He leapt and seized her with surprising speed by the scruff of her neck, his eyes flashing. "Nah naht time fur pleh." he rumbled from deep in his chest. He deposited her gently despite his apparent anger back into his pack before securing the strap tightly.
With her safely out of the way he turned back to the overweight male. "Let me just make one thing clear. You touch her, I break your legs one by one. Understood?" He growled lowly. "Other then that, we shouldn't have a problem.
Jarek had grown not to be to trusting of those he didn't know; especially when he had a pup to look after now. His unusual aggression so outside his normal character was a product of his protective-ness.

Rail jumped back the few steps he had taken closer to the pup. "I'm sorry," he said under his breath. His eyes were wide and full of shock. "It's not possible, it... it looked like.." He shook his head hard "no, that was four years ago, she would be an adult or dead by now."
"There is some canned meat she will be able to eat downstairs I'm sure." He hesitated as he looked at the bag the pup was shuffled into.
Colt squawked in the sky as it circled them. "We need to get inside before we attract attention." He went to the roof door and started pulling on the level and opened the door.

Jarek followed behind, keeping one eye on his guide and the other on the environment around them.
"How did you come to be here?" he asked, attempting to make conversation.
