Vintrict This seems like a cool concept. Nailed it. Considering D&D itself has been around since before the age of video games, yeah, it's cool 3nodding Mine's just the watered down forum version though! Still enjoying it anyways!

Just noticed this. D&D is old but not older then video games and computer games. Anyhow it is a really good ported to gaia

Anyhow it is a really good ported to gaia Maybe I should clarify: D&D is older than what we consider today as the birth of home gaming etc. Because, yes while Pong was released in 1972 and D&D was released in 1974, comparing the two in terms of imagination and plot is laughable. Granted that there were cathode ray games and chess games prior to Pong as well but just as with Pong, the birth of video games is a subject for debate. Anyways, sorry for my lack of posting this week, been pretty sick and just now getting over it.

Well I've only got 3 more days to work and then I'm free until the 27th so that's nice. On the game thing. I'm a developer university student. Well I've got my final exam to finish to get my bachelor so unfortunate game dates all all swooping around in my head XD

Hey guys. Just wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas/Happy holidays/other stuffs/So on so forth. Also want to inform all of you guys (And I'll mail tonash as well) that I'm currently working two jobs, and that the month of January is going to be hectic for my second job. I do catering for the second job, and being part of a Ukrainian restaurant, there is still Ukrainian Christmas to go through. So like I said, it's going to be really busy. Apologies in advance if I'm too wiped/busy to keep up with posting a lot.

It's been awhile since I've visited the guild. I don't honestly know much about D&D (besides it's super cool, I want to play, don't have the first clue where to start, or who to call in the area...) but I have played a bit of Shadow Run (then my boyfriend dumped me and I was kicked from the campaign). You can look forward to receiving a character profile/ application from me in the near future. Unfortunately, the class I want has very limited race options. sweatdrop Sorry in advance!
Quick question in case I'm accepted, the idea of the "action" posts are a bit new to me. Could you better explain to me how/ when to use them when the time comes? E.g.: Action: talks to -insert NPC-

While I do read every post in its entirety, there is always the possibility of misinterpreting something where "Oh, I really meant to do X". It gives the player the opportunity to make their posts with as much flourish as possible while allowing the DM to maintain order easily by reading the last line and understanding the intent of the player. Beyond that, it's a matter of no person can do more than a single action at a time, as explained in the rules. You can't say: "X stole from the shop but when the guards spotted them, X thought quickly and ran through an alley and escaped!" The player must give me or whomever is in control of the environment the opportunity to react to the situation, that's what makes the game fluid and real. Also, we are currently full on players, but our waitlist only has one person ahead of you at the moment, so you're more than welcome to create a profile and I will place your name on the list.

Alrighty! Yeah I understand the concept of auto-hitting. I was more or less just wondering about the first part. Thanks for the clarification! Also, I did realize there is a wait list which is why I figured I'd submit a profile now before it grows! Earlier though it said you were still accepting 1 player(s) so I was a tad thrown off. I see you've fixed that. :3 Hope to be joining you all soon!

We're I'm pretty much waiting for either 1) A sleep skip// extended rest or 2) You two to chat a bit more until Litaria can go to bed and we can get an extended rest.

I had originally intended for all players to be asleep for the rest phase to commence, but I think in the future, that will have to be abolished. So that the entire thread does not freeze if someone is not ready to rest. Just go ahead with a time skip when Litaria goes to sleep. Averah just got there, so she won't really be tired. She will just be wandering a bit. Nothing that really needs to go into detail.
