Otto groaned. He didn't want to babysit again. He didn't try to hide it at all. "Yeah, fine. Just one mission. I took this Heidi chic along on one too. What's one more." He said with strain in his tone.
"It ain't that hard. Let your weapon help with the little things like slang and race types. And don't go around tellin' people who you are."
The teen huffed again. "I ain't even any good at it, so I'm the last Death Hunter you want helping you. I'd honestly ask someone who's got it all together."

"Naw, you're cool. Even that tip is awesome." Al finally relaxed a bit. "When?"

Otto rubbed his forehead, preparing for the headache he was soon to have. "I'll take you along on tomorrow's run. We'll get you in a standard temporary golem. You can read about them later. I don't wanna have to hold your damn hand through every single detail.""

"Oh yeah!" Al looked excited before holding up his wrist to show the collar-like bracelet before summoning it in the form of a dog-headed stave. "My weapon!" The excited grin was back.

Otto seemed to pale. Nuru was the Halloween kid he'd helped get weaponised. The painfully innocent dog kid... Yeah. Al and Nuru were a match made in heaven, alright. Still.. it was surreal, to see the fruits of labour right in front of him. Surreal... and kind of sickening.
Otto had helped this kid become... that.
"Oh... right. Looks great."

Al hugged his weapon close giddily, "He's awesome isn't he?"

"Yeah. Pretty awesome." Oh God he'd turned some helpless kid into a ******** stick. The blonde swallowed back some regret, giving a low nod. He shouldn't feel bad, after all. He himself was using a former student too.
. . . That didn't help.
Tenya tried to reassure him in his mind, but he wasn't having it. He'd learn to deal with it later. Yeah, later.
"Your weapon is the only reason you'll be able to heal fast and fight hard. You grow as Nuru does and the other way around." Ugh, ********. He was being helpful again. If he kept that up this kid would never leave him alone.
"So yeah. That's it. I'll get ya set up to go on a golem shift but try and do most of it on your own."

Nuru coiled around Al's thoughts with approval, "Tol' ya he was bein' good peoples."
Al nodded at Otto's advice excitedly. He wasn't exactly aware Nuru did those things - or that he could get stronger. "Yes sir!"

Oh mercy, he called him sir.
Otto twitched, unwilling to accept such energetic respect and turned on his heel. "Yeah yeah. Go eat or something..." He grumbled, walking away from Al a little too quickly.

Al was going to have such a huge victory meal to celebrate his very first death mission, he was finally going to see what separated him from the suns, moons, lifes, and mists. Yessss.
"See you tomorrow!" He shouted at the quickly leaving Otto.
