"Lions and tigers and bears..." He smirked as he summoned his weapon again, glad to have the weight of his cards between his fingers even if they would be a little bit harder to shuffle with their bladed edges. "This really is no place for children, you know!" He called out to the two; senshi and... Knight? Almost the same aura as Camelot, but weaker... A lower level?
"A carnival, perhaps, but certain not war. Why don't you run away, little girl, before you get hurt." He flicked one of his throwing cards in her direction, purposefully aiming for her feet. Even with the added dose of corruption he didn't quite have it in him to hurt a child, but he certainly wasn't above startling her.... And the youma? They would eat her without a second thought. "Do your parents know where you are? Don't you think they'd be heartbroken if you didn't come home tonight?"

Aldebaran gave a thumbs up to the page. She was glad that someone else was there to fight beside her. When there was another civilian getting attacked by a youma, Aldebaran charged it, knocking it back to near the page. "There's one coming your way!"
When the card landed at her feet, Aldebaran jumped back and frowned. "Hey that was mean!" The card did no harm, so instead she stomped on it and continued to frown. At least she knew where it came from. Aldebaran knew that her parents had been there with her. She had let them run off while she ducked to power up. Her parents might be worried about her, but at least Aldebaran knew that she was fighting to protect them.
Aldebaran knew that she had no way to control the phoenix flying around, but was glad to see it flying towards the bad man that threw the stupid card at her. With a slight, sudden pop, the phoenix burst into flames and disappeared for good. She looked at the man and stuck her tongue out. "It thought you deserved that!"
Pompeii was doing her best to deal with the civilians freaking out and the youma that she could distract but only by shear luck could dust. She was so focused that she almost missed someone saying something close by. Children? Adults could at least protect themselves somewhat but children? For the first time since this started Pompeii had a direct goal, protect the children. She spun around in time to see the silver haired man the chibi senshi pointed out throw something at her. She was storming back in their direction, "Why don't you pick on someone your own size dillweed." Three freaking days before her freaking birthday and now she had to deal with this s**t! She didn't even what to be here in the first place! Pompeii promised herself that if she got out of this alive she wouldn't let her mom push her into big events like this again... a promise that felt hollow even as she thought it.
At least the kid has spunk Pompeii thought as she got closer after dodging the youma the girl had sent her way.... what does it take to dust these things? a grenade?

"I'm Sailor Athene and that was..." he hesitated "something called a youma" he said at last before adding simply "They're monsters."
A ping on his senses, almost on top of them, turning Athene kicked out at a second youma that that had been creeping up on them and dusted it before looking over at the guy with the blue dreadlocks, who it seemed had taken the opportunity to regain his feet. "Please you have to get out of here."
And Athene had to do his best to stop the Nega Agents he could sense - had to find them first in this craziness of youma, stampeding animals and panicked civilians.

"Roger that, sir." It was nice to hear their captain's voice over the communicator, and his advisement couldn't have been more timely. As she was pocketing the thing again there was someone shouting at her, nearish her, that wasn't a scream. Schörl's attention whipped to the source, but found a pleasant lion-mauling on the ground not far off instead of a body or weapon bearing down on her.
"Lucky you still have your throat, pretty." Lucky, but unfortunate. The looks gave it away- silly collar, little skirt, dumb bows... this was a scout. They'd had orders from pink and crazy to kill any they found, and as she was a General in Schörl's own division that was something of a more serious affair. Presented and plated..it was now her duty to take care of the little entree.
Schörl sprinted the distance and leapt for a flying sidekick.

It was chaotic and her fellow PSSG Senshi and allies were getting knee deep in trouble, even as Tsui moved about and tried to keep an eye on the civilians. She had spotted the Negaverse agents that were either locked in combat, and the amount of starseeds she saw being pulled drove her deeper into a rage. If it were Senshi or Pages she was watching die, that'd be one thing, but innocents?
She gave a scream and lashed out at the closest youma she could find. One youma had its jaws primed and was charging at group, but the sight of a phoenix-shaped energy caught her attention. She looked to Chibi Aldebaran and flashed the girl a thumbs up as it seemed enough to distract the youma. "Great job! Keep at it!"
It may not have been much, but it was something. She moved closer towards the Chibi senshi, driving a fist right between a youma's eyes when it was getting much too close to them than Tsui could have liked. It gave a growl and fell back, sparing another civilian and herself from danger, and that, as well as the chibi Senshi's presence, was enough to keep her from completely going ballistic right now. She needed a cool head! What use was a warrior without their head?
Leda groaned; the last thing she expected to happen was a lion jumping out of nowhere and interrupting her. Youma? Certainly. Lieutenants? Maybe. But a wild animal? Nope. By the time she pried herself off the ground and acquired her bearings, the Negaverse agent had spotted her. So much for the element of surprise...
Leda shrieked when Schörl leapt into the air, coming at her at a harrowing speed. Luckily her instincts kicked into gear and she sidestepped out of the way, or else she'd have a grievous injury compounded on that animal's attack. She wasn't sure she'd survive both a lion mauling and a Lieutenant mauling. "I'm sorry!" She shouted over the cacophony of the crowd, hoping it might dissuade the girl from attacking further.
At least she was safe, for the time being.

Lt. Schörl
She landed neatly on the miss, staying fluid and limber. At least until that Lion that was just attacking Leda decided that someone just popping out of air nearby was also threatening and did the dissuading for Leda as it pounced Schörl from the side, bowling the lieutenant over a few feet and raking claws along her right shoulder and neck.
"Get OFF, beast."
At least it listened to the reason of a smack with a crop a moment later, shaking its hear and growling.

Opal felt Ida come at her again and tried to block but it wasn't necessary as the hit never connected and she seemed to nearly lose her balance in trying to block it. For a few moments she stared in quiet shock at the senshi feeling very embarrassed.
"Yes, Captain!"
The Captain's voice came at just the right time, breaking her out of that embarrassment. She was a soldier now and she'd be damned if some cute kid in a short skirt got the better of her. (Where did these people learn to dress, anyway?) She hauled back with a very strong, or she felt it was, punch aimed at the pretty little thing's stomach. She wasn't going to play dirty but she wasn't messing around, either.
"Be a smart little girl and keep to yourself."
Giving a quick glance in Schorl's direction she tried to see if her fellow agent needed help.
"Schorl? You ok over there?"

"Bleeding Monsters, ya say? No, really? I coulda told ya that!" Elijah shouted as he waved his ripped up arms. It was fairly obvious to him what these things were, truthfully, but the question had been sort of a knee-jerk reaction. What he had really meant was; where the hell did these things come from and why are they attacking me?
He knew perfectly well that he had to make a run for it, but it seemed that today was not to go his way no matter what he did. As the young acrobat was busy throwing a fit at the senshi who was trying to save him, a hungry, clawed hand wrapped around his ankle and jerked him off his feet. He shouted in surprise as he flopped like a fish, desperately kicking whatever the thing was in the face.
Maybe it was the crowds and the noise distracting her, or maybe she had rushed into this too soon, but whatever it was, this lower ranked negaverser was getting the better of the super senshi.
Not only did her second swing miss, but the girl managed to land a hit on her in return... and a good hit at that.
Ida wheezed and doubled over as the punch landed square in her stomach, with enough force to knock the wind out of her and send her to her knees. She clutched her middle as she coughed, trying to catch her breath again, her mind screaming at her to moved, to hit back, anything! before the other woman took advantage of the opening.
Still holding her stomach, Ida dropped completely to the ground and rolled out of the way, pushing herself back up onto her feet even as her knees wobbled.
"Lucky shot." She said, rubbing her bruised midsection.
This was so frustrating! She was trying so hard to be useful and competent, but so far everything was just falling apart on her. Was she trying too hard, was that the problem? Or wasn't she trying hard enough?
Well, one way to find out, really. Gathering herself, Ida threw caution and collateral damage concerns to the wind.
"Beautiful Petal Barrage!" She shouted as she swept her hand in front of her, trailing glowing petals. They flashed as they slimmed down to needles and flew outwards, spraying the area before the senshi. Her luck held this time as no needles hit running civilians, even causing one of the rampaging youma to puff into dust as it was hit by stray needles.
One down, one left.
Super Sailor Scout Attack: Beautiful Petal Barrage! [What it does] Causes a spray of needle-like petals in a fan shap in the direction Ida is facing. A powered up version of the Petal Darts, the petals can cause slightly deeper cuts that take more than just one day to heal. Clothing can still block this but there is a chance of the fibers being sliced by the petal, which could need to be repaired. Range is again, five or six feet and she can use it twice per battle. Twice will exhaust her and she will have to retire from the fight until she's rested. Can't be directed to a single target, as mentioned its more of a spray.

Why wasn’t the other running was the frustrated thought running through Athene’s head as the dreadlocked civilian started pitching a fit at him. He’d already told the other, twice that it was dangerous – and from the other’s injuries he had already had first-hand experience of what a youma could do.
“Please…” he started, the sentence he’d been about to voice unfinished, as he saw a clawed hand reaching towards the ranting civilian “Hey watch out!” he called out in warning, a warning that came too late as the clawed hand yanked the civilian off his feet.
Not on his watch. Not again. He was not going to let the youma kill the civilian if he could help it. Charging after the youma, Athene swung at it as hard as he could. It wasn’t perhaps the most brilliant punch but it was backed by an eternal’s strength.
The youma had managed to get a swipe in at him though before Athene could dust it and although the fabric covering his right arm had protected him from the worst of it, the blow had still been enough to shred fabric and draw blood.
He bit his lip and tried again, “Listen, I know I keep repeating myself but it’s really not safe here. You need to get out of here.” And Athene had to try and find the Nega officers he kept sensing – maybe the youma would be easier to deal with if the Nega officers were stopped.

Opal saw why the senshi were so annoying. They had bloody magic! She acted quickly and looked around for something useful. Oh! Bingo! She was hit by a few of the needles and held up a broken piece of wood to try and shield her from the bulk of them. She was cut a little, bleeding shallowly here and there, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been.
"You really are more trouble than you're worth!" She growled.
That was it! No more playing around for her. Opal advanced on the senshi menacingly, as if she no longer had any other target in mind. She would take that blasted starseed if she could at this point just to see her fall to the floor. Total: 130 Starseeds: 2
