">No one. Guess human's never learn to listen<" The Zorua spat, his voice rather nasty and harsh as he rose back onto his feet. Truthfully that Signal Beam had hurt more then getting kicked in the face by a Tauros, but this was far from over. This was the domain of the Nightmare after all, and non but them would survive it. ">This is the day you die human lovin trash...for the second time apparently<" The Zorua stated maliciously as he stalked forward ">Guess some garbage just don't know when it's dead<" He went on, waltzing over to the Rotom as easy as you please. He didn't seem to have any sort of defence in mind...and as he got within range, the reason would become clear. Pivoting sharply on his heel the Zorua would spin around, striking out with his legs in a Sucker Punch.
"And I guess you're so stupid, you spent so much time learning who to use other pokémon's attacks and none of your own!" Jasmine would retort.
Maybe it was unclear, maybe the Zorua would realise mid-strike his mistake... As he went to kick through the Rotom, the Rotom offered no resistance, it didn't move, it didn't even budge, it just held that excessively happy smile even as the kick connected-
And kept going... And going... As the Zorua would end up throwing itself right through the Rotom's body, just like any normal punch or kick, it didn't affect the ghost type.
Not an ounce of dark energy had collected on the Zorua's blow, after all, Sucker Punch only worked when the Zorua was reacting to an enemy about to attack!

((Jazz...? This was your attack turn. So you kinda have to do more then that.))

Grey Moonfang IV
Had his mouth not been full with a most foul-tasting and irritating bucket of doom, Culann probably would have been snarling and cursing up a storm. In case, he merely gritted his teeth on the blasted thing, and would once again try to douse the flighty Buneary. How much water could be left in this bucket, anyway?
((Jazz...? This was your attack turn. So you kinda have to do more then that.))
((Blafaggadah, you're right, getting my turns mixed up here))
((Not without options at least...))
The Zorua would fly forward, bu maybe mid strike he would wonder why his dark energy hadn't kicked in, or why the Rotom was so calmly bobbing in the air, it wasn't attacking.
It had to attack, didn't it?!?
Jasmine summed up all of the Zorua's troubles in one word.
"Return!"
PKE vanished away in a red mist of light back to his ball, and the Zorua kept going, and going...
And then stopped, with a foot jarring Krang against Metal!
He'd look up, and find himself beneath the bladed steel bird, Ironclaw.
[Hello...] She said, in a soothing tone reserved for Spinarak to ledyba. [You want to consider surrender already...?]
Apparently plenty, as the Growlithe would slop water onto the ground, missing the Buneary by a mile. This was a dream so infinite buckets weren't exactly the strangest thing around.
(So I've noticed. It's particularly common when you counter.)
Despite the miss of what would have otherwise been a lethal strike, the Zorua just smiled ">Ello poppet. Care ta go fer a stroll ta the pearly gates?<" The Dark-Type said mockingly. Even with the chips down it seemed he still very much expected to entirely eliminate the competition; and not in a very nice way. Black energy would flare up around the Pokemon's body. He wasn't in a position to do anything more then half damage; but his kind were known for hitting rather hard anyway. Racing forward the Zorua would merely strike out with Pursuit. The girl was lucky he hadn't used this during his counter!
[I already frequent the skies.] She hissed in a slow, low voice from her beak.
Looked like surrender wasn't on this Zorua's mind, do or die was certainly there.
But she didn't dodge, she set her legs and stood ready, she wasn't about to back down, she was going to throw all her Weight into defending here as Armored wings and segments would lock, forming an iron tight barrier shield against the small fox, it would be up to his determination to see how much of a mark he'd make now!
Maybe if he saw how light his attacks would be against her...
For the first strike the Zorua would practically bounce off his opponent; but that didn't seem to discourage the Pokemon much. Instead he merely retreated to the edge of the mists, waiting for the Skarmory to make a strike of her own.
Away the Zorya bounded, as she would open her armor again and allow her wings freedom, spreading them wide and flat.
He had given himself some distance indeed, but distance didn't matter in the air, as with a simple couple of steps and an upward swing, she was in the sky, moving back and forth, far out of reach of his mewling fangs.
But this wasn't just about staying above him where he couldn't reach, it was of course also about sending a message. [Just give it up!] She quaked.
Her eyes fixed on him behind those goggles, [We've won and there's not a trick you have left!]
[Now I can either tear you to shreds and ten have Jasmine bandage what's left of you back together, or you can stop barking, sit, and surrender already!]
She snapped like an angry mother... But it would work? Could she really Leer him into submission here?
">Really are looking through rose tinted glasses aren't you?<" The Zorua declared back, a rather smug expression on his face. You couldn't shame the shameless, nor did one stand a chance at at intimidating one backed by a literal nightmare; and if she thought the sky was safe...she obviously didn't understand where she was, or what she was fighting!
Darkness flared around the legs of the Zorua as he leaped upward...and never fell back down. Skipping and galloping the little black fox would ascend as easily as if he had wings, leaving a trail of shadowy black footprints in his wake. Pursuit was a miraculous thing. You could flee from it, but never escape it. It was a move which would follow no matter where you fled to, even the air. Those last few precious seconds were the only fault...but that wouldn't matter. Least not as far as the Zorua was concerned!
Ironclaw let out an incredulous squawk as the Zorua leapt and kept leaping though midair, shadow jumping certainly seemed an appropriate word for it.
She'd grown complacent with the little fox, and she was about to face it now, she couldn't lock her armor up in mid air or she'd just crash instead!
She pulled up, but it kept coming after her... She couldn't get away from Pursuit, but maybe if she switched strategy... Suddenly she flipped mid-air, back upon herself as bladed wings tipped and turned until she had entirely turned, bladed beak first coming down at the Zorua.... He might hit her, but she was going to make sure he'd regret it as she'd rush him at full speed instead!
Between his claws and her armor, she would place her faith in her defences!
Well it hadn't been the strongest blow in the world, but the Skarmory's defense hadn't been able to entirely stop it; and even from where Jasmine stood she'd be able to tell that anyone other then Ironclaw likely would have taken a truly severe blow. The deed for the moment done the Zorua would retreat, half running, half falling towards the ground.
Ironclaw was bashed back as the Zorua's smack sent her head like an uppercut, she reeled, but this wasn't her out of it, before she could be sent off course, she gritted down and turned, there he was, the Zorua with its back on her...
[Alright... you... asked for it!] She kept her beak gritted, before suddenly she wheeled in mid-air once again, following right after the fleeing fox, as he would head back to the ground, she fell in a sheer drop towards him, her beak glistening to its sharpened tip, her Peck aimed right for him!
Nimble as an Aipom the Zorua would flip out of the way of the peck, ending up behind the Skarmory! ">Hello Daaaaawlink!<" He taunted, before rushing forward in what couldn't be anything less then another Pursuit!
