Jordan raised an eyebrow right back and picked up the fork instead.

Al watched Jordan keenly, then his fork, then him and his fork, then just the fork again. He looked like he was expecting something amazing.

Jordan calmly reached over, evaded the hand block, and acquired a bite of tamale.
Magical.

b*****d.
Shame that was the only bite Jordan was going to get. The whole thing just seemed to... disappear. Quickly. Leaf licked clean. Only Al most certainly was the guilty party as he wasn't exactly a blur as he did it with his bare hands. "Wow Jordan, you ate that fast."

"I know, right? It's just really good. Shame you only got one bite." Jordan grinned. "I guess you won't be wanting to try the spicy kind, since you'd rather have a donut. Oh, well, more for me."

"I don't know. No harm in trying both," Al smiled.

"I see." Jordan's grin widened. "You're - " He bit off the rest of the sentence. Open to new experiences. Nope, he wasn't going to say that and remind both of them of the awkwardness that was still way too recent. "A culinary pioneer," he finished, with no more than a momentary hitch in the statement.

"If Rep could do it, so can I." Al responded. Too soon? Nahhh...

"You'll have to come by and pick it up at some point, I'm not doing any more running back and forth tonight." Jordan handed the fork back.

"Lazy~" Al taunted but smiled. "Is everyone in right now?" It's been awhile since he's seen Rep.

"Yeah," Jordan nodded. "None of us has night duty tonight." He paused. "I should probably go make sure Rep's got his bathrobe on." He slipped out and headed down the hall before Al could respond to that.

Al just stared as Jordan scurried off with a touch tmi. He waited a good while before slowly following.

It was probably a good thing Jordan went on ahead to check because Rep most certainly didn't have a bathrobe on or any kind of garment at all. The island was hot and Rep dealt with it by not making it worse if he could humanly help it, and whatever body shyness he possessed was shelved in the sanctuary of the room.
When Jordan got back Rep was draped over Harrison, reading obnoxiously over his shoulder and glanced up at the sound of the door opening.
"Awright?" he purred in the usual overly affectionate growl he reserved only for the guys.

Harrison had been alternating between Warfare History books and Wedding planning.
The thing about weddings was that when you had zero money, they were a hell of a lot easier to plan. Even if you wanted champagne fountains and tiger-drawn carriages, their budget kept them stuck with paper cups and a boat captain. And they'd all decided they were okay with it.
Until the last mission's windfall had sent them 15k, and Rep had raked in another good sum of cash via entrepreneurial ventures. Stacked with successful missions and staying out of trouble, they had enough for a proper get together. Hell, they had enough to remodel the bathroom. And Rep had been wanting some new exercise equipment installed.
Harrison was flipping through several outdated October bridal magazines, courtesy of the library.
"Rainbow is not a ******** wedding color. You choose two or three. It says right here. ...Hi Jordan."

Jordan closed the door behind him, smiled at his guys, and spared a moment to have a few thoughts about texting Al and telling him some other time. He wandered over to then and leaned on Harrison's other shoulder. "I could live with rainbow," he said unhelpfully. "We're doing this kind of nontraditionally anyway."
He slid one arm around Rep's waist. "I almost got him believing he'd really lost a hand before I had to laugh," he said. "But I made the mistake of telling him you'd had a spicy tamale, so now he's insisting that if you can handle the spicy kind, he can too." A rueful smile. "So he's coming by shortly. You should probably put your robe on, unless you want to get the really shocked face."
