Yuri's eyes softened when he beheld the woman in her own pitiable state. Then glanced back at Sera as they made their exchanges.
"Name's Yuri, and I'm a friend of Sera's. She was looking pretty down and out so I walked her home."
He then fished the napkin he'd wrote on earlier out of his pocket and offered it to the woman. "If either of you need anything, just give me a call."

Sera had accepted her mother's hand around her arm as a silent gesture to get her inside, and dutifully slid past Yuri and into the interior of the apartment as she was bid. Next to each other, they did indeed look like mother and daughter, especially given their similarly depressed demeanors, though obviously the younger's was more magnified than the elder's. "Thank you for bringing her home," her mother said in grateful tones with an almost permanent hint of sorrow, though she looked mildly confused at the napkin he offered. She took it regardless with a nod, repeating, "Thank you."
The younger brunette attempted to voice the same, but was unable to, so she merely hung her head instead, though not without half-raising her only remaining hand to offer him a small wave good-bye.

He wished he could do more but he knew better than to impose on those that were grieving. Thus Yuri gave them both a warm smile his eyes lingering on the girl a moment longer.
"See you around, Sera."
And with that he turned to go.

While Seraphine would've liked to say more - or anything at all - for some reason, none of the things she wished to say reached her voice. Her wave lingered as he turned, until her mother shut the door.
