Seyla watched carefully, suddenly shocked by the mass of light that filled the cave. Gritting her teeth she actually growled at him. He was such a wimp.
"Are you really that insecure that you have to see to fight! Put you're stupid night light out and lets fight in the dark like big kids!" She barked sharply. The fact that he lit up the caves insulted her. She could have very well done the same but didn't he understand the thrill one got from fighting in the dark? It heightened your senses, lit a fire in your heart. There was this adrenaline rush that came from nothing else. Your blood pumped rapidly, you could hear your heart beating in your ears. Everything was just so...amazing when fighting in the dark.
She watched him carefully now as his arms crossed into an X over his chest. idiot! Thats the most cliche thing I've ever seen, is he trying to look like a fool? she screamed in her mind. Outwardly she smirked with this playful look in her eyes, almost like flames dancing during nighttime. She knew not to take him too seriously at first, especially when her eyes betrayed her, making it impossible to trace his movements. But that didn't mean her ears didn't work. Closing her eyes she listened for the faint sounds that indicated movement. She had learned how to use her ears like this in the last battle, when she was in the dark like she was supposed to be. He was trying to psych her out.
Still she listened, not opening her eyes until the sounds changed. She heard a sudden change in the wind currents, and felt a great heat coming her way. She opened her eyes to see a cyclone of flame racing towards her. can't get me like that Yusake she thought to herself and then quickly jumped out of the flame's path.
As she jumped she created two flames in her hands, both of them large balls of a blazing blue color. One of the hottest flames known to man. She sprung off of one of the rock walls, lunging straight for Yusake, waiting as long as she could before she released the two flames. At the last minute she released the two flames, at the same time sending a kick towards his chest. Hopefully both attacks would hit. But even if neither of them did, that was only the beginning. After all, Yusake was arrogant enough that she'd release her phoenix anyway, even after the events of the last battle.

Yusake didn't hold his hand out for very long after launching the wave of force. Rather, he pulled it back and began immediately charging again so that he may perform another, similar attack as a follow up. It was unfortunate though, that she moved out of the way when she did. He saw her moving as the streams of light brightened the area in front of him. There wasn't exactly much he could do about her avoiding, so instead he readied himself in the direction she jumped. It was more then just the steadily forming light or trusting his eyes, but the fact that he could feel her, sense that she was near. In the extremely brief moment he had to react, a realization hit him. It wasn't something which distracted him, more of a thoughtless thought, a feeling of realizing something without even dwelling on the subject in question. His body...he realized his body was cooler...colder actually. And this brought the thought of his last fight, the touch of the moist air and water against the metal on his body. He remembered how much heat he felt from his own metallic body parts whenever he used his energy, his power.
But that heat wasn't as dramatic now as it was then, or any other time before. Rather, there was a cooler feeling over the metal, where as by now he would already feel himself sweat, even in the slightest. This was also a part of the reason he knew the woman's position, as he almost felt as if the air around him shifted in temperature. While these thoughts were gathering in his mind, he...he acted. He didn't think of what he was doing, nor did he even really think about the words he said, he only acted. His metal arm pulled bath, gathering in the white energy, which began to brighten the immediate air around his arm. The open compartments of his arm gathered in the surrounding air and pressure began to build. "It's not like I have a CHOICE!" he spoke throughout the course of actions, from turning toward Seyla to the thrusting of his fist. It timed almost too exact even, the fist coming straight into the air and exploding as she neared him.
The effect was not very different then the first attack, only in a much closer ranged type of scale. The open compartments closed in, pushing the air outward from the front, creating the same burst of force. It exploded in front of Yusake, sending curved, thread like waves of white flame out in many directions. Just like with the wave, the force would make for a very heavy impact, and there wasn't exactly room to dodge while leaping at him. Not only that, but the heavy force would smother her own flames against her hand before they had the chance to leave them. As for the waves of his white flame, they would have the same blade affect in various parts of her body, though the exacat damage not even Yusake could know, as like most explosions, it was quite random. The basic affect though, was to throw her back, and hard, so that she would collide with either the stone she jumped off of or another solid surface. Should the attack hit her, Yusake would stand for a few moments and well...take in what had just happened, as if instinct took over what common sense he pretty much didn't have. But he was right about one thing, what could he do? His power naturally gave off bright light, which was both a bane and a helpful trait in this fight.

Seyla gritted her teeth. How had he dodged that! She was only inches away with him! Either he was fast, or incredibly powerful...or even both maybe. No wonder why Ai didn't make it past this round. A shame too a fire and ice match would have been very interesting. So he could dodge her flames, just like Darius, and she couldn't even get close to him for any hand to hand combat! Maybe that phoenix would be making a second appearance after all.
Suddenly her eyes widened, there was now time to dodge Yusake's attack as she was thrown back against one of the rock walls with an incredible force. She let out a loud cry, a sharp edge of one of the rocks puncturing a wound in her back. great...now I need bandages there too...by the end of this I really will be a mummy She tried to get up, only to let out another shrill cry. How had she not seen that coming? It was so fast...and so powerful! Seyla bit her lip, not caring if she bit right through it, not like she wasn't bleeding enough already. She'd really have to turn up the heat for this one.
Slowly she managed to get up, rubbing her back tenderly from the recent impace. Come on Seyla! You've gotta get through this! For Kurai! she told herself in her mind. It was a mantra of sorts, as the more she said it over and over in her head, the more empowered she felt. Yeah she'd take this guy out! No problem! For Kurai!
"Hey, little boy why don't you turn out the lights and play. Or are you afraid of the dark?" she taunted from where she stood. To be honest the whole thing where the cavern was lit up was bothering her. She felt like she was cheating the arena. They drew the cave of Ruks, therefore they should fight in the cave of Ruks, no matter how dark it was. After all when she fought in the abyss last round she could have very well lit the whole arena. But did she? No. Why? Takes away that adrenaline rush, and adds a whole new element to the fight.
She wouldn't wait for his answer and Seyla quickly dashed towards him, there was nothing fancy about her moves- there never needed to be. After all what was the difference if you added a spin or a twirl to your attack? Made you look like a ballerina on steroids really. So she kept it simple and clean, as all of those extra lights and effects increased the odds of failing to execute the attack in the first place. For a human, Seyla was fairly nimble and agile. Her size gave her a great advantage when fighting people like this. She could easily dodge and evade attacks, and then proceed with a quick, but effective counter. This time she flipped over his head, making sure not to create her flames until she was mid air. This was a move she had used on Darius in the first round. When she landed she quickly threw the flames into his back. Their blue color causing sweat to drip down her forehead and the light in the room to turn a blue hint. There was no way if he could dodge this. He was only probably 2 or 3 inches away, and she was behind him. If he could, well then he was a god, and not anyone human for a long run.

The first thing Yusake would do was to prepare himself after Seyla was knocked back. Again, the compartments along his arm separated and opened, gathering in the air around that arm. The faint, white aura of of his power followed, gathering into the center point of his hand. She called out to him, taunted him even. Yusake's right eye twitched at it, but he said nothing...he was surprisingly quiet now. By this point, his right hand was raised sideways in front of his chest. His left was at his side, both fists clenched as he waited. Then came the footsteps, the sound of her running straight for him. He pulled his metal arm back steadily, awaiting her to come at him. And then he realized...that feeling again. It was the cool sensation from the metal on his body, the feeling he could not explain. As Yusake began to feel the cooling sensation from the metal of his body, he then began to feel the senation of the cool air around him, and how it began to feel disturbed from the movement coming toward him.
He held his breath back as the moment in time seemed to slow for him. His heart beat quickened as he focused harder on both the feeling he began to take in, the sound of the woman's footsteps, and the sense of the energy she exerted. A very brief moment of confusion came over Yusake as he began to wonder what these recent feelings were, although he had for a long time been able to feel the presence of other's own energy, never before had he been able to notice simple changes in the air from cool to warm, nor was it often he would take to focusing so hard on anything. True, he did go into a kind of focus when fighting, brought on by determination and just a sudden, natural feeling which came over him...but this was somehow different. He couldn't help but notice these slight changes around him, had learning actually paid off? Or was there something else that caused this difference in him. It wasn't something readily noticeable in the fight with Ai...no, not when he was fighting more directly, which was usual for him.
With as much as he could hear her movement, he could also recognize the kind of movement. She was running straight, plain and simple...had she been running in a circle, or closing in on him in a pattern, the difference in sound would have been noticed. But, the sound of her running was very direct, growing louder as she came closer, not unlike a few people he's had to run from or hide from early in life. Then came that slightly harder push of the foot when she leaped off the ground. Still, he felt her presence, though much nearer. But, trusting his own feelings, he didn't act just yet...until the flame. His eyes widened as the glow of her flame appeared just above him. Yusake shot his head up to see it moving over him. He followed it, not with his eyes, but his fist. The glow within his fist brightened for a moment before he punched straight, where Seyla would have very well landed.
The punch was sent for the point of her landing, and as it neared, Seyla's body could be seen. This would be the same type of attack as before, a fist moving straight, and the compartments of his arm closing to release the loud burst of an explosion. With it came the streaming threads of white flame that exploded outward, along with the heavily pressured force. But unlike the last time, Seyla was landing right in front of it, inches away. Being so close, the punch itself could hit her, and cobbled with the exploding kinetic force, could either rip a hole through her body, or tear her apart. If she even had the time, when landing, to throw her fireballs they would be dispersed much the same was as before, as Yusake was able to see where she would be and attack her accordingly.

Standing in the crowd watching over the fight was a certain, brown haired young man. Dark blue trenchcoat with a thousand pockets on the front, thin and cylinger shaped and a few large and square ones. Memory would serve they held the cigarettes and lighters he used as weapons. A new addition was the holes on the back that let his large, black wings poke through without hindermen.Next was a black long sleeved shirt that fit him tightly, a pair of dark blue gloves and a pair of black jeans, more of those pockets adorning it and two pockets for his hands. Last and not least was a pair of black and white sneakers, seemingly with no laces.
He simply stepped from the crowd and looked over the side of the rails, his eyes glues to the dueling pair. A pair of thin, black framed glasses cover his silver eyes, though they seem more gray now. He watches for a nice time, then grins softly and lifts his hand to his mouth, then shouts "Kick er' a**, Yusake!" loudly, before chuckling to himself and leaning forward to lazily watch the fight progress. He's never been a huge fan of Yusakes, or friends for that matter, but he was rooting for the person he knew over the one he didn't. That, and if Yusake lost he'd be -impossible- to deal with for the next couple of days.

"Geehya!" was Yusake's first response when the flame jumped out. No sooner had his attack thrown Seyla back had he dared to charge forward to follow it up, even with the collision of their attacks he pushed forward to make a rush. But no sooner had he done so did the flames throw themselves into the air, causing Yusake to jump back. He stumbled, fumbled, and ended up running backward until falling onto his rump. The moment he did... "GAH! AH! Aga fugga...gah...urr..." ...he sat on a pointed rock. It's probably a damn good thing Seyla couldn't really see him through the dark, but heaven help him...the audience definitely could. They would see him gently rubbing his backside with his flesh and blood left hand, eye twitching. "Ack...eh, really? Well no sh#t...keep your crap under control will ya...ow..." he was still rubbing for a few minutes more. But, in time, he would be ready, then shake his head quickly. "Ha! Whatever! Try to control things, will ya? We got a fight to finish and I know you're not even near done!" he thrust his metal arm downward, his shoulder facing toward Seyla, a common stance for him to take.
He was still grinning, because he knew the fight wasn't over and hell, it wasn't over until it was over! "So come on already!" the metal arm lifted upward, bending. He held his forearm about up tot he level of his mouth, palm facing forward to face Seyla. The fingers, from pinky to thumb, bent into his hand and seemed to lock shut. At tha moment, five compartments around the forearm opened and lifted upwart from the arm, releasing a hissing sound. "Hell, I came here for a fight, so get up and lets do it already!" he said, as if not even considering the first few moments of the match! After his brazen words, the openings around his arm began to draw in air just as they had so many times before. Only this time, there was no light, no brightening from the arm to show he was drawing from his own power, which meant there wasn't the bright light to follow. And...little did Seyla know, Yusake's own thoughts were running through his head... "Damn it, stupid pointy rock crap better not happen again or I'll kick this cave's a**!" ...in all its complexity too.

Standing in the crowd was Siren with her extremely long purple hair that curved round her figure which was covered from head to foot in black clothing. She even wore a mask with an odd symbol stitched onto it, the same as her forehead symbol. The only to be seen was her face and neck and small slither of skin that was shown were her boots stopped and her dress started. She was of course standing at the front resting her arms on the fence as she listened to the battle intently, listening for every movement, every breath and feeling for every vibration from the match, and seeing as it was a rather large match it wasn't too hard to determine things, especially after she could hear Yusakes voice shouting out from the arena. It made her chuckle slightly, although she was not on the best of terms with him, at least his yelling was a sign that he was not dead or seriously injured. It was the last thing she wished for. Pulling her lighter of her glove she flicked it open and started to play with the small flames as she crossed her long slender legs behind her. It had been quite q while since she left home and she no longer worried about the things he used to. It was why she was here now supporting rather than hating and learning with each new experience. She herself may not be fighting but she could still learn from this and so from the crowds came her voice loud and clear. "You can do it Yusake. Its not in you to loose!"

Seyla didn't seem to have very many fans. She smirked. She'd have to apologize to them all when she beat the crap out of their friend. They'd probably be sad, some maybe even mad, but they'd get over it. She could hear some cursing coming from the other side of the cave. It seemed that her move hurt Yusake as well.
"Good" she said to herself. It was about time she got a hit in. But she couldn't do the same thing all day, otherwise she'd pass out before he would- having already taken more damage. His cursing continued as her flame extinguished, leaving the cave dark, and black just the way she wanted it to be. She could use this to her advantage. Her eyes, she closed them once more and listened. She had to trust her ears.
He had gotten up, and his cursing had calmed down. It was then that Seyla heard his fighting words. She got into a defensive stance, ready to take anything. Her eyes still remained closed, listening for more movement. But he didn't seem to be coming forward...rather he was waiting for her. Seyla's first thought was to charge him but then she thought for a moment. He was waiting, which meant he probably had something to counter. If she threw some flames, she could get rid of that defense.
She hadn't done this in a long time, but Seyla summoned two flames, the same heat as one of her electric blue ones, except she used her power to color them black, so that they'd be camoflaged. Grinning she threw them towards Yusake's direction. She summoned two more, just like the last two, and threw them as well, and then another two, and another two, until she had thrown at least 14 or 16 of them towards Yusake. Sweat poured down her body, and it was incredibly hard not to make any cries from the strength she exerted.

Yusake was nearly ready, or what he thought would be readiness for his next attack. His arm was drawing in more of the air every second, extended slightly further out as he waited for her next assault. But he had not expected was the sudden heat that struck against his metal arm, which was fortunately raised over his face and near his chest. As soon as the fireball hit, another one, then another one hit against the metal of hi arm, and his shoulder. He turned slightly, stumbling back quickly before suddenly losing his balance and shouting at as he fell back. "Gah! was really all that could be heard as he fell back. Fortunate was he, though, that several of the black fireballs hit his arm, as instead of being burned or melted to death, he only felt the extreme heat of the metal on his body. Why? Because he was still absorbing air into the arm at the time, and once the flames hit the arm and dispersed, the residue from them was absorbed into the arm, which closed back up. It was a bit too much at first, so much that he didn't even known the darkened, singed flesh of his lower right side just around and slightly above where the metal plate on his abdomen was, and another just below his under arm.
He rolled quickly to the side after falling though, trying to ignore the pain. His eyes were narrowed at the direction she was most likely in. "Brargh...is that it?! That's your big stuff? Ha..." he moved his hands along either elbow, moving both arms in front of his stomach. His eyes softly closed, and even with the burning heat that was now within his body, only slightly settling over time, he would manage to hold some amount of concentration. "I wanna see you fight me, not sneak around with little taps on the shoulder..." at first only his arm began to resonate a low, white aura. But soon enough, the aura spread over both arms, and steadily moved over to the metal covering his shoulder bones. "So if you're not gonna come out, I'm just gonna have to find you."

Yusake's cries filled the air. "Lovely" she said to herself so she had hit him, of course she had hit him! She'd only thrown 14 of those black fireballs! This fight would end quickly at this rate. After all if she bombarded him continously with a lot of her fire attacks she could overwhelm him and get this over with. She was about ready to charge up some more of that black fire when he started taunting her.
Brargh...is that it?! That's your big stuff? Ha..." "I wanna see you fight me, not sneak around with little taps on the shoulder..." She growled under her breath. She had hoped to make this easy on him, as she wasn't looking foward to tapping into the power that her glove held again. But now he was just asking to get killed.
"Alright you want something?! I'll show you something!" She cried loudly. Suddenly her body was surrounded by flames, the whole cave lighting up. The changing colors of the flames about her reflected on the cavern walls in brilliant and beautiful patterns. In a way it was its own sort of "northern lights" like you would see up north. She was pumped now, and there was no turning back.
I can summon this and control it I know I can! she told herself in her mind. She looked deep down inside herself searching for that one flame, the right one to pull from within herself. Sweat started to bead down her forehead as the heat began to take its toll. She was panting heavily as she put all of her energy towards summoning this one creature of flame. But then an idea struck her. If she could summon a phoenix then why not another creature? What about a tiger? Yes a tiger born from the flames.
Her grin widened as she let out a loud cry, that bounced off the walls, it was a cry of pure pain as she fell to her knees, tears now falling from her eyes but it was all worth it. Through her blurry vision Seyla could see something standing before her. It was just as she had imagined, a tiger of flames. He stood on four strong legs, his size massive, and built for hunting. He was definately a predator. She approached the tiger and his awesome flames of black, red, and orange. He was definately a good match for Yusake. But what should she name him? Arabesque suddenly flashed in her mind. She smiled full well knowing that that would be this tiger's name.
"Go get him Arabesque give him everything you've got! I'll be here for you, I'll be your strength!" she whispered to him in encouragement. The tiger let out a roar of understanding and loyalty.
I knew I could control it! Now I just have to stay conscious this whole time...before he drains too much out of me! Seyla thought to herself.
Arabesque raced towards Yusake, but not like Seyla would, instead his pattern was complex, a constant shift of direction, as if he were running through a thick forest chasing after some sort of prey. His eyes glowed gold, through the darkness that had settled back in the cave after some time. With his teeth of flames bared he pounced at Yusake, ready to take him down.

By now, Yusake had a wide grin on his face while he watched Seyla begin to gather her own power. "Yeah! That's more like it! Come on!" he shouted as loudly as he could at her. The air around him was growing hot, lifting the many loose strands of hair along the side and front of his head upward. Before long, the light within the cavern was a mixture of the bright white emitted by Yusake and the multiple colors coming from Seyla. "Come oooon!!!" he shouted at the top of his lungs. The white glow continued to brighten as it surged over toward his back more quickly. As if from pain, Yusake's body lowered into a kneeling position. His eyes were still as intense as ever as they watched Seyla form a tiger from pure flame. He still smiled though, he was excited by all of this, by the rush of the fight, the heat of the moment, the urgency of the situation. By the time the tiger had begun its charge, a good deal of the building, white flames were around the metal on Yusake's right arm. "Wait..." he thought to himself.
He slowly stood to his feet, holding his arm slightly to his right side. The compartments around the arm began to open and rise, drawing in air quickly just as it had before. Even with the sweat running down his forehead and face, his bared chest, Yusake seemed quite at ease...content even. He looked straight ahead...not at the tiger though, rather he was looking past the tiger, at Seyla. "Wait..." his mind was racing, yelling rather, and still he was rather collected about it. His arm slowly drew back as he awaited the tiger to near. The energy was spiraling into the center of his hand, then flowing around the fist that it formed in a sphere. "Wait!" he was almost yelling at himself in his mind. But with such a broad grin, who could tell what went on in Yusake's head? Then came the tiger, nearing in its slightly crouched posture before the pounce. "Now!" the call of his mind came, then the lifting of his metal arm. "Buster Cannon!" he shouted as he leaped back while thrusting his fist forward.
The compartments all closed at once, and the remaining threads of energy surged straight into his fist before releasing. It wasn't an explosion however, but rather a rapid release of energy. The air in front of his fist immediately distorted, a round sphere like burst of white flames erupting from his hands. It was slightly larger then a basketball, the sphere was. Trailing outside of it was the wave of force that was launched with it, as well as the swirling, thread like strands of energy that spiraled around it. The wave itself was about twice the size of the fireball that soared forward. Actually...a comet may be more precise, as the energy left a trail behind its path, a trail that grew larger as the spiraling energy began to enter the sphere and give it strength, causing it to grow. The tiger was not effected, however, as it was above the shot that was fired. The shot instead flew under it and straight for Seyla's chest. The slight force that it projected around it distorbed the ground slightly, leaving a small trail of dust and cracked pieces of rock to form under and behind it.
Should it collide with Seyla, or anything solid, it would burst in an explosion about the same size as the girl itself. However, the explosion would be more like the explosions of kinetic force from his previous attacks, as the actual energy part was rather small. No, though this could burn into her flesh, cut her body even, it was meant more for its ability to create a direct impact then anything else. She would, like his attacks before, be pushed back hard and probably into the rock wall behind her. Yusake was counting on the possibility that Seyla needed to concentrate a great deal just to keep this tiger, so knew that she would either have to be hit very hard and possibly be knocked out, or forget the tiger and save herself. At the same time, Yusake's own attack effected him, as the kick from his own attack launched him back. That was the reason he jumped back before using it, so that he would be thrown away from the tiger's pounc. He was pushed about thwo meters away before going into a tumbling roll, that sent him about two meters further back. He finally stopped himself by driving his hand into the hard ground below, sliding a short distance in a crouch before stopping. Regardless of what happened next, he would be ready and waiting.
