Minerva choked weakly, and her husband William walked over to embrace her. However, they seemed to be the only two there - Elsie was (suspiciously?) absent.
"I came in to check on her, and she was...blood everywhere...so I went to hold her and I...blood...so much blood..." Minerva was shaking badly.
"If you'll excuse us, my wife is very fragile..." William said, carefully guiding her out of the room.

Sunday Afternoon:
Elsie Brockschmidt has finally turned up – in the gardening shed, stabbed to death, likely with the bloody pruning shears found just outside the door. She was discovered by Minerva Logan, who appears to have fainted dead away.

Marlin frowned as he took in the scene, with Elsie's death that meant that five of the eight people that had been around the dinner table were now dead. The deaths had also been in a variety of ways, initially by poisoning it seemed, but then increasingly more violent as the weekend progressed. At this point there was only Lillie's parents and Joseph Hall left. A thought occured to him, Minerva was here and it looked like she'd been the one to find Elsie's body so just where were Joseph and William. ----------------------------------------------- The absent Elsie had turned up in the gardening shed. Arian frowned slightly - he'd come across the gardening shed when he'd ended up walking around the grounds on Saturday afternoon after he'd failed to find any clues in the kitchen. Elsie hadn't struck him as the gardening type though. He gave Minerva an anxious look as he walked over to the prone woman, taking in the bloody pruning shears that appeared to be the murder weapon. "Mrs Logan can you hear me?" he asked quietly feeling awkward as he spoke to her. He remembered her husband had said something about her being fragile this morning so mayhaps it wasn't a good idea for her to stay here.

Two deaths within half a day with only three out of the initial eight people they had started the weekend with remaining. Someone sure must have been busy.
Hafwen could only frown to herself at that, opting to inspect the gardening shed and its immediate surroundings first before the bloodied pruning shears itself while Arian was attending to the unconscious Minerva. If only they had more clues than what they had to work with by far, for the way she saw it at the moment any of the three remaining could easily be the suspect and she really hated to lose even if this all was meant to be a game with no real consequences at the end of the day.

Minerva stirred slowly, and as she did, she wailed loudly. Her clothes were still covered in Alice's blood - she hadn't changed or even tried to clean up.
The sun was setting in the background, reflecting off the fishpond in radiant color and coloring the blood strangely.
"Why? Why are they all dying..." Minerva whimpered faintly. "All of them..."

Sunday Evening/Monday Morning:
Extremely early in the morning, loud shouts can be heard in the garden – and then they suddenly stop.
A quick run may well interrupt a murder in progress – go, go go!

Marlin had been up trying to puzzle things over when he heard the shouts, namely Minerva Logan. The fact that the older woman had still been covered in blood when she had been discovered by the gardening shed on Sunday afternoon had been nagging at him. Then there had been the question of where Joseph Hall and William Logan had gotten to. At the sound of the shouts coming from what seemed like the garden, Marlin hadn't thought too much, instead getting up from where he'd been sitting on his bed and heading in the direction of the garden as fast as he could.

Laying unconscious by the fishpond is Joseph Hall, and a wooden bat nearby stained with blood shows how it happened. It appeared Hall’s killer intended to dunk his face into the pond and let him drown, but the timely interruption saved his life!
There may still be time to catch the killer!

Marlin hadn't been able to work out where Joseph Hall had gotten to on Sunday, but it was something he was able to answer now as he stumbled across the man lying unconscious by the fish pond. He took in the bloody bat and the fact that Joseph Hall was still alive while looking around for anything that looked out of place - crushed greenery and the like - to give him an idea of what direction to try and head in. Hopefully the fact that Joseph was still breathing meant that the killer wasn't that far ahead, although it occurred to him that it also meant that the killer had to be one of Lillie's parents - they were literally the only two left.

Darren had been slow to rouse, but the shouting had gotten him awake and aware enough to quickly don his shoes and dart down the stairs and outside, he was behind Marlin by a fair piece, but kept up the pace anyway, hoping that maybe they would find out who had been doing this. His money was on Minerva, but - her husband could be playing the role of murderer to preserve the family honor. It was hard to tell. Arriving at the scene with Joseph Hall, he frowns, nodding to Marlin for a moment before also trying to spot where the would be killer would have gone. He'd dart off in that direction at the first sign of a clue.

There was a crushed path of grass leading back to the house, or so it appeared. The footsteps seemed oddly tiny, as much as could be told in the grass and the mud. Since the yard wasn't well-tended, a recent path was clear - and so were the blood drops following it!

"I think whoever it was went that way" Marlin told Darren as he spotted what looked like a trail across the grass and mud, before dashing off in the direction that it appeared to be heading as fast as he could. Marlin didn't stop to see if Darren was following after him knowing that Mr Hall's would be murderer had a head start on them and he would have to be fast if was was going to try and catch them. He had his suspicions about which of the two remaining Logans was the killer though although he was still trying to work out the why behind it all.

Darren nodded to Marlin and decided to follow after the other male - not wanting to be left behind, not when the game was afoot. Though he wondered for a moment... if the footsteps were so small... Could it really be one of the two they knew still lived?

The trail turned towards the house, and then seemed to...disappear into the wall? No one has demonstrated that ability...perhaps there's something else going on!

Darren frowned when they ran smack into the wall, so he began to look around the wall and the area around it - just to see if he could discover any sort of potential ingress into the house via a secret passage. Barring that, the only other option would be the murders were being conducted by a ghost or spirit. Which didn't bode too well with Darren. Frowning, he hoped he hadn't been sleeping in a haunted house for the past couple of nights... Turning to Marlin he chuckled weakly. "I'm not the only one seeing the impossible here... right?"
