Penthesilea lowered her head and continued to nuzzle Kadira as the filly bumbled over her words. She had every right to be scared with what she had gone through. No foal should ever have to go through something like this and even though they held a truce in this moment Penthesilea was furious at Achilles for having put Kadira through all this. "Shhhh." She soothed her. "It's alright, I'm here now." She may be a warrior trained for battle and have just gone through a life and death fight but Penthesilea also had a soft spot for foals and wanted nothing more than to protect Kadira and make her happy once more. "Do not worry about that stallion, he is gone now, I have made sure of it." She wished that she could promise Kadira that Achilles was gone for good, that they would not have to worry about him again but she knew that that was not true. "I'm sorry it took me so long to get to you."
Slowly she could feel Kadira's shaking lessening. "I will always be here for you Kadira, no matter what. Remember that." Kadira was like a daughter to her, to the whole herd "Come now you have had a trying day. Let's get back to the others and let you rest." She had hoped to have the herd moving again today but after this she would have them stay here for a few days to allow Kadira to recover, then they would make the final leg of their journey to the herd lands.

Slowly the fear ebbed away. She was still worried and a little afraid but Penthesilea's soft words and touches made her feel safe once more. It was funny how a mare so strong, so well training in fighting could also be so mothering when needed. She swallowed hard and took a step back. Kadira was still worried that she might get in trouble for wandering off too far and getting into this mess in the first place but right now Penthesilea didn't mention it. "O-okay." She could definitely use some rest, she had been so scared this whole time that she could feel her body drained of energy. "Why did he chase me?" She asked as Penthesilea began to lead her out of the ravine.

She helped Kadira up the slow of the ravine, using her body to prevent the filly from sliding back down. Once they were at the top she walked slowly, not wanting to force Kadira into a face and exhausting pace just to get back to the others. At the fillies question she looked down at her. "I will explain it to you later, once you have rested." That would give her time to truly sort out everything that had happened and ensure she told Kadira the truth without causing the filly any more fright. "What's important now is that we get you rested and taken care of." She continued along the trail leading them back to where the rest of the herd waited. She would also need to have her wounds looked at by Yakut, but that would happen after Kadira was taken care of.
