Jarlan shook a bit, seeing Wylie like this put him on edge. Then he saw his eyes reflected, and then Jameson's eyes came into his view. Then he began to shake out of anger. "Wylie get out of my head. Now." He hated doing this, but he was using his power, his hair shining silver softly. He walked to her and threw her over his shoulder. "Let's go see the pine trees, Mad Hattress." He turned back to Jameson and gave a smile, one reminiscent of his late wife's. "I'm sorry about her. I hope she didn't strike a nerve." He then walked her outside and plopped her next to a tree.

Wylie jumped at his voice, and did as she was told, though whether it was because of his power, or simply because it was him, they would never know. Blinking, and a flush of shame going over her face at she realized what she'd done- retaining memory of her sanity lapse happened occasionally- she glanced down. Suddenly, she was tossed over his shoulder, her legs- clad in white pants- hanging instead of waving around with energy like usual.
Jameson blinked at the two odd people as they left. "Jordan..." He fell into a chair nearby, staring blankly at the door. "He's alive.."
Wylie didn't say a word as she sat there, her head dipped to hide her shame. She'd never been very together, but in the last three years she had only gotten worse, and she was braced for him to yell at her and tell her to go away forever, or never speak to him... A single tear slipped out, sliding down her scraped cheek, the salt stinging. "Srry." She mumbled.

Jarlan didn't yell. Instead he lifted her face and wiped away her tear. "Hey now, no crying. I'm not mad, not anymore. I just didn't like you in my head like that is all." He smiled gently and hugged her comfortingly. "You had me a bit worried there, I'm sorry. For using it against ya." He began to shake softly, scared that Iniko might have found the parent he was ripped away from. That would also mean his mother was dead. "I'm scared, Wylie." He admitted softly, while letting go of her. "Let's go back inside now." He said, beginning to walk back into the house.

When her face was lifted, she stared into his eyes, and swallowed. "I'm sorry. I can't... control it." She gave a weak, fractured smile. "Good thing I've got you around then, huh.. To control it for me." Her joke fell flat, her vivacious self weakened and faded for the moment. "Don't apologize, it's alright." When she felt him begin to shake, she swallowed, and took a bold moment herself, standing up and wrapping her arms around him tightly. "I know. It'll be alright." She unconsciously nuzzled her face into his chest. " When he said it was time to go, she nodded, and moved towards him, following him into the house. "I-" She stopped, glancing away. But at the last minute, when they'd left, Jameson's imagination had bled into her mind, with a clear, distinct picture of his wife... Jarlans mother. She could tell. The features were too closely overlapped, the timing... Jameson was his father.

Jarlan saw Jameson and he opened his mouth, then shut it. He saw the similarities between himself and this man and he took a chance he was scared of. He grabbed onto Wylie' s arm. "Can I see her picture. . . My mother's?" Jarlan didn't express himself often, but tears began to fall. They were both happy and sad, as he looked at the man who had missed him growing up.

Jameson swallowed, guiltily. "I don't have any." He brushed his hair out of his face. "The last one I had got swallowed in a fire not long after she died..." Wylie gently touched Jarlans arm. "I can help, he remembers her." She glanced at Jameson. "Keep her pictured in your mind." She then sent an image into only Jarlans mind of his mother. She was on a swing, laughing and swinging. It was supposed to be a still picture, but that wasn't what Jameson imagined. Quickly breaking off contact, Wylie glanced up at Jarlan, to see if that was too much.

Jarlan saw the picture and he let the tears flow freely. "She was so pretty." He covered his face and took deep breaths, not used to showing his emotions this much. "I'm sorry I'm trying not to cry, really." He managed to sob out, trying to be quiet.
But he wasn't quiet and it woke up Nieve. She blinked, seeing Iniko sleeping next to her, she blushed before she shook him awake softly. "Iniko, Jarlan's crying. C'mon."

Wylie patted his head in a slight petting motion- standing on her tip toes to reach. "There there."
Iniko woke up shuddering, and when jostled, he sat up quickly, whipping out a gun and aiming it for the window. "Buh?" Blinking, confused as to why things look so slow, then realizing he'd instictively slowed down time. Turning it back to normal, he stood up, and walked into the other room, accidentally forgetting about the gun in his hand. "Jarlan? What's up?"

Nieve jolted back when she saw the gun being taken out and blinked. She then watched him get up and walk out, not really acknowledging that she was even there. She pouted a bit, then took her boots off. When she stood she was a bit shorter, thanks to the lack of heels and she walked in the room just in time to hear Jarlan talk.
Jarlan's voice sounded broken as he took his hands away from his face. "You found my father, Iniko. You found him." His cheeks had tears pouring down them, and his eyes had begun to turn red.
Nieve immediately ran, very quickly one might say, to Jarlan and hugged him. "Oh Jarlan." Her tiny frame against his tall one looked a bit like an adult's and child's. She rubbed his back comfortingly and let go smiling at Jameson weakly. "I'm glad one parent gets a sense of relief and can meet their child again." She then turned and walked away, sitting on her bed once more. She wouldn't admit that she was a bit upset, but the ice sculptures she was making said it all. The color of these ice sculptures said it all as well, being a black, mimicking black ice on roads. Does this mean Jarlan won't think of us as family anymore?

Iniko blinked a bit at Jarlan, glanced at Jameson, then back at Jarlan. "Where?" He looked back at Jameson again. "You? Seriously?" He frowned. "You guys don't look anything alike. Sure you're both tall... with blue eyes... and similar face structure..." Iniko frowned. "Three years and I never noticed that?!"
Wylie stepped away from Jarlan as he began talking ti Iniko, walking after Nieve and sitting down next to her. "Now, now, Queenie, don't be sad." She ran her hand over Nieves hair. "It'll all be alright." She leaned her cheek against Nieve's head. "There's always more room in one's heart to love."

Nieve leaned against Wylie and sighed. "I just don't want him to forget that we are his family too. I'm happy for him, finding his dad and all." She let the ice flakes fall again. "My body is too cold, Iniko was shuddering. Sometimes I wish I was warmer." She sat up straight again and caught her ice flakes in her hand.
Jarlan laughed, breaking his sobbing and he wiped his face. "You never were one to notice things like that." He sat down in a chair and looked at his recently discovered father. "I guess I'm home now." He chuckled happily and relaxed in his chair, tired from being so emotional today.

She nodded. "He won't. And don't worry, Iniko will be alright. Maybe you guys just need to wrap a blanket between you?" Wylie smiled encouragingly at her. "And hey, having a cold body isn't the worst side effect you couldve gotten. What if you outright turned to ice and melted outside a freezer?!"
Iniko gave a weak nod, glancing at Jameson. "Glad you see you've recovered from the shock, but I'm not sure your dad did."
((too tired to color, sorry))

Nieve smiled weakly. "I don't want to have to have a blanket between us. He's so warm, and I just wish I could offer the same." She smiled again, this time a bit sadly, and looked at Wylie. "Could I be left alone for a minute? Then feel free to come back in..." She laid down in her bed and pulled the covers over her head.
Jarlan looked at his dad and frowned. "I'm sorry, Jameson..." The word 'Dad' still seemed awkward to him and he stood up. "I'm gonna head out for a walk..." He shuffled his feet across the floor and walked out the front door sitting in the grass on the side of the house.

Wylie rubbed her back, trying to make her feel better. "On some level, I understand. On so many others, all i can do is offer my sympathy." She hugged her close, closing her eyes and enjoying the contact, having missed her friend deeply. So very much. When she pulled away and laid down, Wylie petted her hair. "Sure. Just give me a moment more of feeling protective." Her eyes sad, she stood up and walked out of the room, in time to see Jarlan apologize.
"No, I'm sorry, boy." From Jameson, 'boy' was a term of endearment meant for his son. "I should've fought more to find you." Jameson's heart ached when he watched his son leave, and he closed his eyes, pained. "What do I do..."
Wylie glanced at Jameson, before heading towards the door. Iniko stopped her with a hand on her shoulder. "Why don't you let me handle this. It's a delicate situation." Wylie raised an eyebrow at his implication that he was more delicate than her, but she waved a hand towards the door. "By all means, Chesire."
Iniko nodded, and followed Jarlan. "So," He frowned and glanced at the sky. "A parent. That's cool." Great start. I should've let Wylie handle this, but what if she lost it again? Shoving his hair out of his face, he sighed. "I'm doing a horrible job of this." He plopped down next to him. "I know it might not help, but Jameson is a good man. I won't lie, I pretended to myself from time to time that he was my father." Chuckling, Iniko put his hand on Jarlan's shoulder. "So any time you decide you don't want him, I'll gladly take him." He sobered. "We're here for you, Jarlan. Don't doubt it."

Nieve enjoyed her friend, and when she had gotten up and walked out, Evie let out a shaky breath. A tear began to roll, but it froze on her cheek. She stayed bundled under the blankets, hoping the warmth would melt it. She shuddered, beginning to feel the warmth and it burned. Any sort of heat pained her a bit, but she stayed determined to stay under the blankets. The tear had melted away finally, and she threw the blankets off. Her skin felt like it was burning, but there wasn't any other way to get rid of the evidence to her sadness. Face flushed, and her body shuddering, she walked out and muttered a soft, "Direct me to the nearest freezer?" She had heard Jameson's comment on what he should do and she perked up a bit, for her friend. "You be a good dad, that's what."
Jarlan looked at Iniko and blinked. "I know you guys are, and I can tell he's a good man. It's just a lot to take in. I just met my father.." His eyes went sad. "I'll never be able to meet my mother..." He sighed and looked up at the sky. "I don't even know how to be someone's child Iniko. How do I act, how do I speak? Do I tell him I'm glad to see him or do I tell him how pissed I am that he didn't find me like a father should?" He let his shoulders slump and he shook his head. "All I know for sure is I am hungry, so after I eat, I'm sleeping. That's it. I'll figure everything else out tomorrow." the confusion was plastered all over Jarlan's face and his eyes held nothing but uncertainty.
