The Next DayNick and Mai were on the living room's couch, with Mai on top of the shirtless Nick. His hand was over her resting on her lower back and he seemed to have some love marks left from last night, though he too left some on her as well. Even though they didn't have sex, they did have a long make out session last night. Though, he smelled only of a little alcohol, only a little to make him a bit confused but not drunk.

[ooc: ima go to bed because i am going to universal tomorrow (well today bc its like 2 am here) soo, i'll post back when i get home from the park c:]
Mai's head was hurting. And she had to use the bathroom. Her bladder was yelling at her as she opened her eyes. She had to adjust the sun setting.. Since when was the sun's rays so blinding? Maybe since she easily got drunk last night. Mai grunted to herself. She didn't want to move. Her hand slid up from where it was at. She felt skin... Mai flipped off of Nick and stammered, "Wha-...what... What?" She covered her mouth, seeing how she was seriously was about to throw up. Her eyes widened as she scrambled to get up and go to the nearest bathroom and get rid of the bile that was in her.
Soon after, she came out, groaning. She wasn't happy, not at all. "We didn't..? Right?" She asked. And once she did, she never had to ask that before.. That felt weird to her. She is usually the one who knows if they did or not. She was trying to figure out what happened last night.

Nate sat up straight with a groan and looking up at Mai. The light too bothered him, but it couldn't be helped. "No, we didn't. We... we just made out." This wasn't his proudest moment, but last night he was week. It had been over a year since he had been with a woman and, well as a man he had needs. However, in his defense, she too was really into it last night. She was the one who started it all anyways! "Don't over think it. We were both weak last night. Sorry about it." he stood up and walked towards the kitchen to start making himself some coffee. He's felt guilty because he did feel the urge to have sex, but lucky for him, he did manage to control himself. [OOC: Awesome. The one here in Cal or the one in Florida? ]

Nick sighed and pretended that it was nothing so it would make things easier for Mai and himself too. "Just forget it. Alcohol messes with us and I was weak. I'm sorry..." he sighed and grabbed some fruit from the fridge and began slicing it. "It's my fault. I...I guess I missed a woman's touch. I'm truly sorry." He was really embarrassed too. This was so unlike him! He wanted to make it up to her! "Is there any chance you can take today off?" he asked. Today, he wanted to compensate her for his passion of last night. Even if they didn't have sex, they did have a passionate night in a way. Knowing Nick, he wouldn't take a no for an answer now that he wants to make it up to her. So there was no running away from this. [OOC: Sorry I didn't reply before gonk And cool 3nodding I live in San Diego so I go to the one in L.A. xd ]

Mai looked at him oddly. Why was he so sorry? Mai was at fault.. She shouldn't have done that at all. She gave up when he pulled out fruit and he began cutting it. Mai watched him with hungry eyes. And when he asked about her taking the day off, Mai shook her head. "I was late yesterday and I promised the people to see me today.. It wont take long however." She told him sweetly. "I-I mean, if you want.. You can stay there so I won't talk to them so much.." She told him. Mai didn't just work at a photography place, she owned it. And it was doing great. She chose to stay in a large loft because it was more comfy that way. She also has a lot of wall space so she can hang up art that she finds everywhere. In her loft, there hangs a giant photo of Lily by the ocean that the family stayed at years ago. Mai ate some fruit that he cut it up and giggled to herself. She eyed the time once more. "Oh crap!" She squealed. She stole one more piece. She stopped and stood on her tippy toes to kiss him goodbye but realized what she was doing and panicked once more. She shook her head, walking away. "A-are you coming or not? I have twenty minutes to get there, Nicky."[its okay! i was more worried about you than anything. v.v ah, i see. i didn't know that they had one in LA. welp. i rode the new transformer ride. it was so great c: ]

Nick didn't even flinch or move when Mai approached him and kissed him to say goodbye. It was just... awkward. He sighed and nodded to Mai. "You're being a nuisance, you know that?" he said with a sigh and only teasingly of course. He quickly went to his room and at least changed shirts before getting back ready to go. "Now we can go." he told her as he placed his hands on hips coat's pockets and held open the door for Mai to exit the house. There seem to be some sort of attraction between them two, but nothing to strong for them to act on it. At least not yet... [OOC: Well, it's on Hollywood but you get it xD ]

Mai blew him a raspberry. "But, I'm a cool nuisance!" She wasn't having any of his crap today. Mai then laughed at herself. She waited for him to change, which didn't take long. He held the door open for her as she exited. Figuring that she was the one who was driving, and since her car is still there, she ought to take her little hatchback car for a ride.
In the car, they had small talk. It was the normal thing they used to do. It wasn't filled awkward silences..or anything. Mai tried not to think about last night or anything. There was nothing between them. There can't be! Mai believes that'll be an insult to her sister. Mai sighed to herself then served up a smile when she opened her shop's doors.
The day went by real quick. People saw Nickolas in the lobby and wondered who he was to her. Mai didn't go into much detail, she just said that he was a family friend. They exchange looks with whomever they were with and allowed Mai to resume her work. Mai was done everything - the photos, the filing, the mailing, the schedule, everything - by the time it was nearly four. Mai wanted to sleep. She had headaches throughout the day. She needed aspirin. Before the duo left, Mai searched her desk for aspirin pills. Once she found them, she took them dry. She made a face. They weren't exactly the delicacy she wanted, but hopefully they'll do a good job.
Once in her car, she remembered that she had to eat or else her tummy would be in so much pain. She cursed as she turned to Nick. "Wanna go out for lunch? On me? Because I made you stay there for so long.. Sorry about that. I forgot how much paperwork I had.." She told him apologetically.[ooc: oh welp. is it cool? is it like the one here? i've never been to cali.. i want to go one day. .3.]

"It's fine. It's on me. For last night. I'm not taking 'no' for an answer." he said looking at her with a small smile. For once, he looked slightly more relaxed. The events from last night had helped him to loosen up a bit and well, seduction was always a good method of relaxation. That's also one of the reasons he missed sex. "Where do you want to go?" Money didn't matter since he was quite wealthy.

Mai sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine." She said, exasperatedly. Mai giggled. She felt as if the air with them was cleared...some what. Mai was happy that it wasn't so awkward. While she was driving, she shrugged. "I dunno.. I mean, I was steak.. But.." She wasn't sure how heavy food was going to affect her right now. The buzz wore off.. But, Mai never stayed up passed noon while she was hungover. "..You choose.." She said, quietly. Mai bit her lip. She got an idea. "Wait! No!" She told him. She swerved her car to take an immediate right turn when she went down a street. "Kai Zan! We can go there.. I've always wanted to go there." She told him happily.

After lunch and a few walk around the main streets in the city, Mai and Nick headed back to his apartment. Suddenly it had become like their point of reunion. They were both seated on the big couch on the living room resting a while. Those thoughts and memories of last night came to mind, but they weren't being as bad memories. In reality, they were bringing happiness in a way it shouldn't. It was pleasurable...

Mai and Nick ate their meal and decided that they don't wanna go home just yet and walked in the neighborhood for a bit. Him and Mai had small talk and laughed and joked. It was fun, actually. She hasn't gotten much time to spend with him between her job, his job, and him mourning after Lily. Mai only pestered him because of her dad. And sooner than Mai realized, they were back at his place. Mai hasn't been home in a while.. She wonders if people think she was dead.. Mai hoped not. Mai sat on the couch with Nick besides her. Mai saw an opportunity and took it. She laid her head on his lap. Memories of last paraded in her brain, once more. Her face was once again all flustered. "Do you.." She started but closed her eyes and muttered, "Forget it.." She turned to face him as she opened her eyes. "Do you remember how it felt last night?"

Nick felt slightly nervous having Mai rest on his laps while he had all those pleasurable memories in his mind. Apparently, Mai was having those thoughts too, or why else would she ask something like that, and right now... Slightly embarrassed and uneasy, Nick nodded. "I... Yes..." That touch... a woman's touch... he missed and longed for it so much and so badly. Mai's touch... he had it yesterday and honestly, it was great even for just a little teasing.

Mai bit her lip once more. She felt awkward. She can't be doing this. She can't.. She's..crazy for this. Mai raised her arm to touch his face lightly. She could hear her sister's words playing in her mind, "I love him so much, Mai.. I don't think I can ever forget him." Mai winced at that. She lowered her arm. Lily's words still replayed in her mind, "Mai.. You have to promise me.. If anything happens to me.. He won't forget me." Mai closed her eyes tightly. She didn't want to break that promise. It should be easy.. It shouldn't be a question of faith. Mai should just go home and forget about Nick and let him wallow in self pity.. But, Mai knew that wasn't the life she wanted him to lead. Mai was quiet for a while when he answered her. Of course he knows.. Mai knows for sure that he hasn't been doing much of anything but to remember her.. Lily.. How could I let him live like this? She asked herself, hoping just hoping that Lily's memories would help out. But, nothing surfaced.
"We..we..we could just do it for fun.." She said. "Like.. We could do it whenever we feel like. No strings attached, no loose ends.. Just pure sex and..." She shook her head before sitting right back up. This was crazy! "I mean.. I don't know, Nick.. I just want something that has meaning behind it.. Not someone who I just hook up and leave in the middle of night.. I want.." What does she want? This was crazy. Pure insanity.

It was as if all this time that Mai was talking, Nick was listening to Lily's voice, laugh, love... He heard her say in his mind, "I will always love you." and "Together 'till the end a no one else." or the worst of all, "I want you to take care of Mai if something were to happen to me. Like a sister." Those words... Those words were killing him! Mai was younger than him and worse than that, she was the sister of his dead fiance! How could he be having this unpure thoughts of having sex with her?! Sure, she was kind, beautiful, and spicy, and she had helped him through a lot, but... she was the sister of his beloved one nonetheless... "Mai... I could never... I mean,... I'm not saying I don't want to, but..." Before he realized it, he already had one hand on her shoulder and touching her smooth skin gently. Both of them were getting closer to each other before noticing it. The attraction was big and their lust for one another even bigger. "It's better than with a stranger..." those words echoed...
