Akayan could already feel that this was not going to end well. his first fight was going to be lost, and there was little he could do at this point to stop it. the droid effortlessly deflected his attack, and Akayan fell to the ground. the droid had his number as as he landed, a vertical strike was perfectly timed by the calculating mind of the droid. at the last second, the Jawa rolled for his life between the droid's legs to attempt to even TRY to get some kind of advantage.

M'arek felt the droid roll back in the air and his fist carried it into a horizontal position, flat-lining its silhouette and its combat program. He didn't have time to waste, though. He saw Akayan in a vulnerable position, and M'arek leaped forward, trying nothing more than to defend the blow for his partner. His saber sticking straight out from his body, he drove it forward like a dart, and plunged forward, splitting the air with his charge, deathly silent. I have to stop it. The entire crowd at this point was holding it's breath. If M'arek couldn't stop the strike with his lightsaber he was putting himself in a position to take the hit for the jawa. M'arek caught the droid's saber on his own, and flashed his cocky smirk at the droid.

The rolling of Akayan did nothing for him. in fact, it just made things worse. when he looked up, he saw the droid's saber coming down as if in slow motion. he closed his eyes, bracing for an impact he didn't have any hope of defending against...and then heard the familiar clash of practice sabers. he opened his eyes to see a green light spotlighting him form the blending of the blades' lights. this was as good a time as any. he once more rolled between the legs of the droid, now that its focus had been decisively shifted for the better. he reversed his grip for a rising slash at the droid's spine, as he saw the Droid deflect the block earlier to do an over head slash to attempt to hit both nuisances at once.

M'arek heard the crowd collectively exhale and felt the droid pull away form his saber, slashing overhead to strike the ball of acrobatics that was the Jawa and take the Mirialan at the same time. That wasn't going to happen. M'arek thrust at the droid's chest, trying to step to the side of the droid's slash. Together, they could defeat this thing. It appeared to be the most talented of the droids, to be sure. It was at the very least the luckiest. M'arek felt that things were turning in their favor. Even if the droid had something of an advantage here.. The younglings had to watch their attacks in order to keep from hitting each other. This restriction on top of their normal inexperience made things incredibly difficult.

The thing about the slash was that it was more effective as a block than it was an attack. the blade of his saber allowed akayan's blade to run up it, but it also meant that when he struck, akayan had the perfect defense for it. when he brought his blade down on M'Arek, it was laughably dodged, but the arch in his back allowed the stab to go right over him. using this position to his advantage, he began to swivel on the axis of his waist, arcing his slash diagonally up and to the left at the upstart Mirialan, and bringing the motion in the equal and opposite direction to the equally upstart Jawa. speaking of, after the 'success' of his attack, he once more righted his grip, and did a flip with his saber extended. those that are knowledgeable about Ataru would identify this maneuver on the spot as being almost the standby of that style. Akayan wanted this fight to end. BAD.

M'arek dodged the attack effortlessly with a quick sidestep, but was caught off-balance by following his thrust too far over the droid, which left the boy open, but didn't hurt him too much hopefully. M'arek spun counterclockwise with the attack, though, and slashed from the ground up in a diagonal cut from the bottom right to the top left. This was almost over. This felt right. M'arek's eyes had iced over again, his face an angry sort of passive as the battle appeared to be drawing to its close. This is it... The crowd was on tiptoe as they watched the younglings pushed to their limits. This was getting intense..

The droid was visibly surprised by the turn of events. not too long ago he was winning this fight, and now he was slowly losing. His diagonal slash on the Mirialan went over the head of the intended target. when he carried the trajectory onto Akayan, he felt the burn of the training saber graze his back as the whirling Jawa batted away the blade effortlessly, as if it were his job. it was time for drastic measures. he took two side steps to his right, turning clock wise to build up for a horizontal sweep that went low for akayan, to mid for M'Arek in a very shallow angle. Akayan in the meantime, once firmly on the ground, did a short dash, only realizing what the Droid had done at the last second, and prepared to move as fast as possible.

M'arek was not overly concerned with the droid's attack, as he saw the opening in its defense, plain as day. There was a gaping hole and M'arek intended to exploit it. He twirled his saber in his hand and brought it low to continue his slash from a moment ago, bringing the saber from the top right to the bottom left, realizing only slightly that this would strike the droid with an 'x' when combined with Akayan's strike. Serendipity. The Force had its hand in even this battle. M'arek's face contorted into that cruel-looking smile again, and he was close enough to victory that he could taste it. This was the end of this blight on their record..

Akayan was prepared this time. when the droid struck low, Akayan met it with a side flip to his right side. this put him at a right angle to his foe. reversing grip, he sprinted forwards, and jumped across his body, charring a slash from the droid's left shoulder to where its final short-rib would be. he landed with his face to the ground, and left palm on the pavement, saber crossing his back for protection. he turned back to the droid just in time to see it get the similar treatment from the Mirialan. the Diagonal slash of his companion not only mirrored the slash of Akayan perfectly, but it effortlessly beat aside the droid's feeble attempt to harm him from the opposite side. an 'X' now burned onto its chest, the eyes of the droid flickered sparratically. He turned his focus onto Akayan, knowing beyond all else that he was the one that he could beat at least. it was at this moment that he saw the Jawa hurtling at him, lightsaber prepped to stab the droid square in the fancy bullseye that was fashioned.

M'arek watched the droid turn the tide on Akayan, and couldn't see an opening to exploit. This could get very ugly. He grasped his saber firmly and brought it back up for a stab straight to the droid, wasting as little motion as possible in an attempt to drive the point home. Literally. There was not much else the M'arek could do. There wasn't enough time to charge any force powers. There wasn't enough time to waste on much of anything. Even elaborate maneuvers were wasted at this point. M'arek had to try to beat the thing. Now. For the sake of both himself and the youngling he was training with.

There was nothing worse than the wheels that were being set in motion. with the ease of swatting a fly, 4 clashed his saber into Akayan's, and batted him to the ground.Akayan did not feel any adverse effects from this, but the gesture was enough to bring back painful recent memories.Akayan's robed body slid past M'arek as he was attempting to finish the droid off. this was to no avail as the droid smelled the metaphorical blood in the water. 4 gracelessly smacked down the saber of M'Arek as a mother swats the hand of a child reaching for the sweets they are not allowed to have before supper. with that act out of the way, the droid charged full bore to the still prone Akayan, leaping at his mostly helpless foe with previously unseen determination.

it happened in slow motion...at least to our beloved Jawa.the Blade of the yellow training saber was bearing down on him. Then he heard a voice that he hadn't heard since he started repressing himself on tantooine StrikeIt was then he found his second wind, and as his foe was trying to bear his weight down on him, he reversed his grip on his saber one last time. he rolled to his feet, and sprang up to meet him halfway, using the rising slash that had failed so many times before. however, the fact that he was doing this stunned 4 enough for it to work this once. the tip of his saber went from the base of where his abs would be, all the way up to between his eyes. the manic flickering of the droids eyes sped up, and then flickered dead at long last. the droid landed, limp from the blow and Akayan followed suit, landing in the same manner as when he made the first line in the now asterik on 4's chest. he stood up, and with his blade still out, gave M'Arek a thumbs up with his left hand.

There was no one cheering as hard or as diligently as the droid right now. his fear for his master was tantamount through the whole ordeal, and when success came, he cheered loudest of all.

M'arek stood stock still, taking a deep breath and staring at the ground, his breathing still slightly accelerated. He took another deep breath and drew himself to his full height. "No..." He whispered in Basic. M'arek faced forward and saw a panel in the floor opening. At first it would be a mystery as to what he meant... But as the droid rose from the ground, it became clear. This isn't over. M'arek stared down a droid one foot taller than the others, coming in at around six feet. As it rose to their level, it ignited one saber. And then another. The masters in the audience would recognize that M'arek had found the protocol for a sith training regimen designed for masters. This was a dual-wielding juyo droid. M'arek let his lightsaber hang limp from his hand as he stared it down before it leaped forward, slashing at him, sparing Akayan for its initial assault.

Akayan
offense: Force Push +7
defense: shii-cho -2

Health: 0
Stamina: -1
Attunement: 3

No sooner had everyone been celebrating, than the crowd fell dead silent as the monolithic 6 foot droid emerged from the floor. and no sooner had this registered in their minds and Akayan's, than he was beginning an assault on M'Arek. there was no time to waste. Akayan felt power course through him as he brought back his hand behind his head, and snapped it forward at the droid.

Technique Type: offense/defense/passive
Technique Name: Force push
Description: Allows the jedi to gather the force together and release it as a concentrated uni-directional burst. While this often does no damage on its own, slamming a target into another object can hurt them terribly, or it can simply be used to off-balance an opponent or clear space.

is treated as a combat roll if used against a combatant.
operates on the standard DC system (scaled up by 4) if used against an object. For instance, 100 pounds of weight you would physically move would be 400 pounds going about five feet with force push. The typical blast door or transparisteel window requires DC 15 to break through.
+1 to the roll for every point in force push or alter.
can be overcharged. Every 2 points of attunement equals +1 to the roll.

M'arek caught both sabers on his own and pushed back with no small amount of effort, pushing the droid back and deciding that this duel just needed to end. M'arek jumped toward Akayan and brought his right hand back into a claw and the force condensed as the well of energy pooled in his palm. Thrusting it forward as Akayan did his own, hoping to decisively end this conflict, even as the audience watched in horror the battle that was unfolding before them. The younglings just thought it was a bigger droid, the padawans had some idea, and the masters watched intently, waiting to jump in if something went wrong, as could happen in the higher echelons of the droid system.
