She blinked. Princess Luna's son? "Oh!" she exclaimed and stood. "It's very nice to meet you!" she said and smiled. Bothering her? How could he possibly be bothering her? Her sister would probably be ten kinds of excited to know she was talking to a prince. Thinking of Rarity made her giggle a little. "No, no, you're not bothering me at all! I'm glad you did. There's not many here around our age, is there?" she asked and giggled again. Her smiled faltered just a little when an armored Fauny with batwings came up behind Wild Moon. "Ah..you're not in trouble for being here, are you?" she asked.

Ruze grinned. He was shy? That was so....cute! "Really? I've never climbed a mountain before, but it sounded like fun," she said. She smirked a little when she caught him looking at her snake. "She's pretty, isn't she? The way she shimmers in the sunlight," she said and held her arm out, letting Tizzy coil around it. The rainbow boa's scales shimmered colorfully as she moved. "Her name's Tizzy. And I'm Firuzeh, but you can call me Ruze if you want," she grinned. He really was quite adorable.

Tartara Seabreeze

Starry had changed, long ago when she'd been left. She didn't want to be hurt again. Not by the same pae. They'd grown up together, shared quite a few memories, and in the end, they'd gotten married and had children together. She couldn't easily forget any of it. Those were the best times of her life. But he'd left her. Even once was too much. Just like Junior had been left, Starry wasn't the same as she used to be. She couldn't be.

"It's..." She ran a hand through her hair. The female demon loved Dameon, she did. But he wasn't... No, he was the same, but it wasn't what she needed. Not right now. Starry needed someone that was going to stick to her the way Sigurd does to Shage. She couldn't stand another heart break.

"Lets try to forget the last few months?" She offered, trying to give it her all. He'd come back to her, even after all this time. She should at least give him the chance to show he still loved her the way he used to. And she knew there were barriers that needed to be put down, no matter how much she wanted to keep them up. "I'm not going to be the same pae I used to. There's been too much heartbreak for that. But... I love you Dameon, that will never change." What she didn't say was the type of love might have changed. Even Starry didn't really know what had happened. He was still the pae she'd fallen for so many seasons ago. She'd promised him many things. Starry was dropping the ball.

"I I haven't either." He blushed a bit deeper when she smirked and told him about tizzy. "Oh ye yes, her scales are interesting." He watched Tizzy curiously as her scales shimmered as she slithered down Firuzeh's arm. "I'm Noirocher, but uh, you can call me Noir, if you'd like?" He hadn't meant for that last part to come out sounding like a question, but it had. Ruzeh seemed nice and he supposed he should say something else, maybe the its nice to meet you thing? But his shyness got the best of him and he ended up just fidgeting more instead of talking.

Her words were encouraging and tried their best to lift his heavy heart. But he was so tired of this. He felt like he was running a marathon he'd never win. No mattered how hard he tried, no matter what he said or did, it wasn't good enough. It might never be good enough. Was he fool for trying so hard on a relationship that didn't want to work anymore? Without warning, the male reached out and pulled the female into a hug. "Ah walt etern evol co." He murmured into her hair, closing his eyes. "I will always love you." Then let me be a fool. I can't stop trying.

OOC: To those wondering what in the world he's babbling about, Tartara was half-nymph. That's the nymphish language I created years ago XD Sadly, that's really the only thing he remembers.

Tartara Seabreeze

Starry blushed, leaning into his hug. The entire time he'd been back they hadn't hugged quiet like this. Okay, that was a lie. When he'd first come back she'd hugged him similarly. Even for as much as she wasn't ready for her life to change so drastically once more.

Her arms wrapped around his torso, squeezing him in response. And the words that came with it. The female smiled, nuzzling into him. The feel of his skin against her face. It was something she'd been missing and hadn't known.

"Me too Dame, me too."

( As a note, Starry knows he's speaking the language but doesn't understand it. They grew up together so she would know bits and pieces even if she doesn't remember it )

He grinned, feeling relieved she wasn't bothered and he couldn't help but smile when she giggled. It was kinda cute.. "Yeah, not many our age here that's for sure...." he rubbed his neck, just thinking about how he probably shouldn't even be here when....

A hard lump swallowed in his throat and he slowly peered around, Sweetie Bell's words echoing in his ears. Ah. you're not in trouble for being here, are you? ... "I am now..." he whispered softly and swallowed. "Ah... Hi... Nightwing... " he said and glanced down at his hooves, fidgeting a little bit. He certainly didn't have permission to be out here and probably shouldn't lie. Not even his dad, as easy going as he was, would have said yes to this crazy hair brained idea. "Yeah... um... about that...." he fumbled and glanced back at Sweetie Bell, giving her an apologetic look.

User Image Cloud Chaser definitely enjoyed these fairies, they were loud, and very fun. She only wondered if she could handle their liquor. Didn't mean she wasn't going to try!

Still, the one standing by looked as though he wasn't to be trifled with, and she took the bag, and breathed a sigh of relief that the fairy found her acceptable. The fauny took a quick look through the bag, and was pleased to see a good amount of supplies within, they had even given her a song book! And an old boot.

What was she expected to do with an old boot? She twisted her mouth a little to the side.

Might as well go investigate what their spirits tasted like. She hurried over to where they were situated and took a swig.

She managed not to vomit, or get a look of abject horror on her face as it burned its way down. That was definitely... warm. If not entirely too hot on her insides. Bleh.

User Image A children's book?

Really?

A children's book?

He stared at it a moment, dumbfounded, as he went through the items he'd been given. The rest of them all were fairly standard fare, and what he expected (well, except the toy ukulele, boot, and pipe), so he sighed at the book and set it aside for now. He supposed he could use it for kindling at some point if it became absolutely necessary. He supposed he should be insulted, and he was. But he'd told himself he was going to go through with this, so he would.

Even if the fairy didn't have anything more useful to him than a book, besides the basic supplies everyone seemed to have.

He filled his flask with the spirits, though he hadn't any intention of actually drinking them quite yet. Danori was not a terribly hard drinker most of the time, though he could have his moments, but he supposed he never knew when this outing might want to make him reconsider his sobriety for the day. He watched a blue-purple, winged female try and choke it down and decided that reconsidering sobriety would be a last ditch effort.

Tucking the flask of alcohol away anyway, even if he was now unsure as to if he should touch it, Danori shouldered the pack, adjusting it so that it sat evenly and didn't affect his center of gravity too badly. He noted that he might have to readjust the contents later, but for now it seemed to be alright.

Now, question was, how long was it until they were going to get underway?

The Solamir Fairies seemed to be overall impressed with those that had come by, though there were some unfortunate ones that were met with some level of ... annoyance and amusement by the fairies.

But not everyone could be a winner, could they?

Still, no one had impressed the one greeting them ultimately, and so, he pulled out the amethyst he held, shined it against his outfit, and tucked it back in his beard for safekeeping. No one would think to find it there.

Once he was certain that all of the Pae'il had arrived, whether they were wimpy or not, the Solamir Fairy flew up to one of the tallest boulders in the area, attempting to make sure he would be noticed despite his smaller stature. His voice was hard to miss, at least, projecting as if he was using a megaphone while he spoke. It was worth noting that he did not seem to have anything of the sort. "Hello Pae'il! Welcome to our humble abode up in the shadow of the Aura Nin!" That earned some rancorous laughter from his fellow Solamir, and the clinking of a couple of glasses below. "We have offered to take you on this journey to show you all what a wondrous place our mountains can be! They are relatively untouched by all of you," by the way he said that, it seemed he would prefer for it to remain that way, "so you will gain experiences that not many others of your kind have!"

He snorted. "But these mountains are not for the faint of heart! This is your last chance to turn around if you may be a coward, or if you think you are too weak yet to confront the looming terror of these mountains! There are creatures up here that your mind couldn't even imagine, all ready to consume you..."

When he heard an 'eep' from the crowd, he chortled. The other Solamir fairies seemed to follow suit, clinks of glasses able to be heard once again.

"But if ye are not a coward, come join us a bit further up the mountain, where we have made our true campsite for the night! Look on your maps if you must. There, we shall sing songs to celebrate before our journey, and celebrate doubly more with feast, merriment, and battles! Do not fear ... unless you need a wussy kit!" With uproarious laughter at the name of 'wussy kit'--clearly that thing in everyone's bags was the source of much amusement for the Solamir--the fairy stopped talking, flying off in the direction of the campsite.

Unfortunately for anyone who thought the hike was over after they made it to the meeting point, they were not exactly correct. Where the lowest X was marked on the map, there was indeed food, merriment, and even a small battle arena, but that was only after another half-hour's hike upwards. And if the Pae'il were not winded by that point, well... they needed to make their own tents too, it seemed, since while there were the materials for tents around, none were quite pitched the way they should be.

At the same time, it was ... gorgeous up there, and the food and spirits smelled delicious. The song and cheers were brightening, and the shouts from the battle arena were encouraging. It was unfortunate that this was the celebration before the trip started, wasn't it? ...

--------------------------------

(( Go join the celebration! It is okay to breeze over the further hike up if you wish -- there is going to be nothing particularly eventful on that path! Alternatively, you are free to RP it out.

If you have wings, you may attempt to fly to the campsite, but as this is an upwards flight, it may not necessarily get you there too much faster.

Naiad will not dry out hiking. In lieu of tents, they are being provided large aquarium-like tanks for slumber and rehydration. Privacy curtains are not supplied, because they are for wussies. In fact, Solamir Fairies think the tanks overall are for wussies, but that's what the Avalon Fairies insisted on...

In fact, the Solamir Fairies think the Naiad got the easy way out. Not having to pitch their own tents like everyone else has to ...

For Fun!:

Steal the Amethyst?
If you wish to steal the amethyst from the leading Solamir Fairy, roll 2d20. If your roll totals above 38, you manage to sneak the amethyst out of his beard! ... Otherwise, you get reprimanded and have your lantern and handaxe taken from you. Choose wisely. You may only try once.

Drinking the Solamir Celebratory Spirits
This is a particularly strong brew of alcohol that seems to even knock the Solamir off their feet. If you wish to try and drink a glass of this, roll a d20. If you roll a 18 or above, congratulations, you withstand the alcohol! Alternatively, if you roll a 4 or less, you're konked out until the next prompt... Oops. Otherwise, you are varying levels of drunk to very drunk.

Battle a Solamir?
Try stepping into the ring with a Solamir Fairy and see what happens! Roll 2d100. The first one represents you, and the second represents the Solamir fairy. Whichever one is higher wins. If you win, you gain one bottle of Solamir Celebratory Spirits to add to your pack.

Cloud Chaser had only tried a sip of the alcohol, might as well see how much she could handle.

She downed the glass with ease. It didn't burn as badly as she had expected. She didn't even cough all that much. Her head wasn't even clouded by the liquor.

The fauny licked her lips and grinned. "Good spirits!"

At the sound of the solamir's voice, the little music group that had seemingly banded up all but vanished, leaving each nodding to the other and packing their things. Well, except Sparrow, as she very notably forgot her on the ground. Her attention was elsewhere, entranced by the booming voices and clanking glass of those that were going to lead her on untold adventures. Oh, by the Guardians she simply couldn't wait! Only the strongest, like her, would be able to scale these mighty creatures.

The others, well, only time could tell how long they would last.

--------------------

This hike would be a breeze! Or... Well... She thought it was. Clearly, she was not quite as used to walking uphill as she thought she might be. Or walking for that matter. Anywhere. It hadn't dawned on her that she hadn't done much except haul herself in her room and pout for the past couple of weeks, maybe even a month. It was quite a sting to her pride.

Looking to the challenge ring and one of the solomir's, she grinned. If she could beat one of them, then being winded from such a little hike was just a fluke. If not... Well... She was a bit tired from it.

Daring Do looked up from her map just in time to see the glint of the Amethyst as the fairy shined it against his coat, and then smuggle it away. It must have been pretty important if the fairy was hiding it in his beard of no places. It was probably true that a thief would not think to look in a beard for priceless treasures. Daring was not a thief. However, she did feel that certain artifacts should be reclaimed for their historical values. It's not like she would just keep it for herself. Perhaps she would present it to the Princess or Chieftain to keep safe.

This journey might present many opportunities for her to collect such treasures and artifacts, and this was likely less special then any of them. However, the way this fairy, and the rest of them, spoke down at the group of pae was irritating, and he clearly did not deserve to have it. As she continued her hike to the next campsite on the map, Daring thought of how best she could accomplish taking a treasure from a beard unnoticed. If she was discovered it could prove disastrous for continuing on the trip considering the status of this particular fairy.

Daring had decided that it was not worth it by the time she reached the campsite, but when she saw the fairy again, everything in her plan had just seemed to line up so perfectly and she went for it.... and botched it. Daring sighed as she was reprimanded for trying to take it. "I am sorry..." she quickly thought on her feet an excuse. "I thought it was a large beetle and meant to swat it out of your beard." The fauny explained. Her axe and lantern were taken away, it wasn't the worst thing that could ever happen. Probably the most useful tools in her pack, aside from the map, but she was certain she was resourceful enough to survive without them.

Nicky was just about to take a drink of these so called spirits when the little fairy started talking. Okay, so they were making fun of all the pae around here. She frowned, putting the bottle back down. No idea what was going on around here. But there was... Fun stuff to do? She grinned, liking the idea of it. The halfling had no idea how long it was going to take to do any of this stuff, but she liked the idea of battles.

So much so, after arriving to the battle area she hopped in as soon as there was an opening. She'd never fought anyone before. Not even her brother when she really didn't want to be around him. Dominique grinned, facing off against the little fairy that seemed so tough. This really wouldn't be so hard at all. He was so tiny, and she was a lot bigger than he was. Just one st- ow ow ow ow. He'd gotten her pinned to the ground in an instant.

She groaned a bit, looking up at him. He was grinning cheekily at her. Oh he was in for it now. Nicky wiggled, trying to throw him off her. And he had a good grip. Ah hell, she winced, giving up. She'd lost horribly and she was well aware of it. But it was kinda fun trying?

"You win you win!" She offered, still trying to get him to let her go. She was just a teen after all. Even if her granddaddy was Pothos, it didn't mean she was all that strong.

It was the first time Starry was...starry in weeks. The smell of her hair, the warmth of her embrace, it was the best feeling in the whole island. He didn't want it to end. That was when a particularly loud fairy started 'welcoming' them in their particularly gruff way. He pulled from her with a soft kiss to her forehead to more properly look at the fairy as he talked. Wussy kit? They were referring to his childrens manual weren't they? The male had enough of their teasing, and being made into a fool with how winded the hike was. Starry thought he was a wimp, the fairies thought he was a wuss...He slung his bag over his shoulder and started up the mountain. The hike up was short, only 30 minutes or so, but it still was a tiring ordeal with the added weight on his back. By the time the pair made it up, he was sweating anew despite the chilly air. Cursed mountains...rude fairies... With the frustration of his situation with Starry, the insults continuously thrown at him had sent the normally gentle pae into a foul mood. "I'll be right back." He spoke softly to the female, dropping his pack. He went straight to the area, determined to blow off some steam. He was tired. He was weak. And he was going to kick some Fairy butt.

Or get his butt kicked. Tomato-tomahto. "Alright, lets do this!" The yellow demon jumped into the ring. To his surprise, the other didn't wait a second, flying straight at him. Fast. "Whoa!" The male quickly ducked, feeling the wind rush by with the force. "H-Hold on!" THUMP! A force crashed into his back, sending Dameon crashing forwards and off his feet. But as he fell forwards, he curled a shoulder to turn the hit into a roll, smoothly going back on to his feet. Ouch... His back stung, but not nearly as much as the smug look on the others face. Gritting his teeth, he made a charge of his own with a fist raised. With the much smaller and lighter size, the fairy easy swung to the side to easily evade. Thought so. Using his momentum, he pivoted on his right toes, swinging his fist right into his cheeky little face. The hit connected, sending the fairy a few feet back. Finally. Finally that smug smile was wiped off his face to at last look at him with some degree of respect. But he was tired. So tired. His body was beginning to tremble, but whether from exertion or adrenaline he couldn't tell. It had been ages since he spared like this. "Come at me!" Shaking his head to clear the blow from his mind, the fairy charged once more. But Dame had no intentions of simply ducking. To the shock of most, he ran at the creature as if to play chicken. But as the fairy went to swing, Dameon ducked low to slam his shoulder into the fairy's middle, sending them both crashing down. He got this, he really got this! Wait. The corners of his vision were beginning to darken. He had used up entirely too much energy! The male tried to grapple the male below him, but his movements were sluggish at best. With a mighty push, the fairy pulled them into a roll to fight for the top spot. In response, he used all his force to continue the momentum. They rolled all along the area, trading spots of being on top and bottom. Until finally, Dameon gave another push to continue and...he didn't budge. He tried again, but the strength wasn't there any more. A ringing sounded in his ears, his sight going into tunnel vision as he stared up at the fairy's triumphant face. "You...you win." The roar of applause from bystanders. He felt the other get up, but didn't really acknowledge it until he felt himself be pulled to his feet. As he stood there, catching his breath, slowly the ground solidified and his sight began to clear. They were both covered in dirt, with large grins on their faces. Why am I smiling? I lost. But for some strange reason he couldn't place, it had been...fun. Maybe Cressida and Junior had been onto something after all.

Starry sighed a bit as Dame had to pull away. They needed to listen to the fairy to see where they were going. Everything seemed alright until he said something about 'wussy kits.' Did that mean they were making fun of Dameon? Oh no, she was going to have none of that.

Glaring, Starry followed the annoying fairy up the mountain, keeping pace with her mate. He was about as slow as she was, which was a good thing. And fairly surprising that she was taking so long to climb. Yeah, it wound up being about thirty minutes, but good heavens it felt like longer. This was going to be a long vacation.

In any case, Dame ran off just as soon as they'd gotten up to the campsite. She rolled her eyes for a moment, letting him go. She had a fairy to pick a fight with. And he was right near the arena. The demon crackled her knuckles and advanced.

"No one insults my family like that!" She fussed at him, trying to go after the fairy. Starry was going to fail miserably, but she wasn't going to give up. She lunged, trying to take down the tiny fairy. Alas, he was too quick and used to brawling for her skill level.

He laughed at her and took her handaxe as well as her lantern. That was supposed to be her punishment? Starry rubbed her head, ignoring the fairy that was laughing at her. She really didn't need the lantern... The handaxe might have been something she would have missed, but she didn't really think that would be much of a problem. Dame would have one in his backpack. Right?

Speaking of Dame... Starry look over to the arena he was fighting in. She'd looked in just as he called the Fairy a winner. Oh, poor Dameon. But he was smiling. He must have had more fun in that pit than he thought he would've. She was proud of him, even if a little ashamed of herself.

"Whoo! Go Dameon!" She called, daring anyone to cross her. That was her mate down there, having put up a hell of a fight.
