Amrita wasn't sure what she was doing here, on a boat in the middle of no where. Yet there she was, and she needed a way to get through it. Instead of focusing on the obvious, she focused on something else; namely the oddly porous spots or the unfinished deck. She followed it until she found a little opening, and worked at it with her fingers until it enventually opened.
Then she noticed the levers nearby, and felt a little silly.

She hopped below deck, landing with a light thud on the floor below. The first thing she noticed was the smell, and had to cover her nose to stop it from overcoming her. One hand went up to grab a lantern, briefly surprised at the way it lit up on it's own, but not really thinking too hard on it. What she did think on though, was the way everything seemed to be empty...there wasn't cargo, but there was broken locks and shackles...
The hairs raise on the back of her neck and she makes a break for it. Along the way a different smell revolted her senses, and it didn't take long to find the culprit: the pile of rotting meat and skull-less bones. She squinted at the remains, thinking she found a key. Grabbing it, she continued to flee back to the main deck.

She tried the key in the lock, and thrilled upon hearing the telling click. She made it to the ornate cabin as the water rushed in, making good on it's threat to end her.
