Vanrui blinked, her snarls sounding a little muffled due to the flesh between her teeth. But, it didn't take long for the lack of struggling to cause her to pull her head away. She licked up some blood from her maw, eyes flickering down toward the dead creature. She grinned, letting out a soft growl of pleasure at the sight. Her tail flicked, before she leaned down adn sniffed slowly along the creatures form.
"Mmm. I want..." She walked a slow circle around the buck, ears perked up somewhat. What was she going to eat? What was going to be delicious. "Hm. Maybe the flank... I'm in for some well worked meat today." She said, grinning lightly.

 Naberius rumbled his accent, sniffing over his prey. "I'll take the loin, then," he settled on, nodding at her before digging his teeth deep into the flesh of the kill. He didn't mind showing off a bit, ripping up the skin with long, smooth move of his neck; revealing the red, fresh meat underneath. He didn't wait for Vanrui, but he didn't get in her way, either, giving her ample access to the kill and he began to tuck in.

Vanrui watched him for several moments, staring for a second. She blinked, almost admiring how he seemed to rip into the meet. Yes. he was handsom, and easily working over the meat. He was a natural. Flicking her ears, she grinned, before moving forward. the mare dipped her head down, bitting hard into the muscle, before pulling back to rip off the flesh, pulling muscle and fur, before dropping the furry part,a nd started to dig into the actual meat.

Naberius ate until he was full, enjoying having a whole buck at his disposal. It was well into the evening when he finally pulled away, cleaning his chops and paws with long, slow licks. It was well into the night and Naberius felt uncharacteristically...satisfied. He watched his hunting partner; she wasn't hard to look at, looking especially luminous in the starlight. His muscles were pleasantly aching from his hunt, and his stomach was warm and full of fresh killed meat. He got up with a stretch, feeling the cool night around him: a welcome respite from the sticky summer days.
He looked around, his eyes accustoming to the darkness. He snuffled around the forest floor, finding a tree with large, twining roots at its base. A perfect makeshift den indeed. He dug his claws into the dirt, quickly digging out a little divot between the roots, just big enough for himself and perhaps one more. He grinned and circled, setting into the warm earth and laid his chin on the root.

Vanrui continued to eat, her fangs ripping flesh. She was enjoying it; filling her bely without the worry of having to take food back to teh Flock. Every time she began to hunt, it always had to go back; always had to be sent back home so that the foals could eat; they were most important. She could remember being a kid herself, and eating her fill ( much more than her other siblings ). But then she was taller than them. Shifting, she let her eyes flicker somewhat toward hte stallion, watching him as she finished her meal.
he seemed ready to settle. Vanrui looked around, not used to the open air. She had a small den back in the Flock Territory, a home where she had pelts and warmth. Blinking, she moved slowly to the side of the stallion, though didn't lay next to him. instead, she shifted and walked a small circle, before laying down carefully, her head held up somewhat, eyes flickering, ears perked.

Naberius watched her out of the corner of his eye, a smug, amused smile on his face as she rebuffed his subtle invitation. He stretched, letting his wings span outwards, before settling back, tucked away by his side so the red glow of the eyes wouldn't bring any attention.
He closed his eyes, part of him wondering if she would still be there in the morning, or if her desire to run back home out overcome.

Vanrui laid easily for several hours. until the cold finally settled. She frowned, lifting heavy eyelids. She was tired, far too tired for her own good. But home was warm. Home had furs and stallions that would absoultly adore laying beside her. Home had, well, home.
But she wasn't home, and she wasn't going to ditch this soon in the game. Looking around, she tried to find something that would be warmer. But, then again... Her eyes flickered, locking eyes on Naberius. Letting out a soft growl, she shifted, before standing carefully and walked slowly over toward the stallion. She eyed his form for a moment, before slowly lowering herself beside him. At first, Vanrui was confused, uncertain as to if this was comfortable. But, she found sleep coming over her easily, and laid her head down, almost resting against his shoulder, as she fell back asleep.

Instinctually his eyes jetted open at the moment, but as Vanrui settled down next to him, he didn't move save for a small upturn of his chesire grin, and he lifted his wing just enough to more accommodate her form in his little makeshift den. He waited until he could tell by the rhythm of her breathing that she was back asleep before finally letting himself to the same, his wing coming down to lightly fold around her form.
