Griffin watched as Knight ran forward and used his knee to pop up for the Shining Wizard. Knight's leg connected with the side of Griffin's head and put him face down on the mat. Knight would then easily roll Griffin over an attempt to pin Griffin. The ref would reach a count of two before Griffin would rip his shoulder off the mat to break the count.

Knight was in shock that Griffin managed to kick out of his Justice finisher as he looked at the ref. He held up three fingers while the ref shook his head and only held up two. The audience even booed at the fact that Griffin managed to kick out as Knight shook his head and slowly got to his feet. He slowly raised both of his hands straight up before sliding his left hand down his right arm as he was doing his Lance taunt. He needed to put Griffin away with his lance finisher as the audience were chanting Lance.

Knight shouldn't be shocked by only getting a two count from the move he just nailed. Seeing as how he was facing off against someone as tough as Jacob Griffin and the fact that he didn't perform his finisher the exact why it was supposed to be. It was meant for his knee to strike Jacob in the side of the head, not just the basic Shining Wizard that he connected with. Griffin began to start to get to his feet as Knight readied himself for another attack.

Knight waited till he was to his feet and facing him before trying to kick him in the gut. If it worked, he'd grab Griffin's head and put him into a front facelock before trying to lift the man up for a vertical suplex to the vertical ddt.

Griffin was kicked in his stomach and it worked to get Griffin in position for Knight to lock him into a front facelock. When Knight went for the vertical suplex Jacob locked his foot around Knight's leg to stop him from lifting him into the air. Jacob would then attempt to land a hard hook into the side of Knight's injured midsection and lock him into a front facelock of his own. If it worked then he would reach down and capture Knight's leg and attempt to lift him into the air and drive him into the mat with a Swinging Sit-Out Fishermen's Driver.

Knight was hit harshly as his midsection as he released his hold before being put into a front facelock, lifted into the air and driven into the mat back of the neck and shoulders first. The ref slid in to start a count, only reaching 2 before Knight kicked out of the driver by shear luck in his instincts.

Griffin wasn't flustered by Knight kicking out of the Just Over Michigan Driver, he was just pumped because he knew he was close to putting this match away. Griffin would be quick to try and lock up Knight's legs and place him in a neck crack going the opposite direction. The move know to people as the Twister submission.

Knight was practically screaming in pain from the twister hold as he was waving his left arm around. He didn't want to lose, and he barely had any form of strength left as he was trying to roll his body with Griffin's to try and use his own hold against him. If it managed to work, the ref would begin to count a pinfall. If Griffin reversed it, Knight would have no choice but to tap out.

The ref watched closely as Knight struggled against Jacob's submission. Eventually Knight managed to roll Jacob's shoulders on to the mat and the ref began to make his count. The ref almost reached a three count before Jacob rolled his shoulder of the mat and cracked back on Knight's neck and attempted to bring up the pressure on the Twister hold.

Knight had no choice and was tapping out as the Ref got up and called for the bell and tried to get Griffin to let go of Knight.

The debut of the Twister submission paid off as Griffin was forced to release Knight. It was a solid win for Jacob tonight and he was going to try and use the momentum going into the PPV. Knight was always a tough opponent and Griffin was glad he was able to put him away tonight. Griffin rolled out of the ring and walked backwards up the ramp with his arms raised high over his head in victory, disappearing backstage as he got to the top of the ramp.
