Kiera nudged Shortstraw. "I think Evelyn breifly told me she was going to be gone all day, although I can't be sure." She chuckled lightly. "She told me as soon as I woke up, so I wasn't really all there as she was talking to me." She smiled. "I'm sure it's nothing to be worried about, though. We'll see her tonight." As they entered the kitchen Mordekai was already in there reading. Kiera laughed a little at him. "Are you always reading, uncle?" Mordekai turned the page. "The mind needs books like a sword needs a whetstone. I'm sure you'd understand Kiera, with all your knowledge." Kiera smiled. "Actually, I haven't read a book in quite some time." Mordekai turned another page. "So that's why your mind is deteriorating." Kiera sighed a little and sat Theodore down. Still Mordekai acted cold to her. She really wished he'd get over that. She only wanted to be warm to him. But he didn't allow it at all.

Shortstraw chukkled, "i'm still writing my book. I hope i'll finish it some day." He chukkled as Lilly turned around and started putting plates on the table, "i'm just getting started so i dont have much yet. What would would you two ying yangs like?" Thats what she called theador and evelin. Theadore jumped up and down, "OOO OOO OOO PANCAKES!~" Lilly nodded and turned to Evelin, "and how about you sweetie?" Meanwhile shortstraw was putting her down in her chair for breakfast. Obviously kyle wasn't up yet.

Evelin blinked. "Pancakes.. too...please." She said quietly as she stared at the table. Kiera looked to her. "Everything all right, honey?" Evelin nodded. "Yes mommy." Mordekai grinned to Lilly. "I get special orders too right? I've practically got the mind of a kid." He snickered as he closed his book and stuffed it into his jacket. "Surely that's grounds for something." Kiera glanced to him. "How old are you, uncle? I mean I know you were with aunt Hikari and Amelie. But neither of them actually told us when they were born." Mordekai scratched his head. "I was born in the year of... 1539.. I think. Amelie and Hikari were both born a year before me." Kiera's eyes glistened. "That's medieval times... You lived in europe I seem to remember Hikari saying.." Mordekai nodded. "We lived in Italy until we found we had the curse placed on us." He smiled, remembering. "I'd like to take Kyle there someday.. it's a really beautiful country." Kiera seemed astonished. "You're over one-thousand years old, uncle. I'm not sure you get grounds for special orders for breakfast." Mordekai pulled a face. "Jeez when you say it like that you make me feel old."

*Lilly laughed, "that does make your our elder." She turned around, "since your a guest of course you get spechal orderes aswell. What can i get you." SHortstraw however looked to mordeki, "i wonder how diffrent things were back then? Surly there has to be alot of things you could teach about the olden days. No disrespect of course but, i have to ask... were there and... demon myths back then?" He chukkled, "two of my ansestors seemed to be alive durrin gyour lifespan, i half wonder if they were known as great people, or if they were never heard of." Lilly meanwhile nodded to Evelin in the background, "would you like some milk too?"

Evelin nodded enthusiastically. "Big glass!" Mordekai looked to Lilly. "Could I have some bacon pretty please?" He looked back to Shortstraw and shrugged a little. "In those times everyone who was a Yokai hid their true forms from everyone else. It was so strict that Yokai wouldn't have been able to tell if another was a Yokai too. The same goes for Demons. It would have made them much trickier to hunt back then because of the small openings in which Demons actually showed themselves." He looked to the side. "And then you had the Yokai that frequently practiced their abilities. They were all... burned. Mostly for the fear of satanism and witchcraft, and humans were scared of that kind of thing. They didn't understand there was a whole other race hiding among them." Kiera tilted her head slightly. "I'm guessing your family hid your Guardian abilities, too." Mordekai nodded. "We had to, to fit in. We didn't want to get burned. It wasn't that hard, my family lived in the countryside anyway, near a large city." He laughed. "Remembering that place seems so distant, now. It's all paved over with concrete and buildings now." Kiera put her head on her hands. "Isn't it upsetting?" He shook his head. "No. I've lived long enough and travelled enough to know how things move on."

Veria slowly came down stairs, "morning everyone~" She kissed theadors forhead, "morning." Theador smiled happily, "morning Aunt Veria." She patted his head, "I'm checkin gin as usarl." Shortstraw shrugged, "everythings all good. Theador showed signs of fire this morning." Veria looked to him as he grinned, "I'm a big boy now!~" Veria giggled, "i susspected that. That means Evelins sure to show signs too. No offence, but keria's geans are primarly passive. So they are the paretn gean over yours shortstraw, meaning her fire abilitys will carry over in some way or form." She giggled and hugged her uncle, "morning Uncle, course i wouldn't forget you~"
Lilly gave evelin a large cup of milk and gave the kids there pancakes before turning to make up some bacon, "heh heh, you and kyle sure do like bacon." She looked back, "it's cute." Shortstraw laghed, " i find it funny ours like pancakes." He nudged keria, "pancakes remember the many things we've done with them?"

Kiera rolled her eyes with a smile. "Isn't it funny kids that I first tried to show your father that I liked him by making pancakes." Evelin stared at her mother. "Made pancakes?" Kiera nodded with a small smile as she remembered. "I was very stubborn back then. I never showed that I liked him up until then, when for a while before that I'd adored him." Evelin's eyes glittered at the thought. She was fascinated with her mother and fathers love. Kiera tilted her head to the side with a sigh. "It seems so long ago now." Mordekai snickered. "And still you're the one who wears the pants in the relationship." Kiera laughed a little. "I have a kingdom and family to take care of. Of course I'll be a little more assertive." Mordekai then smiled to Veira. "Good morning Veira."

*Veria shied, "our father left everything for keria and donte, either one of those to hold the pants to anything around here and always will." Shortstraw grinned, "what can i say, I'm a sucker for pancakes." He chukkled. Meanwihle veria kissed her uncles cheek before spinning, "anyways i need to get back to charrlet and see how she is doing this morning." Lilly handed a plate to veria, "odd handin gyou food." Verai giggled, "i still dont know how you eat this discusting stuff." She disspeared to charrlet to give her breakfast and to check on her. Meanwhile Theador seemed to ignor the showl pancake thing, instead he had his entire hands inthe pancakes as shortstraw finally caught him and glared, "what did i tell you about using a fork?" Theadoer laughed and held up his sticky fingers, "shake my hand shake my hand!"

Kyle then walked into the room rubbing his eye, and Evelin's expression lit up. "Kylie!" Kyle smiled to them all. "Good morning everyone." He glanced to Evelin with a larger smile. "Morning Evelin." Mordekai looked to his son. "I found you passed out in my bed again this morning. Is it bad dreams again?" Kyle looked to his father with a little confusion before nodding. "Oh.. yeah, the dreams. It was that." He said before sitting down with them all, next to Evelin, otherwise he knew she would have insisted or went to sit on his lap. Kiera smiled to Kyle. "Are you feeling any better this morning?" Kyle scratched his neck with a smile. "Yes, much better.. thank you." Kiera nodded. "Glad to hear it." Evelin tugged Kyle's arm after she finished her milk. "Kylie! Play with us today!" Kyle smiled to Evelin. "Of course."

*Theador nodded, "yea" as he put his hands down though he couldn't lift them back off the table as he slowly looked up to his mom with a puzzled face, "ut oh..." his hands were stuck to the table. Shortstraw shied, "see thats why we use forks." Theador frowned, "forks r 4 Mooks!" He stated. Meanwhile lilly chukkled and put two plates of bacon down for kyle and mordikei. "As long as you three stay inside. Where's that crazy demon of yours shortstraw. She's not around much latly." Shortstraw shrugged, "hey she has a life now too i dont need to pester her. I'm not her dad you know. Close, but not her dad." He laughed. Theador frowned more, "HELP!" Now as he used his face to try and pull his hands free his face was also stuck tot he table.

Kiera giggled a little at Theodore. "Have you learned your lesson about eating with knives and forks at the table yet sweetie?" She rose an eyebrow. Evelin pulled a face. "Have to stay inside?" Mordekai nodded as he tucked into his bacon. "I'm afraid so, don't want you wandering off." Evelin scowled at her uncle. "Won't get hurt." Kyle smiled. "Lets not push it, Evelin." He leaned in to whisper in her ear. "I'll take you outside later and we can play out in the snow for a little, okay?" Evelin looked up to Kyle with a grin but nodded and hid her excitement. Kyle smiled. "Our parents know best after all." Evelin nodded as she started to eat her pancakes, delicately with her knife and fork. "Uh-huh." She tried to look experienced with cutlery but she couldn't really get the hang of it yet. Kyle helped her.

*Shortstraw smerked, "i think he should stay there alittle while. He hasn't learned yet." He joked. But theador cryed, "noooo help me... i use fork i use fork!" Shortstraw nodded as he stood up and headed over to theador, "hmmm..." He started to work at unsticking the child from the table and held him up afterwords, "well looks like bath time for you." Theadore frowned, "but i wanna play!" Shortstraw smerked, "not all sticky, then your sister would get sticky and she would be mad if she couldn't play becuse she had to take a bath first. Besides she's being good and using her fork." He looked to keria, "if you want to use that mother instinct now would be the time to go warsh our belovid childs buttix." He add in witha smerk.

Kiera smiled to him patronisingly however her finger was tapping against the table. "But honey, I do believe it's your turn." Her looked turned incriminating. "As I have done the past several bath times with both of them." She smiled sweetly again. "It's only fair." Mordekai blinked and went back to his bacon. "Jeez, lady of the house can be a little scary sometimes." He grinned to Evelin. "Don't let your mothers calm composure fool you, she's a ruthless killer at heart." Evelin stared up at her uncle. "Com..po...sure?" Kiera glanced over to Mordekai. "It doesn't do good to be telling them that I'm cold-hearted." Evelin grinned. "Mommy's kind." Kiera smiled. "You see." Mordekai laughed. "Have you told them of the time when you almost killed your whole family with your anger?" Evelin's eyes widened. "Mommy?" Kiera frowned a little. "Let's not go back to that.." Kyle knew that Kiera didn't really want Evelin around as they discussed that so he looked to her. "Hey Evelin, we should go and get changed." Evelin nodded with a smile. "Yeah!" Evelin took Kyle's hand and she stuck her tongue out at Theodore as they left the room. Yes, she was the good girl. She was allowed to go and play.

*THeador wiggled, "i wanna go too!" Shortstraw shied, "tough nuts." He turned and headed to the bathroom, obviously defeated. he tryed at least. However him and theador ended up soaked as theador kept trying to run out the bathroom and excape naked. Finally he got theador cleaned up, only to find theador running out of the bathroom as fast ashe could to go play. THe bathroom... was a mess. Shortstraw sobbed, "damn. Now i have to clean all this up."

Kyle and Evelin played in the living room as Kiera continued to talk with Mordekai at the table. Not casual enough talk to make Kiera comfortable. She knew Mordekai hated her. Soon Hana came stumbling into the kitchen, rubbing her cheek. "Urgh..." Kiera smiled. "Morning little sister. You've slept most of the morning away." Hana winced. "I thought you were supposed to sleep better in comfier beds." Kiera tilted her head. "You didn't sleep well?" Hana shook her head as she sat down and put her forehead against the table. "Nope." Kyle and Evelin saw their chance however as they slid on their jackets. However Kyle paused as Theodore arrived. Evelin put her hand over Theodore's mouth. "Shhhh." She grinned. "Going outside." Kyle smiled. "You musn't tell anyone. We're not allowed." Kyle nodded as he led them both out of the living room and through the halls of the ground floor. Kyle knew his way all around the castle from the days he used to wander around aimlessly in the mornings. Now Kyle knew all the secret passages. Kyle led them both outside a secret exit and into the snow. He smiled to them both. "Don't stray far from me, otherwise we won't be able to play again." Evelin nodded in her little pink jacket and grabbed Kyle's arm in her equally as pink mittens. "Snow!"
