Eliza grinned, watching him mash everything into a bowl and pour it into the waffle maker. She clapped her hands together and nudged him(Briar) slightly with her elbow, "It'll taste better than it looks, hopefully."

With a sly wink she turned to the table and began cutting 'pumpkin shapes' from the rind... which quickly corrected themselves into circles--- who looked weird and wobbly... so Eliza cut them into sharp edged parallelograms and stuck them around the edges of the plates. A dollop of soft butter she stirred some cinnamon into for color plopped atop each waffle, also varying sizes.

Stepping back, her face reddened somewhat and she scratched the back of her head, a guilty smile trying its luck on her lips... "ummm I was going for some abstract Van Gogh lookin.. thing? Sorry.."

"It's alright," Angela said doubtfully. "Um...what is it that children say? Five second rule?" Unfortunately, pastries were definitely not her forte. Actually, this was her first time making them. The dough wasn't really hard, but rolling it out and making the shapes all perfect and pretty was fairly difficult and on top of that, the filling was kind of...watery. And there were suspicious lumps. Ew.

She shot a death glare at the woman who'd thrown things at Alfred, wondering who it was. She was going to memorize her face bloody well break her nose later. Definitely. But for now, she got the pasties all shaped (okay, they were slightly misshapen--but it was her first time with these things, dammit!) and popped them in the oven for a bit.

She'd even brushed with egg yolks and all that fancy stuff. When she pulled them out, well, they looked somewhat edible? She wasn't about to taste them though.

"We just won't tell anyone you dropped the filling. And next round, I'll keep an eye out for projectiles so I can deflect?"

It seemed like it was too late to give up now that the festival started. Already on the verge of tears, C.C. slowly shuffled on over to the ingredients table to grab an awkward handful before hobbling back over to their cooking station. At least, she tried? Even if she was full out sobbing over onions. Oh, she wasn't even sure what she was doing. She was just so upset that Aye-Aye and Babsy were there, and she was stuck with Dodge. Now, her plan to get rid of him would never work!

It was kind of a blur from that point on. She just remembered that at some point, she was shooting to make a pumpkin pudding, but onions, hand sanitizer, blood from when she was trying to cut up the pumpkin, mustard, and some intestines. Oh, she wasn't even sure anymore. C.C. just stared tearfully at Dodge. "D-D-Dodge, d-do you think you c-can try t-t-tasting it?"

The plate looked dull as it was with just the bare pasta bites. Presentation wasn't his strong point but that meant in no way that he was bad at it. He had everything planned out perfectly, until his gaze landed on his wife. Anna was at a table with another partner, a guy(John). Catching him off guard, his ideas slipped away and he looked down at the plate dully. He would have liked to cook with her.

With less gusto, Michael fried chopped sage as he used a brush to lightly butter the gnocchi. He then sprinkled the herb atop the dish and stepped back, arms folded across his chest.

Dodge didn't quite know what to make of all of this. One second he had been standing there staring at two of his fiancees, and the next the festival had started. He looked over at C.C. and watched as she hobbled over to the ingredients. Dammit, she should've just told him what she wanted. That girl was so stubborn sometimes. How was he supposed to act like her big knight in shining armor when she was always worried about taking care of herself? She was missing a leg, for crying out loud. He couldn't just let her suffer like that. He should just go and flop her over his shoulder and carry her back. She was tiny enough to make that work. Before he could fully come up with the best plan of action, she was already back and working on whatever it was that she was working on. He knew that he didn't really know much about cooking, but what was she doing? When she offered for him to try and taste it, he gulped hard and stared down at the mess she had made. "Darlin', your dish looks mighty tasty, but I ain't right sure that we supposed to taste it. I mean, we don't got them there judges fer nothin', right? Whatta you say about whoopin' it back on up fer me once we get back to the RV?" He smiled down at her, happy with that response. Thankfully, he was pretty sure that they didn't have anything that could be used to recreate that mess.

But now, it was his turn! He took a look at that thing in front of him and slid it over to his side of the workstation. Sure, he didn't really know what he was doing, but he tried to figure something out. First, he took a spoon into his hand and began mixing around the concoction more. After a few stirs, however, he began to tell that that was actually making it look so much worse, so he stopped. He grabbed some grass up from the ground and tossed it (along with the large amounts of dirt still attached) onto the top of it. There! That's what people used to make things look nice, right? He was sure that he had seen grass on something that his mother had made before.

Riley had of course not been shocked at all when this blue-haired woman had agreed to partner up with him. He nodded his head at her and motioned on towards a table when it had finally reached time to begin. "I'm just gonna cook and you can make my s**t look nice, yeah? Bitches love making s**t look nice, right?" Sure they did. He didn't even expect a response to that. It was such a simple question. He stood for a minute, trying to contemplate what exactly it is that he should cook before finally making his way over to the ingredients and scooping up whatever s**t was left. He had taken a long while in mind preparation, so it shouldn't have been any real surprise that he came back holding a weird combination of items. "I found some quesadilla shells, so I figured I could stuff this s**t with something good." He shrugged, only half caring to keep her in the know because he was the chef and could do whatever he damn well pleased just like she could do whatever she wanted once it was her turn to play with it.

He began adding different ingredients into a bowl (pumpkin, cheese, nuts) and started to stir it up and mash it real good before he started haphazardly spreading it on the shells. It wasn't long before he had tossed it in the skillet and started cooking it. During the wait, he turned his head to look around at the competition when he noticed some damn hot babe. He stared at her, willing those clothes to just slip right off when he began to smell some smoke. "It's all on you now, toots."

"I don't know," Umi said. "I can find a b***h and ask her. I think there's one over there!" she pointed to a random person as she followed after Riley and watched him make something...weird. Now, she was from France. She was used to strange food but she had no idea what the heck he was making. And then he burned it. Which, well, it had looked a little weird prior to burning it so she wasn't sure the burning had actually damaged it all that much anyway.

She looked down at the plate, then up at Riley, so very amused by this guy. She wasn't sure if it was apathy, lack of skill, or just both, but it was funny, regardless. "Right!" She had no idea how she was supposed to make this look pretty. Maybe add flowers? Hmm. She should spend some more time in the kitchen with her mother. She was sort of moving around bottles and jars trying to decide what the heck to do with the burned...whatever they were...things from Riley when she knocked over a bottle of water straight onto the quesadilla dish.

"Oh, merde!" she hissed, quickly knocking the bottle away and dumping the quesadillas on a tea towel and trying to sort of...sop up the water before they went all soggy. She kind of succeeded. Sort of. She finally gave up and just sort of arranged them on separate plates. She didn't think they looked worse now than they had when Riley had given them to her. And at least she arranged them in a little pattern, sort of. Yeah.

"We will tell them it is a French delicacy. They will probably think it's great."

Zelynity had stepped closer to Jacob and squeezed on the muscle that he had so blatantly started flexing. She couldn't quite tell if he thought that he was being so slick, but either way, she was happy to oblige. "I'll take this first round, big guy. You can save yourself up for later." She winked before turning her attention to the task at hand. She walked to grab all of the ingredients that she needed and made her way back to the workstation with a smile. Ah, it was so nice to be all domestic and adorable in public together! Is this what it would be like? They could just spend all this time doing cute little things together... no. Wait. She couldn't allow this relationship to rule her life. She didn't want to do everything with him. Goddess that would be a whole lot of Jacob, and while she really liked being around him... She turned to look over at him and started pumpkin and chickpeas together into the food processor. Okay, so maybe she wouldn't really mind having him around more often.

She then continued adding in various spices and some lemon juice until the result was smooth. Finally, she added it onto a plate and tossed some chips onto the plate. It didn't matter if she just threw them around, right? It was Jacob's job to make it look wonderful! Hmm, before she could allow it to pass on, she needed to have a taste of it. She grabbed a chip and took a bite of the dip and bit down rather hard on something that ... oh goddess should not have been there. Oh no. What was that?! She looked next to her processor and saw the leftover chickpeas shelled hazelnuts that remained. Oh no. Ohhh no. She had been thinking too much about those dang muscles too much and now... now she had ruined everything. She slid the plate over to Jacob and smiled, hoping to play it off. "I'm ready for you." She leaned in and whispered in the most sultry voice she could imagine.

Xeiro had ran to grab the best ingredients possible as the festival started and smiled over at Tshila once he had returned. He then grabbed a bowl and began stirring some cream cheese until it started to turn smooth. "Y'know, I'm really glad that we decided to do this, too. I can already tell that we make a good pair." He smiled again as he added in spices and sauce, paying extra attention to how amazing she looked right now. So much attention that he had practically ignored that he was pouring in sauce and added far too much. Once he pulled himself away, he began stirring again and hardly noticed the change in color. Next came the fun part, where he started to stick his hands in and form a proper ball shape. He placed the mass onto a plate and covered it properly before placing it into the convenient built-in refrigerator below. After carefully rinsing his hands off, he quickly started the timer and then turned back to his lovely partner. With all of this time left over to allow the food to finish, he just had to find a way to entertain her.

As he contemplated the perfect thing to do, he recalled her mentioning burning his shirt. Now, he just couldn't let that happen. He happened to like this shirt. So, he did the next best thing and took it off and tossed it aside. "Y'know. I don't think I've ever showed you this trick." He began bouncing his pecs as he walked over towards her. Ah, he still had it. He just had to glance down at himself. Even if there was an incredibly hot babe in front of him, he couldn't just pass up the opportunity to check this manly beef out. He seemed to have lost himself in some sort of perfect pecs trance and the next thing he knew the timer had gone off. He turned his attention back to the fridge and pulled out the cheese ball, uncovered it and started walking towards Tshila when some projectile pumpkin guts flew and hit him in the face. Before he knew it, he had turned to look in the direction of this pumpkin slinging and his cheese ball had fallen on the ground. "Oh s**t!" He bent down quickly to pick it back up and sit it back on the table. "Dammit, I'm really sorry, Tshila. I don't know where that came from. I hope you can figure something out." He grabbed a towel and wiped the gunk off of his face and began to accept the fact that he was just destined to never do very good at one of these things.

Tshila was having a lot of fun watching Xeiro because first of all, he pretty much stripped straight away and she was not going to get tired of looking at his amazing body. And second, he was completely goofing off like a complete dork and it was hilarious and adorable and she kept forgetting that he was a lot older than her because he didn't act like it at all. It actually didn't occu to her that the fact he was a giant man-child might not be a good thing. She was totally laughing at his antics when pumpkin guts flew out of no where and smacked him in the face.

"Ohmygosh! Are you okay!?"
Tshila said, hopping off the counter where she was sitting and hurrying to him. She didn't even pay attention to the cheesy thing he was making at the moment. She was more worried about if he'd gotten pumpkin stringy bits in his eyes or something. "Like, are you sure you're fine?" She flailed slightly as she grabbed his face and pulled him down where she could inspect his face and make sure his eyes were okay. She grabbed a tea towel to wipe the pumpkin off his face. "Where did that even come from??" She glanced around, her gaze finally falling on the slightly...smooshed thing that Xeiro had been cooking.

Aww....

"Pfft. I got this,"
she told him, twisting her neck from side to side before she went to work. She carefully picked off every ounce of dirt, every bit of grass, every bit of everything that should not be there. She reshaped the whole thing into a perfect little sphere, then smooshed the top down just slightly so it was somewhat more pumpkin shaped and carved little lines in it, and put a cleaned off pumpkin stem on the top. Using an offset spatula, she transferred the whole thing to a fancy place and scattered pita chips around it for dipping, making sure they were nicely arranged.

"Ta da!" she said, licking a bit of extra cheese off her thumb. Oh....God. That was terrible! Not that Xeiro was a terrible cook! She was sure he was a great cook because she'd eaten his baking before and it was completely amazing so it had just totally been a bogus recipe. But she kept the same bright smile on her face because she definitely couldn't tell him it tasted bad and, really, maybe it tasted good...to some people!

Sethrian was focused. Completely and totally focused. He'd even completely forgotten that Vi was even there. He took over all the cooking and really didn't let her do anything--he first cleaned out the small pumpkin he'd selected then set it in a preheated oven to let it roast. And while that was happening, he lightly toasted some bread, shredded the cheeses and added the cream, garlic and spices. When the pumpkin was ready and the mixture finished, he began to layer the bread, cheese and cream. When that was finally finished, he covered the pumpkin with its top and let that roast for a while until the insides were nice and melty and gooey and delicious.

It smelled great by the time he pulled it out of the oven and that was when he finally realized Vi was there, supposedly to help him.

So as much as he was reluctant to do so, he handed the pumpkin fondue over to her to arrange with some crackers or whatever. There wasn't much for her to mess up but he had a feeling that she was probably very, very good at messing things up. So he just...hoped for the best. Somehow.

"I guess it's your turn now..."

Gray was taking things very, very easy with cooking because he was no master chef and he believed that keeping it simple was the best way to victory. So his dish was a simple one of stuffed puff pastry, cut into the shape of pumpkins. The filling itself was really easy too--just pumpkin puree with some egg, cinnamon and nutmeg. And sugar of course. He mixed all that up until it was nice and smooth, then put little spoon fulls onto the puff pastry squares he cut out. Then he sealed up the edges and set them all to the side.

"Well, mate, we are cutting these little guys into little pumpkins, brushing with egg white and sprinkling with sugar, then baking at 350 until golden brown."

He materialized a knife out of thin air and handed it to Zeke. "I'll let you handle the cutting out of the pumpkin shapes because they'd likely just look like basketballs if I did it. Besides, the lack of depth perception makes knife work a little difficult sometimes."

"But not always," he added, sliding one hand over the other to produce a second knife for Zeke to use. "In fact, sometimes knife work is quite easy!" And as he said this, he produced a third knife--oh wait, that was a spoon! He grinned slightly. "Well, maybe not all that easy."

Ezekiel smiled at his partner, ah this was going to be wonderful. He couldn't have asked for anything better. Maybe he could enlist Gray in helping him with his magic show, he did work for himself, so if he wanted to enlist a co-magician, he could just add that on in. Well, maybe during the off-season of the circus, he didn't want to keep the man from his livelihood. Hmm, cutting pumpkin shapes out. That didn't sound very hard at all and he was glad to take a materialized knife from Gray and start working on it. "This doesn't seem like it'll be too hard." He began cutting them out and was generally pleased with the work that he was performing. Sure, there were a few places here and there that weren't the greatest, but he had done the best of his abilities and that's really all that mattered.

He turned to Gray and smiled, "I think I've done a pretty good job, yeah?" He slid them back towards the other man. "Oh no. Wait!" He pointed towards a place that should have a little pumpkin sitting on it. "Where could it have gone?" He looked around, with a smile on his face before turning to his partner and reaching behind his ear. "Gray, you silly. Don't go putting our pumpkins behind your ear!" He laughed and pulled his hand back holding the most beautiful of all of his little pumpkins.
