She wasn't going to look at him yet. She couldn't. Not whilst she was as bright as a firefly in colour. She was so embarrassed and it must of seemed silly to him but she couldn't help it. She felt silly and so out of place by it. She still listened to him and surprisingly listening to him talk helped calm her nerves. She let out a soft sigh, whilst he talked sense to her and slowly came around to feeling relatively normal again. Back to her usual coloration.
She turned her dark blues to him, looking innocent and clueless. "It is ok... You don't need to apologize. Your just being nice and trying to warn me what's out there. You don't want me to get hurt and I appreciate that." She paused offering him a small smile. "It means you care."
That wasn't all she had figured out and she felt bad that she had tried being very uplifting and evasive of some things they were talking about. She just didn't like thinking about bad things or being in a gloomy mood. She wanted him to have fun and feel like himself around her and those were all the things she should have explained to him.
"Of course you can say these things. I'll listen I guess I'm just not good at dealing with negative thoughts and energy. I'm a little mud bug, right? All bright and happy..." Her voice faded off when she said this, looking at him who was now staring across the lake and at the sky again.
"You seem taken by the night sky, what is it that you like most about it?" She asks with a warm smile, still looking at him.

He couldn't help the frown that snuck on his face as she talked. Him care? Bah! She could think what she liked but he believed differently. But he took the change in conversation, afterall he wasn't good with conversation period and happy conversation was really out of his perview.
"I like that while there are slow changes from season to season its a constant cycle. If you have patience you can see it." Looking back to her, thinking that she saw it as a boring reason. Looking out over the water again. "Besides having something beautiful to look on is always a good thing."

Luana thought about the swamp. She saw it as ugly and dull most days, never really having the chance to admire it in the only way it knew how to be, having lived in it her entire life. It had hidden beauty's like Crows garden, here. At the same time it was wonderful on it's own even if she did get annoyed and frustrated with getting stuck in the mud all the time and never being able to remain clean, ever.
She nods at his words, looking to the lake to simply admire it's setting. It was the calm and the peace rolled up in one. With all the family drama and friend of the family visits it was hard to find such a thing to be content with. So now she was taking the time to try see what he saw in it and was figuring out how it charmed him because it was easily charming her as well.
She stretches, pushing her shoulders up and holding them there, then lets them slump down naturally. "It really is." She utters quietly, her eyes dancing across the water with every star line she could see.

He nodded, oddly relaxed as they sat together by the water, not in a rush to fill the silence, just enjoying the quiet. He didn't know what else to say, he had tried warning her about himself, he had tried giving her general warnings. He couldn't seem to get it through to her that he was a danger. But if she wanted to remain then he would let her for now. What else was he going to do?

Luana was laid next to him in the silence for a long time, she didn't know how long for certain just long enough to know that the darkness had swallowed the forest-swamp whole and had walled off the forest with a thick set of shadows. She set her ears back against her head as she looked around at the path they had walked earlier with blistering amount of concern.
She had never ventured away from home this far and had never stayed out this late while exploring. Her mother and father would be worried sick, panicking. She imagined Dae was trying to keep his cool, putting up a front to express that he didn't care but she knew he did and he wouldn't let anything happen to her. At least she hoped he wouldn't willingly get rid of her so easily.
How would she find her way home? What if she really did get lost? She narrowed her eyebrows inwards till they met and got to her hooves, swinging her head around to look down at the stallion. "I didn't realise it had gotten so late! My parents will be worried sick..." She sighed deeply, switching her glance between him and the twisted forest, looking ready to pounce and steal her away for eternity. She frowned, trying to reassure herself she would be all right, she would make it through.
"I'm sorry but I'm going to have to go home now." She smiles weakly at him, through her endless worries, and leans down nuzzling in to his mane. "I'll see you" She pauses. "When you're free, some time? We can meet at the stream again!"

He stood, looking around, sighing softly. "I will see you along the path safely, this area is not good to wander around freely." Looking to her, not sure what to answer, he was usually free but the her wanting to see him again was unusual to him. "You would want that?" Turning towards the path, knowing where it was, his vision used to the darkness of the swamp, leading her carefully along the paths through the hidden perils.

"oh you will!? Thank you!" She cried out happily not giving him the chance to change his mind. She was afraid that something may happen in the forest if she was to wander through on her own, especially with the advice this stallion had been giving her. Before now, she had never really thought too much of the dangers but once the idea had been planted, it was hard to shake.
With a wide grin and a new sense of safety, Luana flicked her tail behind her and trotted casually to his side so she could walk with him, "Of course, why wouldn't I? I thought we could be... Friends and friends see each other frequently, right?" She twisted her head. She had never had a true 'friend' before and she was eager to make him titled as such. She had a lot to get used to, how the whole friend relationship and social structure of it all worked but if it was always as smoothly as today, then it would be a breeze and a whole lot of fun.

Friends? That was a novel thought. He walked along the firm paths, her hooves would get a little wet here and there but other than that there was no sucking mud to pull her hooves in. But finding his paths would be hard without knowing, he had made sure of that, his home, his privacy was protectd by the swamp itself. "I wouldn't know what friends do..." So much for trying to drive her away, he had been honest, he had even been blunt and tried to be scairy. It seemed he was a failure at this, but then he was not full Kalona, maybe her family would manage to achieve what he could not.
"Will you tell your family about me?" Curious what she would tell them, he smirked a little wondering what they would od or say if she told them all of the truth.

Luana was grateful for the steady footing, it beat all that gooey nonsense her midget self kept getting glued in to and there was never an easy way out of that mess. She could tell he was going out of his way for her and for that she was truly thankful, her eyes and her smile portrayed that even though she couldn't tell herself that her expression was an open book.
"That makes two of us." She giggled gently and looked at him with humour. It just furthered the fact they just HAD to be friends. They could learn together! "It's been fun today." She stated softly. "If it's as fun everyday like it was today, then I think were doing something right." She thought that was good logic at least but maybe it just sounded too simple to be right. They could only find out.
Batting her eyelids at his next question in a bit of confusion, she hesitated to reply. She was going to tell her family about him, maybe not Dae at first of course, he would march through the swamp and wouldn't stop to find the stallion that was 'sharing' his patch and she would hate to think what he would do. Her mother would be very understanding even though in her opinion, there was nothing wrong with this Kalona trait he was so worried about and didn't see what the problem was... Really.
"I am going to tell my mother, my sister too." She nodded. "My father is a little stuck in his ways, I would have to inform him in stages." She smiled at the idea and it amused her greatly.

He quirked a brow at that but said nothing, though he might have something to say at this Dae claiming this as his patch given how long Corvus had made this his home, he had grown up here after all, made his home here. He sighed, his thoughts back to his original grumblings that had stopped with meeting the mud bug at his side. "Fathers can be like that." He knew his father had been very set in his ways, Though that was about all he had to say on the matter. Leading the way out to the stream they had met at, at a different point though, a tree having fallen making a basic bridge over the water, though she would probably know her way from here.

Once they breached the tree line and met with the stream once more, Luana felt a little sad. She knew what this meant, that they would have to part ways. That meant a goodbye. She hadn't practised many goodbyes, only friends of the family every so often. Could she do it without making him feel awkward? She should give it a go. She moved till she was in front of him and then spun around to face him with a big, wide smile.
"This must be my stop!" She eyed him. "Thank you so much for accompanying me through the forest Crow. If something hadn't of jumped out of the bushes at me and i'm pretty sure Id of gotten lost anyway without you." It would only be until tomorrow, she told herself mentally.

He inclined his head, stoic as always, not thinking about seeing her tomorrow himself, but then he wasn't inclined to go seeing her out, but he had little doubt that she would turn up again. "You are welcome." Inclining his head again he lingered untill she was across the water before turning and walking back towards the trees and his home. He had an infestation problem he needed to think over and find a solution for.
