Mot gasped and held his fully buttoned shirt tight to his chest. "Hel, no! That is so... so.. so..." He flustered, sputtering to find the appropriate word for his befuddlement to the issue.
"I would be sending the wrong message! I don't want her to think I am some self important sex fiend!"

Oh Jack…if only she could tell Mot what she had caught Gene with the other day. Grossmo. He’d dissipate right there on the spot. Ugh. She wanted to tell him so bad, but she had the ghost blackmailed, so that was out.
Instead, she laughed. “Mot…are you even a fraction of a degree like me?” The answer to that was no.

"Of course not." He replied bluntly, terra cotta eyes peeking out from a stringy curtain of black hair.

“Then you would not come across as some self important sex fiend. Duh.” Hel pulled the pieces of paper from the notepad that were for her, and then slid it back to the cowboil. She then leaned, resting her head in a hand and grinned.
“Come on, Mot ~ Give it a try~”

Mot blushed a furious red and seemed to curl into himself. "I could never do something so bold.." He mumbled, praying Hel's meal would hurry on up.

“Hey! You bedded me! That was pretty bold.”
Of course, it was right at that time the waitress came and dropped off their orders.
Awkward ensued…except for Hel who seemed un-bothered as she cheered for her food and pulled her bowl of stew closer and started digging into her bread.

Mot buried his face in his hands, resting his forehead on the table.
No words, Hel.
None.

The waitress skittered off again, and Hel just laughed as she looked over at Mot.
“Well, you did other bold things too, yanno? I mean…you had the balls to know when a relationship needed to end, and then the balls to actually end it.” Even if it could have ended nicer, at least he still did it… ”…I think that is really bold and…” Hel trailed off and her eyes lidded. Actually, saying that just reminded her of the situation she was in now, and Hel sighed, and pushed her bread around in her stew.
“…O-oh, and that one time when you stayed behind…that was bold too…”

It wasn't often when someone told Mot he had balls. Usually it was a lack there of. So Mot had to take some solace in knowing that sometime he could do bold things. He still wasn't sure if that translated to an innocent sext though.
"Stayed behind?" Mot asked, not right away recalling the time she spoke of.

“Y-ya…” She shook her head a bit, as if to clear her mind. “That one time when the students joined with the horsemen to raid the false reapers’ headquarters…to get back Mitsu…you knew you had to stay behind…and it takes courage to do that. Sometimes the best decisions may not always seem like the right ones, ya?”
Hel munched on her bread.

"Oh.." Mot was always ashamed that he hadn't gone and helped them rescue Mitsu. But what could he have done? He'd have been a hindrance.
"Hel?" Mot spoke up, "Is something the matter? Is the stew not to your liking? You seem down."

Hel lightly kicked Mot under the table.
“Hey…get over it.” She didn’t mean it to be rude though. “It is done and over with.” She smiled at him. “Stop beating yourself up over it…eh?” She blinked. “…Oh…Heh…” She dipped her bread in again and swirled it around. “Just the same thing from earlier…that is all.” She replied. “The stew is very good…” She took another bite out of her bread. “Yanno…I can not stand the pain that happens here.” She tapped her chest. “I would rather…have my wings back, just to get them torn off again, and endure that pain all over again, than to…do what I think it is I need to do.”

Mot smiled sheepishly. If there was one thing Mot did a lot, it was dwell on the past. Remembering everything, and never able to let go.
"I see.." The issue with Mac. It seemed Hel was accepting the truth after all. "I may not have had wings ripped off my back, but I can honestly say I understand why you would rather deal with that over heartache."
"Heartache is something intangible. You can't bandage it up, or soothe it with ointment. Which is why a physical injury in comparison is, in a way, easier to deal with." Though perhaps mutilation of a body part was going a little too far.
"But... you know what you need to do? What is better for you both in the end?"

Hel rested her head on her hand and finished her bread before she picked up her spoon. “Ya…” She murmured. “That is it exactly.” Mot hit the nail on the head, and at his questions, Hel was quiet for a bit. “I think…” She finally started. “I think I need to ask him for something…something to let me know that I am not doing this in vain.” She took a bite of her stew.
“It does not need to be big or grand…but something a bit more than what I am receiving now…”

Mot frowned, but gave a nod. "Just as long as you aren't delaying what you feel is inevitable. If you truly feel this will go somewhere... then I wish you all the best."
