(I wanted to go ahead and mention that I've not posted yet because my turn came just as Cart was going on vacation, but I don't suppose it'd hurt to throw one up. However, in the interest of fairness and match flow, I'd ask that Jacob and Lady X please not make any more posts until Cart had had a chance to come back and post. We still have plenty of time to develop, I'd just like him to enjoy his break and not be stressed with whether the match is going on without him. Thanks, and sorry for not saying something sooner.) Events were unfolding rather quickly around the ring - Cartwright bouncing up from his bruising exit from the ring, only to play sidecar to the dramatic developments unfolding between Jacob and Lady X, just a few feet nearby. Amidst all the chaos, however, the Asylum Champion was left unchecked in the ring with an arsenal of weapons...a situation that was sure to produce painful results. With a sadistic glint in his eye, Salem reached down for the folded-up steel chair, grasping its solid frame in his wrapped grip. Rushing towards the ropes, the rookie showed off his dynamic leaping ability by clearing the ropes with one fluid jump, tucking the chair across his abdomen to try wiping out Cart with a surfboard splash while he was preoccupied.

Cartwright was laughing at the skirt lady getting all upset by a Canadian of all people! It's like so #LOL worthy! Cartwright casually began to swagger back into the ring when....wait a sec? Is it a bird? Is it a plane? Nope, it's a FLYING CHAIR! Salem flies into the air and smashes into Cartwright with so much force that he flies into and over the announcers desk, smashing into Jacob on the way!

Salem's impressive feat of agility had sent him and his opponent onto the announcer's table, Cartwright falling into Jacob while the rookie champion came to a stop atop the desk. Standing up to his feet, Salem took just a moment to grasp the chair and slap it against the heavy wood, instigating even louder cheers from the crowd at the sudden act of aggression. Waiting for Cart and Jacob to pop their heads up, Salem would go to bludgeon the brutes swagfully with a Con-chair-to to each of their craniums in follow-up to his sensational splash.

Cartwright pokes his head up first, takes one look at Salem with the chair in his hands and ducks back down instantly, hiding behind the announcers table like any real man would. What a wimp!

Griffin went spilling out of his chair after Cartwright crashed into him. He was going to have to pay his mate back for dragging him into this match before he was good and ready. That was going to have to wait however as he was busy dodging a chair smash to his head when he was getting up. Now down in the same position as Cartwright to stay out of harms way. He began motioning to his pal to pop up at the same time as him to take Salem out together. Jacob was never good at sign language but he hoped Carty understood what he meant. Jacob popped back up, attempting to grab Salem's leg and rip it as hard as he could. If Cartwright was on the same wave length he would be pulling out the other leg so Salem would crash on to his back.

As Jacob goes to grab Salem's leg, Cartwright points at his head to Griffin as if he is trying to tell him that he has a clever plan in his mighty thick head. He begins to crawl around the table and trying to sneak behind Salem to attack with a clubbing blow to his back while he is distracted by Jacob!

Lady X smiled and cheered with the crowd members that came in support of Salem as he launched himself at the opposing men with the steel chair. X laughed at Griffin and Cartwright as they did a sort of Whack-a-Mole thing popping up and down a few times, scared of the chair wielding champion. This match may or may not go down as a top notch match thus far into it, it was still hard to say, but it could definitely be nominated for one of the funniest. There was just too many antics from all parties unintentionally.
Seeing Griffin grab Salem's leg and Cartwright begin to get the message and go around the table to sneak attack him, Lady X stopped laughing then and glared lightly, emotions switching on a dime. She then went and blocked Cartwright's way to Salem, taking the shot instead.
((Sorry for my minor absence fellas. Was busy with my birthday and starting wrestling school.))

((No probs! Wrestling school sounds awesome!)) The crowd gasps as Lady X takes Salem's shot for him, getting decked in the face by Cartwright's fist! She dropped to the floor as the crowd booed Cartwright for hitting a woman! Cartwright holds his hands up to his face like that wasn't that plan.
Cartwright: "Aaaaaah nuts.....OH WELL! YOLO!"
Yes YOLO. You Only Live Once. Gotta hit a woman at some point while you have the chance right?! Cartwright felt guilt for like maybe a second, as he proceeds to forget about what just happened and goes to strike Salem again.

Salem had miffed his attempts to bust his adversaries in the brains with his steel chair, instead finding his leg tangled up in the clutches of Jacob Griffin from behind the announcer's table! Struggling to turn around, Salem intended to try fending off Cart from his clubbing blow, but was startled at the sight of Lady X throwing herself in harm's way for Salem's sake. It was a touching gesture, one that made Salem snarl as he saw just how far Griffin and Cart were willing to go to strip him of his beloved Asylum Title. This was starting to become a handicap match, almost, the way the contender and commentator were working in tandem to try and bring the rookie wrestler down. Before Cart could go for his follow-up swing, however, Salem would throw the chair up into his face, trying to catch the man by surprise before taking his free leg to try a spinning kick towards the side of Griffin's skull, hoping to fight his way back into the match.

Cartwright didn't expect such sudden movement out of Salem following what had just gone down! The chair goes flying flat into Cartwright's face! He blow causes him to stagger backwards groggily and lean against the ring apron as he sees little birdies fly around his head. They are such very pretty birdies. Little fat yellow things.

((Cartwright, I'll be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of your character - in the sense he's a very good heel and I fall for the gimmick easily. But the way you write the posts is absolutely hilarious sometimes.
And yes, I start wrestling school officially in two days! Wednesday! Yay! I've been guaranteed by the trainers that as a part of intermiadite training in a few short months I'll be a rookie in the Indies series. I'm so excited!))
Lady X was instantly KO'd by Cartwright's punch and fell like a sack of bricks to the floor in between commentary and the ring. Well her body fell...her mind drifted off into Wonderland as the match continued around and a deep, throbbing black blue and purple bruise slowly started forming on the left side of her face.

Griffin's head spun sideways as Salem's boot slammed into it. The canadian fell to his backside, falling limp against the barricade behind the announce table.

Salem had managed to turn the tables with a couple of clever counters, but the damage had been done - Lady X crumpled limply at the feet of the announcers' desk following her intervention on Salem's behalf. For a split-second, Salem appeared conflicted. Glancing between Lady X and the groggy Cartwright, he almost seemed confused as to what he should do, whether tend to his ally or enemy. But, shaking his head slowly, Salem knew that wasting time to help X would only squander the opportunity she was trying to give the freshman champion by taking the hit for him. Thus, with another display of athleticism, Salem would leap clear from the table to the apron, looking to nail the would-be king across the chest with a rib-cracking drop kick!

((Why thank you HeelTurn! It must be such mixed emotions to read! blaugh )) Salem continues to dazzle with his athleticism as he leaps on to and off the announcers table quickly and launches his feet at Cartwright's chest, smacking him hard into the apron!

Salem's stunning dropkick had rattled both Cartwright and the stands as fans roared on in approval. Though the landing onto the padded concrete was a little stiff, Salem took it in stride with an energetic pound of his fists to the mats before getting back up, hurrying himself to prop X up by the table out of harm's way before turning to look into the crowd.
"Come on!" he shouted, waving the fans on to make some noise before moving to turn Cartwright around. If successful, Salem would grab his opponent by the back of the head and thrust his eyes into the bottom rope, attempting to grind them against the cable with a rough, sawing motion.
