"Scruffy? Are you here?" She called out while looking around for that big beard oaf. The sounds of panic and clamor rang throughout the office. Soldiers were sprinting through the halls in an attempt to set the place in order. The door to the main office shot open and slammed against the wall as a young guard stumbled in, wildly reaching for the first mess he could find in order to clean it. He was frantic and desperately trying to finish in time for- A set of footsteps rang high and clear down the hall, and that frantic soldier shrieked as quietly as he could and bolted down the hall, leaving Saleria and Sophia alone. The footsteps came closer and closer until the King of the East himself walked through the doors. He was dressed similarly to most nobles, though there was a big difference. Akeem was wearing an open vest, baring his chest for the world to see. It was a fashion that he had taken to many years ago, perhaps because of his cultural upbringing in a Djinn community. West had told him royals did not dress like that, but he was King now. Unlike before, it was a very rich garment. It was black inlaid with golden thread along the rims. Upon his back was a stitched sigil of Aramil. His pants were loose fitting and white, giving plenty of room for maneuvering while not hindering him. Currently, the King looked a little miffed. He had been the last captain of the guard and with his recent promotion to the throne there was no one to take his place. Akeem had been so busy with running this place he had nearly forgotten about the latest batch of novices. Adepts and above tended to figure things out on their own, but with the recent events in Aramil Akeem did not want to leave his soldiers without direction. At heart he was a warrior and there was precious little fights to have in the court, at least with your body. He wanted to feel his muscles ache from pushing himself, wanting to duel with an enemy and see them fall before him. When he entered the office he paused for a moment, golden eyes looking up to behold the two girls before him. His face of dismay wiped away and was replaced with an air of excitement. A welcoming smile spread across and he reached a hand out to shake. "Ah, I was not expecting anyone to be here yet. I am happy to see there are those wih the sense of duty still. I am Akeem Malek, King of Aramil." The man was just shy of six feet and all of him was entirely handsome. His toned body was visible very clearly through his open vest. On his face was a well maintained light beard, and his hair was kept short enough to stay out of his eyes.

Saleria The Flame Typhoon ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ "I'm made of fire, I won't be so winded." Saleria told Sophia before she jumped up into Sophia's arms like a dog when it's scared. Soldiers were passing them by in the thousands before the place began deathly quiet. Saleria slowly eased herself off of Sophia, as she noticed the King and waved at him quietly. He seemed very strong and she was still relatively new in her mind before she saw him hold out his hand. She reached out to shake it, her flames currently calm as she smiled at him a tad. "S-Saleria, Knight under your kingdom sire." She responded before she cleared her throat. "W-We also have a few missions to report." Skills used this post:Sophia smiles at Saleria's statement. "Touché." As Saleria jumps, Sophia extends her arms catching her. She can't help but laugh for a moment. "Everything's okay, Saleria. No one's going to hurt you." When Akeem enters the room and approaches Sophia and Saleria, Sophia bows in respect before shaking Akeem's hand. "Pleasure to meet you, King Akeem. My name is Sophia, Soldier of Aramil. At your service." She smiles. "As my partner her said, we have a mission to report." She leans in towards Saleria and whispers, "Let's leave out the part about the spicy food..."

Akeem scratched at his beard with one hand and and onto a random desk with the other. Not too long ago he had shared this office with Maria, and occasionally Intet. Those were quieter days, before the page hunts and putting their lives on the line every day for Aramil and its people. As if the tip of the trident knew what was being thought about, it turned rather cold against Akeem's chest. One of the prong's of Kaminae's trident -- Belfast -- hung around his neck, held together with a thin chain. The djinn completely ignored it this time and instead focused on the two young girls before him. "Oh? Tell me then of your exploits." Saleria had announced herself a knight, which was evident from the weapons she was carrying with her. She was clearly a Phoenix, a race he had encountered on his travels many years ago. He thought it odd that her choice of residence was a land surrounded by water, but perhaps she sought adventure and liked to live on the edge. The thought couldn't help but pass through his head then; had she feared the end of days when Kaminae was visible from the coast of Aramil? Surely the Sea Witch would have retaliated and sought an end to the nation should Maria, the stranger Nai, and Akeem have failed. The waters would have risen and buried Aramil underneath the tides, claiming it as another portion of Los Anthos. But it hadn't. The King crossed his arms over his chest. His brilliant eyes flickered over to Sophia and analyzed her. She was a pretty human girl, fair of hair and blue of eyes. Her attire suggested some sort of Fraxonian influence, a norm for many of this nation. Shield, rapier, jian -- a double edged straightsword -- and a crossbow adorned her body. Akeem took a wild guess and assumed she too was a knight, or perhaps a weapon master. Briefly he thought on who would show them the ropes, for the only weapon the djinn had and needed was his own body. A part of his brain was already cooking up a new mission. He planned a trip to Amaranthine to assess what the situation there was for his own eyes. It was a part of his kingdom now and he could not forget that. Even the Wurms of the desert were not enough to keep the King away. Not only that, but Akeem wanted to visit Kevai as well. That had originally been all that West had promised him, and even then Akeem had initally refused to rule. Now he had the entirety of the Eastern part of the world to manage.

Saleria started as she was thinking for a moment on what else transpired. "We also had to calm down rising forces inside the sanctums of Lukhan, taking out the local insurrection here and there. It seems the met were very connected to whatever was causing the massive attacks." After that we helped quell some uprisings here during the Mer attacks, and ushered people into safety. Then we helped somewhat in downplaying the Mer's influence in the city. I helped raise their spirits while Saleria showed the strength of Aramil's forces. After that, Saleria's arm needed to heal for a little bit. It should be well enough now that we can go on any mission you have for us, sir." ((Sorry, shadow...forgot to put in her change of equipment lol. She had changed her inventory before she and Saleria headed back to Dathan sweatdrop ))

Saleria The Flame Typhoon ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓ Saleria tilted her head as the king responded to their reports but nodded when he was speaking about the mer. "Understood sir, we'll try to help get them calmed down more without the violence." She responded before crossing her arms when he mentioned something about the new mission. 'Amaranthine's coast.' echoed in Saleria's mind as she remembered deserts for as far as the eye could see. She grinned happily and nodded as she clapped her hands, her mind kind of going blank except the coast. Her right arm's cast had melted onto the ground from her excitement as her arm was fully recovered. "I'm ready to go!!!" But if someone does try and disturb Aramil, if it within my power to stand up to them, I will." She listens as Akeem describes their next mission. "I'd be honored to go with you." She bows respectfully. "Regardless of the danger, I will serve Aramil and its people however I can. If that means heading into a very dangerous area, I will do so." She straightens up and looks at Saleria's arm. She smiles. "Good, you're healed. Try to avoid the next spear that comes at you."
