Candace pouted at Jerry when he complained about the glasses being boring. "You could probably do with a little bit of subtlety. Doesn't Simon have his eye on you?" So he would not be getting loud glasses even if they were offered.
"The dark green is nice," Candace mused while they waited for the salesperson to show up.

"Green, you think? My jacket's orange-" He glanced up hesitantly at the lady helping Sasha find her picks to see if that sounded odd at all, "Aren't those like. Opposites? No wait, that's blue." Elementary school art class. "I won't look like a fruit will I?"

Sasha wasn't thinking about whether or not the glasses would match Jerry's jacket, and she wasn't worried about him looking like a fruit - but since he was, Sasha would go with the more neutral of the two - just to make the next few stops a little ... less painful.
As soon as the saleswoman drew up to them, Sasha began making demands.
"We'll take the black pair for him to try on, and he'll probably need an optical while we're here. I'm not sure of the last time he's had one."
She glanced at Jerry, lifting a brow as if to say, follow the nice salesperson please.
"How long will it take for the glasses to be finished? We're in town on... business, so this needs to be expedited."
As Sasha took care of business, another young lady approached Jerry to lead him back to where the magic happens, handwave, vision test, handwave, yada.

"No, Jerry. We're not here to make you look like a fruit, you're just going to look more groomed." That was her polite way of saying he wouldn't look like a hot ******** mess anymore. Sasha had such an extensive plan for him that for the most part she was just watching, accompanying them so they could have this shore leave approved, but she was starting to think she was here to keep Sasha in check should she go too far.
She combed her fingers through Jerry's hair with a thoughtful hum, toying with the longer locks that had grown since she'd last trimmed it for him. "I know you can be stronger," Candace lowered her voice for him only, leaning in to press a light kiss against his cheek. She remembered when he had discovered her and H, when he'd shown such passionate anger to the extent that he had smashed a bottle over the Life division lead's head. H could have destroyed him. "Relax, help us help you. New clothes and a haircut can only do so much." She gave Jerry's shoulder a squeeze and stepped back as a woman took him back for his exam.
Candace turned back to Sasha and just watched her for a few moments. She really was like a completely different person. She would wait for the saleswoman to walk away and take care of a few things. "This is very generous of you, Sasha," she finally spoke up as she moved to stand beside the younger woman, a warm smile on her face. What's in it for you. She was commanding him like a pet.

Jerry flushed at the kiss, eyes locked on his feet, "I know. I know," was as far as he got before he was lead away to the crazy optical contraption that would see if his eyes got any worse since his last prescription. He glanced over his shoulder at the two, but forced a smile and a small wave before he was gone for a series of very boring-to-RP stages of eye care.

Sasha turned just as Jerry was led away. She gave him a little smile, a faux reassurance that everything would be fine. He was still listening to her, which was exactly what Sasha wanted - and so long as that trend continued, there would be no problems.
"I'm a very generous person," Sasha crooned softly, "and as Jerry will be assisting me with... more personal matters in times to come, it is the least that I could do."
She crossed her arms over her chest and cut Candace a look of disinterest.
"I'm sorry you had to come along on this little outing. Ideally it would be only Jerry and myself, but as I've said, I'm not permitted to leave the island alone, unless it's on the personal mission I've been given."

Ah, so that was what was in it for her? "It's fine, I'm happy to come along. I've been trying to help Jerry for months but he only listens to what I say for about a day before he reverts back to his 'woe is me' life of self destruction," she said with a soft sigh, glancing back at Jerry in time to catch his wave. She smiled, returning the gesture before turning back to Sasha. "Right...may I know why, by the way?"
Hm. What if Sasha refused.. "I simply ask because it's only fair. I act as your chaperone and hold myself responsible for your actions off island, I deserve to know why you've had shore leave revoked."

"He and I had a serious talk about things. He wants respect and I told him that he wouldn't be able to demand it of people if he went about in his awful shirts with his horrible hair and those glasses."
Sasha leaned down to inspect a few other frames as she contemplated Candace's question.
"The last time Rep was in the infirmary - courtesy of Jerry, I believe - I stopped by to visit, and things got a little out of hand and Harrison was under the impression that Rep didn't want me there and so he tried to stab me. Multiple times. He's got quite a temper, that one."
Sasha straightened and smoothed down her hair before glancing at Candace, pursing her lips just slightly.
"And so now Rep and I are not allowed to be on the island at the same time. I'm not allowed leave, either."
She smiled. It was as fake as a smile could get.
"There you have it."

"The glasses were more tolerable than the shirts, at least. " Candace shrugged, gently plucking a pair of glasses off a display stand. These weren't too bad, they were also closer to the current style Jerry wore.
She was quiet for Sasha's explanation, raising a brow and looking her way. Things got 'a little out of hand'? "Not usually," Candace commented in regards to Harrison's 'temper'. "He's protective of what he loves." Sorry, Sasha. Candace sides with Harrison over you, at least she also sided with Harrison over Rep so it was just a complete bias. Was Harrison not allowed off the island then? And if Rep had been the victim here why was he being punished?
There was more to this story.
"Ugh, that's terrible. I don't know how you can stand not being allowed to leave." Candace shook her head. She got cabin fever just being stuck on the island because the portals had been down. She'd hated it.
The glasses were put back, she turned back to Sasha. Ah, she knew a fake smile when she saw one. Sasha got an amused smile in return. Cute. "I see, well it's good I was able to save the day." Was Jerry ready yet? She looked over her shoulder to check on him.

"Number one.... or number two."
"Uuuuuh... I guess... number two?"
"Number two... or number three."
"They look the same."
"Number two... or number four."
Jerry wanted so very much to be done.

"Nothing is tolerable about Jerry's fashion sense," Sasha replied curtly, tapping her fingers on the glass case she stood next to. She was growing slightly irritable with how long everything was taking.
"You do realize that he's going to require some... cajoling... to come around once we get to Eve. Would you like to attempt it? Perhaps with the promise of ... personal favors? If all else fails, I've brought a flask. If that doesn't suffice, I suppose we can just skip it."
Sasha crossed her arms over her chest and narrowed her eyes.
"Are you nearly finished back there? We've other appointments to keep."

Personal favors.
Sasha was given a look. It was one part annoyed and two parts amused. "And just what personal favors are you implying, Miss Sasha?" Candace asked with a slight purr in her voice. She chuckled and shook her head, waving a hand. "I have some ideas on how to convince him."
The young woman seemed to be getting cranky. Candace rolled her eyes while Sasha's attention was elsewhere. They had all day, Sasha. Calm down. The doctor is in control of Jerry right now, not you. "Eyesight is important, I doubt the test portion is one they want rushed." Especially since Jerry not having a proper prescription could get dangerous in the long run.

"Ooooh goodness, it's been a while since I've had that done," Jerry was rubbing his eyes as he wobbled out of the back room, putting his old glasses back on with his brows furrowed, "I think my eyes DID get worse. It's been a couple years since my last test, ahahaha..."

As Jerry came back out onto the sales floor, Sasha hurried past him so that she could have a few words with the doctor.
"I'll be right back. Don't leave the store."
She paused, adding as an afterthought, "Please."

It was tempting to step outside just to spite Sasha. Candace was curious how she would react. 'Poor' Sasha seemed on edge enough as it was, the only reason she wasn't testing her limits more was for Jerry's sake and Jerry's sake only.
Right, Harrison had a temper so strong he would needlessly stab Sasha multiple times and she was the one to get punished. Yes. That sounded totally reasonable.
"Well, with our line of work it's no surprise they would get worse," Candace said to Jerry as Sasha walked away. When Candace spoke next her voice was lowered only for Jerry, her lips pouted as she gave him a dejected look. Yes, Candace was incredibly hurt by Jerry right now. "So you'll listen to Sasha over me? After I've been trying so hard to help you, I'm hurt." Yes, Jerry. Look what you've done. You owe her for this betrayal.
