Never Again...Herald nodded when she talked about how she would prefer a lot of things to her old situation. Again he understood that all too well. Her next comment made him look over at her just in time to catch her look up at the ceiling and turn red. "What do you...?" He asked her, his voice trailing off. Was she trying to say that it wouldn't be her? Eric had mentioned to him several times that women liked to imply things rather than say them, but that had never made much sense to him. Was this one of those things? He had no idea what she was thinking right now. Will I be bound in chains

Emma continued to stare at the ceiling as her face grew a deeper shade of red. She sat up then "Is there a bath of sorts anywhere?" she asked, managing to look over at him for a few seconds before looking forward and down.

Never Again...Herald looked over at her again, blinking in surprise at her sudden change in topic. "Of course," he replied, leaning up slightly to point at a partially open door on the far wall of the room. Her face was a deeper red now. "I made it there." Will I be bound in chains

Emma looked over towards where it was before giving him a quick smile "Thank you. I will be right back." she said as she stood up and walked over to the door and quickly went in before shutting it. She sighed before glancing at herself in a mirror Why did I get so nervous just then? she wondered as the red in her face began to lighten slightly. She looked towards the rub, staring at it for a few moments before turning on the hot water. She placed her clothes in a stack on a counter nearby and quickly climbed in. She was silent for a few moments before sinking into the water and sighing again.

Never Again...Herald sat up on the bed, quietly watching Emma walk into the bathroom and shut the door. In several moments he heard the water begin to run. Had he said something wrong? He listened quietly to her get in the bath as he stood up and stretched. Finally, he walked to the door, leaning his back against it. "I've always....lived alone my entire life," he told her quietly as he put his hands in his pockets. "In a cell or in a cage. Only coming out to fight. This is....new."Will I be bound in chains

Emma's ears twitched as she heard Harold come up to the door and begin speaking. She listened quietly as she sat in the water before going under for a few seconds and coming back up "It feels strange right?" she asked.

Never Again...Herald nodded when he heard Emma, before realizing she couldn't see him from the other side of the door. "It is," he agreed, looking up at the ceiling. "I'm sorry I don't....know how to do it....right," he admitted. It was probably Herald's first admission to doing anything wrong ever. Though of course this had nothing to do with combat. If it did Herald would have been able to understand it a lot better. This was an arena he had never experienced. Will I be bound in chains

Emma was washing her hair but stopped and was quiet for a few moments after hearing Harold apologize. She smiled then "What are you apologizing for? I don't think you are doing anything wrong." she told him with a warm tone. She quickly went under water again to rinse her hair out before popping back up.

Never Again...Herald listened to Emma's response. "It's strange," he replied, scratching the back of his head. He heard her go underwater and come back up after a moment. "It's like we're married or something..." The irony and implications of his statement were completely lost on straight-thinking Herald as he continued scratching the back of his head. By then, Emma was standing and unplugging the drain. She was about to get out before hearing Harold say they were married "W-What?" she managed to say before slipping and falling out of the rub with a large thud "Ow..." she muttered as she sat up and rubbed her head. "Let's not take it that far yet." she said as she sat there and continued rubbing her head still, muttering a few words of choice.

Never Again...Herald stopped scratching his head and looked back at the door when he heard her fall over on the rug. "Take what that far?" He asked in a confused tone as he heard her get back up. "Try not to kill yourself..." he muttered as he waited for her response. Will I be bound in chains

"The marriage thing... Never mind..." Emma said with a huff as she got up and got a towel. She quickly dried herself off before beginning to change back into her clothes.

Never Again...Herald listened to Emma step out of the bath. He could feel the steam coming through the door from the hot water. Suddenly he remembered he had forgotten to create towels. He had probably overlooked several other things in his creation of the realm. Tiny details were not his strong suite. "Do you need a towel?" He asked through the door, figuring he should offer her one. He looked around for something that could substitute while he waited for her response. Will I be bound in chains

While holding her clothes, Emma glanced over towards the door "If you have any, yes. Otherwise, I would be alright air drying or whatever." she told him.

Never Again...Herald nodded and began looking around for a towel. After a few minutes of searching the best he could find was a blanket, so he took it and went back to the door. Without thinking, he opened the door wide and held out the towel to her. Will I be bound in chains
