wrapped her arms around him and hugged back, even if he was hugging her a little too tightly. And then a lot too tightly.
"Heeey, you're hurting me," she mumbled, despite making no attempt to free herself.
She did, however, wave another tiny, trapped wave as she saw someone familiar arrive past his arm. He was saying such cute things to his alpaca that she couldn't help giggling as she watched the two of them, wishing that she could talk to her alpaca like that.
But it was just a tool for her transportation. Simmy might have thought differently, but Mimsy was certain.

Freya was stunned beyond words. It would have been nice to let the natural course of emotions follow when a man said something like that to a woman. It would have felt so good to simply say, me too. To stop the charade of not having feelings for him, and just, go back to how they were before.
It would have been nice.
"Thank you." She muttered out, her skin flushing a violent shade of patchy red. "I mean, I appreciate that you're.. trying to respect my wishes. So thanks. And I'll be honest with you, I sort of wish I knew why I mean that much to you too. Because right now, I haven't the faintest."
And that was the real problem. One that wasn't going away anytime soon.
But as a peace offering, she picked up his hand, and placed it very slowly on her mouth, where it had been before he'd pulled away. She left it there, and let her hands dropped.
Diana waved at the girl who had asked if she needed any help. "Help in the long run might be nice, after all one never knows what one will find in travels like these. Though if you need help as well I will come. My name is Diana." She said with a giggle as she turned to the guy who had called at her, offering his help as well. "Thanks! If I need anything I'll call! Vice versa though ok? Just call for Diana!" she called back with a grin before picking up her bags. She then strapped the packs to Tia with a slight smile on her face before climbing up onto her mount and heading out with a, "You guys be careful out there alright? I'm heading out, I'm behind scheduled as is."

Kettil stared as she blushed and then he froze when she moved his hand and then licked it. He just sort of stood there with a bemused sort of look on his face before his only response was to lean toward her now and n** her nose in retaliation.
The bite was light and the most she got was grazing of teeth against skin followed by a sharp neat clacking sound that teeth always made when forcefully brought together.
He was aware of others around him but right now he was retaliating, "Keep that up and I won't be able to hold back."
Robert let out a single bark of laughter, and let her go, turning her around in the direction of the guy she was waving at and sending her off to go talk to him with a soft pat. "I do that." He laughed out, though somewhere in the sound, the laughter was hollow. He did that, he reasoned. He hurt people.
Maybe that was just who he really was, after all.
He didn't know if he could live with that. But he wanted to be sure, before he made anymore decisions.
"All right, ********, get UP." He turned around and pulled his alpaca to its feet. It whined, biting his arm, but Robert still got on his saddle and weighed the poor thing down. "We're almost done, little buddy. I can feel it!"
The alpaca could feel it, too.
And by it, I mean Robert's a**.

The girl caught in a hug caught his attention with a wave, and he smiled at her, thinking to remember her name. Mimsy, that was it. And he was Robert. He smiled again, waving back at the two of them. They seemed to be having a good time, but then it appeared as though Robert was leaving. Shiloh paused, tilting his head curiously as the man nudged Mimsy in his direction, watching as he hopped onto his alpaca, pulling it to its feet.
Poor ********, Shiloh thought, giving Robert a wave good-bye before turning his attention to Mimsy.
Freya leaned back as he leaned in, her eyes going wide with sudden anxiety as he came closer. He wouldn't - he'd promised - he'd just said -
And then he nipped her nose, and her eyes narrowed with a mixture of glee and relief. Of course, the relief vanished the moment he issued his warning. And of all the warnings she'd ever received in her life, she truly believed that one.
So she stopped.
"Let's." Her breathing quickened, and then she huffed to calm it. "Let's uh."
She waved at the alpacas. The trail. Anything that wasn't her red face.
