Lily nodded and onward they went off to the right watching herself in the mirrors as they walked. The place was actually rather creepy after a few minutes and too quiet probably because their probably wasn't anyone else around. Another two paths came up and she decided to keep right, looking to Trevor with a grin and hoping she wasn't getting them more lost.
"I don't mind heading to the boardwalk for some game after we get out of here," she said continuing to walking, taking the next left turn without really even thinking about it. "I hope they have some panda bears. I don't know, but I'd kind of like one. Maybe I can win some prizes for you too?"
She stopped frowning at the mirrors not realizing she taken a few turns, "I think I got us lost," she said before jumping slightly, "did you hear that I think I heard something."

The clapping was weird enough that for a moment Marlin had seriously contemplated backing away and leaving the other to it. And the shouted outburst hadn’t helped. And then the blond had to go mentioning that he’d was looking for a friend and make Marlin feel a little sorry for him.
“Um Marlin” he said automatically at Ricky’s introduction. Amending it to an “I mean I’m Marlin – Marlin Joanson.” At Ricky’s question about knowing the way out he shook his head “Sorry I don’t,” then went on to admit “But I’m looking for it.”
Marlin had a feeling that he was going to regret his next words “We could look together if you want?” He made it a question not particularly wanting Ricky to take him up on the offer.

((OOC: Yeah, I totally just... conked out... XD PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE DEAD CHIBIGINGI BEHIND THE CURTAINS)) "Going surprisingly well... ever since I was promoted, feels like less things have beent trying to kill me," Buddingtonite said, giving a stretch and feeling a bit of anticipation trying to escape his carefully cool facade. That only made him act bigger, and his smile deepened trying to recall the promotion himself. "It was... shortly after I tried to bring a certain page to our side, with minimal success. There were complications and she's been given more time to review her decision. Anyway, I was taken to the Rift shortly after and there I was promoted."
He failed to mention how completely drunk he was, so drunk that he couldn't quite remember who the General-King or Queen was that offered him the promotion. It could have been a youma or a prankster for all he cared- a promotions a promotion!
Buddingtonite didn't think ill of the lieutenant for his admittance for not wanting to get too involved into the maiming. He didn't blame him. It was a life changing event, and stressful, and not to mention not their job. You wanted fighters, pull the likes of Serpentine and Mica, or any other striker from Howlite's little arsenal. Men like Amethyst and himself were more about the recruitment, but they could at least drain energy, for their Negaverse. "I wouldn't worry too much about the maiming part, then. Don't worry... I'm sure we'll get our amount of starseeds in before the night is through, and if I have a few extra, I'll lend them to you if you ask nicely."
He wouldn't go into detail about that last bit, but the look on his would have made the wise suspicious. He wave his hand a wave, revealing his communication crystal to Amethyst. "Besides, best leave the gruesome work to the youma, I think... I'll give the General a ring if things start looking grim and I'm certain she'll be happy to send the little beasties for reinforcement." And yet the night seemed full of surprises, as no sooner had Gwen greeted Orah, she heard another familiar voice and looked to Arian. "Well, looks like the gang's all here! What a coincidence!" Not really when one thought about it, and had Gwen not been too wrapped up in the excitement around her and the sight of her friends, she might have been a little suspicious of her run of luck. For now, she was just happy to be around friends. She was going to say something to the effect of their little team up, but someone had bumped into her and cut her off before she could even get the words out. Gwen was more startled than angry, and some of that might have shown in the way she whirled around to stare at Sirsce. "It's okay! It's pretty crowded here, and..." Gwen recognized the girl that had bumped into her, though she had never met her. But she definitely recognized her, and she racked her brain to try and put a time and place to her name, as she carried on talking about patterns and swimsuits. It was probably this that caused the memory to dawn on Gwen, and any anger she might have held for her bumping into her was completely gone as she exclaimed. "You're the girl that went to Sugar Shanty with those fabrics that day! I work across the street at Padma's Bouquet, right?" She was essentially saying 'hi, I spied on you one day, but don't worry about that'. but Gwen didn't even consider it. The compliment to her hair, nor her drawings, went unnoticed, and now that Gwen was able to play the girl, she responded in kind. "Thanks- you kind of got the same thing going on, right? Why pick one color when you can have two? Nice drawings, by the way... you're a designer?" Scott was already hesitant about this whole business, and the amount of people he saw going into the House of Mirrors only made the feeling worse. He had no idea who else was assigned to assist him, but he knew he'd be outnumbered. But he had no choice. He had his orders, and rather he liked them or not, he wouldn't question, nor disobey.
He heard someone talking to their friend and he couldn't help but eavesdrop, and he looked to his left to see two girls, about his age, making their way to the assigned destination. He wanted to shirk away and hide, but seeing another girl's fear granted him courage to speak, oddly enough.
Well, if soft, barely audible mumble could be considered speaking. "Um... yeah... really scary. You shouldn't go..."
Scott was terrible with the ladies, and he braced himself for their inevitable retaliation and the mockery that was likely headed his way. But still, it was the least he could do...Quicksilver the Archangel

Kyndall nodded knowing what he meant. His awkwardness was one of the reasons she adored him. She felt she was uniquely able to deal with it and translate when needed, or simply absorb it and give him a graceful out. It seemed to work either way. She just smiled and paused in her steps, looking around to be able to answer his question. They were already on the boardwalk.
"I don't know, dearest."
She looked at Dogby and knew the pup limited their options almost as much as her pregnancy did. The rides seemed to be out of question. Not only would he have objected to that, rather strongly, but they wouldn't allow Dogby near them either. Which was alright for now because even looking at the towering coaster off to the side made her a little green in the face.
"Traditionally you would try to win me a prize so I can carry around a big teddy bear of your affection all night to show everyone in the carnival how much you love me."
She was teasing him again, that laughing smirk of hers on her lips. She would always enjoy seeing him stammer and blush. But, honestly, she mostly wanted to sit down with a glass of water. Kyn was not as young as she used to be and carrying a baby around was very tiring. She did not remember being this tired with Harmony.
"Maybe I should sit down?"

She wasn't the sort to spend money, not in a frivolous manner, and yet Winterlynn had decided to go to the carnival. And this was frivolous spending to her. The games were clearly rigged and the food wasn't even all that good, not to mention unhealthy in most cases, but she felt she needed to get out and entertain herself in a way that didn't involve powering up to Delphi.
She had actually avoided that for a while as she'd gotten rather busy with classes, exams, and finals for her classes. It was during the down time, not that she'd been a knight for long anyway, that she'd come to accept it and understand what she needed to do. Having Camelot help her had helped her beyond just saving her life. It had pointed out to her that the two sides were had a clear line between her and one side, not her side, was clearly the bad guys. If she could be attacked as a civilian, as she had been, then how many other civilians were being attacked in the city? She had been saved by two people and so she was now the one who had to do the saving of others.
This acceptance didn't mean she planned on being some social butterfly, that wasn't like her, but it did mean that with summer coming upon them she would be powering up and seeking to help people who were in need of it.
Tonight though was a night to spend money she normally wouldn't. The reason for this? She'd done well on her exams and finished the semester with all A's and B's. It was a treat to herself, a pat on the back, which she felt she deserved.
Once she'd bought her ticket Winterlynn bypassed the games, they were all rigged after all, and the roller coaster for now was ignored. It was the other rides she was interested in.

Ashleigh had gone to the animals pens with a mother and younger brother, than met up with her father, older brother's, and a few of her cousin to try some rides but all she really wanted to do was get to the big top. Her mother said they would make it there soon, but soon was wearing along and even with all the patience the 9 year old had she could help, but to check her watch often.
"Mom," she said poking her mother's arm and giving her mother a pleading look, "the show is going to start soon. Please can we go now. The first show is going to be the best mom. I just know it."
Dee gave a look to her husband knowing their daughter would only keep pushing until they gave in, she was stubborn in that way, but her mother often said no she was just spoiled. Her version of pushing was almost always pouting or words that made you want to slap her. "Alright, how about you and I go see the first show and we can see another with you're brother's later."
Leah grinned and bounced, "come on mom, it's this way." She said grabbing her mother's hand and heading for the Big Top in the middle of the carnival. She was so excited because she was going to see all the performer and maybe they even had a before session where Leah could show off some of her own gymnastics skills. She was grinning and looking back periodically to mother excitement clear in her honey colored eyes as she dragged the woman along.
The reached the big top and record time and Leah was excited to grab pop corn, a flashing toy and make her way under the big top. She wanted to sit as close as possible and she wanted to talk to a clown and an acrobat.
Eliza was so excited to be at the carnival. It was so very very exciting, even more so because she'd convince her mother to bring William for the day while she did a little work for a farmers market in town. Eliza usually went to farmers market, but since it was probably the only time she would be able to go to the carnival with William for a long time, she begged her mom to let though go, not that Hannah would say no.
"Come on William," she said to her friend as she ran up ahead of him, "it's not that many stuff animals." She was teasing him, as he insist on try to win her something and it turned into a bit of a competition for the two on the boardwalk. William unfortunately ended up having to carry the bounty so he was lagging a bit.
"Next time, we bring a bag. I'm really wishing I had my own car right now, so I could drop this stuff off," he grumbled though still he smiled because he'd won the majority of them and Eliza's room was going to be full of new things.
"You have a bike, a dirt bike, a go cart, and a four wheeler. You don't need a car and you don't even have you're permit yet." she said laughing at her friend.
"So, I still need a car and I'm working on it," she said giving her a frown.
She smiled and turned and pointed to the house of mirrors, "Let go in there okay. It will be so much fun."
"I think I've got to much for stuff for that, but you can go in and I'll meet you on the other side," he said with an appologetic look. "We really should have done the boardwalk last, but at least we got lots of fun prizes before they ran out."
Eliza pouted, but nodded and then smiled, "alright. I'll see you on the other side. Promise to come look for me if I take to long though."
William nodded, "promise," he said watching Eliza enter the House of Mirrors before heading around to the exit to wait.

(( omg guys you post so fast xD )) Orah grinned as Gwen greeted her, rocking on her heels. "I would love to come with! The animals are one of my favorite parts, though its lots of fun to watch the acrobats too, and the clowns. Its been a long time for me too, since I went to the circus. Dad has taken us a couple of times, but usually only after I tell him we want to go since he tends to be absent minded about stuff like that."
The teen turned when she heard her voice, another smile appearing on her face now, though this one was a tad shyer than the last one she'd shared with Gwen. "Oh! Hello Arian! You came to the Carnival too, huh? Did you come alone?" Orah said as she glanced around to see if he had anyone with him. "You could come with us if, you know, you don't have anything better to do..."
Blinking, she looked back to find Gween talking with a girl she had never met. Wait, what was going on? With all the people and all the noise and lights, it was a little hard to keep track of what was going on.

Sirsce smiled happily when she realized the girl wasn't offended - quote the opposite, the shorter girl actually recognized her, though she wasn't sure how she felt about being spied on from afar. She could've simply been looking outside wistfully, thinking of all the things she could do in the warm, summery weather when she spotted Sirsce entering the Sugar Shanty. Or, she clung to the windows searching for anything to spy on. Though, she doubted the black-and-white-haired girl was of the creeper variety. Her friendliness suggested otherwise.
"Yeah, I brought all that fabric so I could, um, make something for the shop's owner! Well, his dog, I mean. I was gonna make Baldwin a little doggie bandana!" She desperately wanted to go into detail about the whole affair, but in light of the budding company, that seemed like a bad idea. "So um, I remember going into Padma's Bouquet before! It was like, totally nice in there and stuff! But I don't really know anything about flowers..." She sighed, and visibly deflated.
However, that moment of grief quickly dissipated when the girl brought up her sketchbook ideas. "Oh, yeah, I guess I am!" She bounced on her toes excitedly. "I really love to design clothes, and I'm not like, really good at it, but I've got lots of good ideas!" To illustrate her point, Sirsce opened her sketchbook to a tiger-themed 40s swimsuit with frilly trim. She proceeded to point out how the stripes were accented by the frills, and how the whole piece worked together, then backpedaled about how she hasn't crafted it yet or seen it on a mannequin so it may not work out as well as she'd hoped.
Then she realized she might be boring her captive audience. "So um, I'm sorry. I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Sirsce!" She excitedly extended her hand toward the shorter girl. "What's your name? And um, what're you guys doing here tonight?" It seemed a silly question, but she was genuinely interested in her decision to visit the carnival. It was such a grandiose scene; surely she had an interesting and unique reason to visit.
The night shone aglitter with the cries of excitement and wonder. The cacophony of happiness lurched through the air, bearing the same marked lack of grace as the humans that contributed to it. Each car sweeping along the shuddering tracks of the roller coaster sent a virulent quaking down to the foundations of the ride, threatening its oblivious assailants in a quiet, seething malice. Soon he would indulge that hate, that festering weakness buried in the supports of the roller coaster.
Bischofite knew with absolute certainty that he could not partake in such a joyous occasion alone, Painite had informed him of that herself. He considered requesting to stay with her, but she knew better. She carefully emblazoned a path for him, a private, creeping journey to lead him toward absolution. He would follow it until his feet ground to dust and his ankles broke under the pressure of his weight and momentous uncertainty. Still, he remained only at the start of that path, and Painite's simple guidance matched him with another capable entity, someone with a uniquely scathing past.
Someone whose features betrayed her self-confidence, her ruthlessness.
He liked her already.
"Captain?" He asked, cocking an eyebrow. His features splintered into a dark smile as the carnival lights offered him a better look at her. Striking, sultry, but she didn't quite compare to Painite. No, the beautifully scheming general held his starseed in her hands once, and still did in a more intangible fashion. He eyed her uniform, traced the fibers of her pants and the belts constricting her thighs, ran his gaze along the hood of her uniform to where it ended against her shoulders in a furl of cloth.
"Haf' you seen ze stars lately?" He looked skyward, and held his hands out as if to catch the rain on his palms. "How many of zose do you sink we can bring down wis' us tonight?" Falling stars granted wishes, correct? A falling star would signify the progression of his wish. A blackened sky heralded its completion.
Once again his gaze fell to her, unyielding, yet ever scrutinizing. "Tell me your plan." It was time to get started.

Leucite was taking his time, and getting to know the area he'd been assigned. He'd already made his third circuit through the rides and was working on his fourth, making a mental map of every blind alley and potential hiding spot he could see. He didn't want there to be any surprises when this party kicked off.
He was also trying to find a good target for his first starseed pull ever. It was a hard choice - much like any other special moment, it needed to be something special.
He was having zero luck.
Sighing, the Negaverse agent leaned against one of the benches set up for seating and watched people walk by.

“I’m glad you’re okay,” Arian said to the girl that had bumped into Gwen, his voice its usual quietness. “There’s quite a few people here,” another slight smile “I guess the animals are quite popular.” It was pretty crowded. Gwen seemed okay too if her cheerful greeting was anything to go by. Although it was kind of a coincidence about them all being there, or maybe not – it wasn’t every day that carnivals had their opening night. He nodded at Orah’s question at whether he was on his “Yes, I was hoping to get here earlier, but I had to go mail a package out” his smile became slightly wider as he nodded again “And I’d like to go round with the two of you, if you don’t mind me tagging along.”

Nope, this was going to be a total bust just sitting here. Moving back into the crowd, he let his eyes glance up toward the top of the rides. He was looking for someone in particular. Finally, he slipped into the shadows and clambered up the ride that held his superior of the evening. "Sir," Leucite snapped a sharp salute to the General who had taken refuge atop one of the many rides. "Any luck seeing anything worth going after?" He wasn't sure exactly how this General liked to be addressed - but he did know that he was a general for a reason, and though he seemed a bit on the scrawny side - he had Leucite's repsect. "Because I'm coming up with s**t nothing." Leucite wasn't afraid to admit he was still really new at this whole thing - so he wasn't even sure what he should be looking for.

"It's amaaziiiing," Cora sighed with a dreamy tone in her voice. For a while she just stared at the beautiful sight that was the Ferris Wheel until she noticed movement inside one of passenger cars. "Oooh, there is people inside those things!" she squealed of excitement and instantly regretted it. She shouldn't be so chatty! Cora quickly glanced around to see if anyone had noticed her. Luckily to her, no one did. She was about to sigh for relief when she sensed another energy signature of the agent of the Negaverse. This one had even stronger aura! Or was there multiple of them? As an reflex, her fur stood up some and her now somewhat fluffier tail swung couple times from side to side nervously. She sniffed air a little, trying to locate the source of those auras. Oh, how she wished nothing bad would happen tonight!

Gwen had little love for Richard, given the fact that he was a pervert, an a*****e, and had landed her into a heap of trouble with a certain Negaverse general. However, the same could not be said for his dog, and Gwen's heart melted into an even bigger gush of goo at the mere mention of Baldwin. "I see him bring him into work sometimes! He's so big and lovable! He doesn't deserve him..." Not that Gwen had any means of liberating Baldwin from his owner, nor did she really want to. Baldwin loved his owner and as terrible of a man as Richard may have been, he at least cared for Baldwin, more so than any other human she had seen. It was something. "It's okay, I don't know anything about flowers either. I just run the register, clean up the store and run errands. Easy work." Gwen beamed happily, rather liking her job and her income, and once she was done with the animal pen, she was going to waste it all on games, probably get Anandi a stuffed animal. When Sirsce introduced herself, Gwen returned the favor, "Name's Gwendolyn, but you can call me Gwen since I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other a lot later. We're about to look at the animals, care to join us?" She looked to Orah and Arian for their approval. "You don't mind more company, do you? With a larger group maybe we can squeeze our way to the front?" It didn't take long for Nyasa to find a secluded area to transform, and even as she powered up, she did her best to remain hidden. She watched as more and more people crowded into the lines for the roller coaster, doing nothing to give herself away nor the thoughts running through her mind right now.
And yet it seemed a lieutenant had spotted her, and she looked towards him as he approached. He looked new, and as far as appearances went, he certainly looked interesting. The feathers, the war paint... the gleam in his eyes. Yes, all new to her, and very, very interesting.
It was why she rewarded him with a response, despite how random it seemed, and she looked to the stars that he wanted to bring attention to. "I have. And what would I give to pluck every single one from the sky?"
And as far as her plan went? Mica could do simple, when she wanted to. What she liked was his enthusiasm, but what she didn't like was that there wasn't a single utterance of the word 'please' in his request. "When General Painite gives the order, one of us will shut off the power, leave some of them stuck on the coaster. I can teleport, so I will strike the ones on the coaster, while you can handle those in line."

Benitoite knew there were agents down below, mingling with the people, and hoped all was going well for each of them down there. Tonight would go well, he had that sort of confidence in Painite's plans, and he would help assure things went well.
So when he heard someone behind him he turned and stared with slate colored eyes. One of the others assigned to his area. Nodding his head he gave a smile. "Benitoite. Please, no sir or General. Titles make me feel old." Standing slowly the blond stood at a short five foot three inches in height. He was short, and he knew it, and petite in form. But he was also a formidable fighter and he knew that.
"Nothing which stands out but there is always someone worth going after." For energy draining. He didn't want to yank starseeds from innocent people, that was what senshi and knights were for. These words didn't pass the teenagers lips though. He kept his own morals and opinions to himself.
"Tell me, have you ever drained energy or pulled a starseed? Can you handle killing someone? As I've no doubt that when things pick up the senshi and the knights will arrive. You may very well find yourself in a position where you may need to pull a starseed." While he didn't like pulling starseeds from civilians he also made sure his new Lieutenants could pull one. It may not be in some big battle where they had to do it, it may be some lonely night on a roof top and they were in a tight spot. He needed them to be able to do it and have some level, even if only a small level, of comfort in doing the deed.

While Zia had sent her own glances Paris' way, he had somehow become her favorite in the group if just by virtue of the fact he made her less uncomfortable and if anything, his snark was something she could stand on even ground with. She far preferred it to Chris talking to her like she was a child and Pascal taking things away from her like she was... well, a child.
There was a part of her that tried to be aware and considerate of his weird phobias, but she was too busy reacting to the very human dislike of having things ripped out of her hands.
"Mmhm," She mumbled, quietly taking her compact back when he allowed her to have it and not even thinking of calling him out on it, trying her hardest to focus on the compliment instead, and even distracted herself by raising one unamused eyebrow at Chris and stating flatly, "You don't drink."
And then Pascal wanted to go geek out over the Ferris Wheel, or some other death trap, she already knew it. Even though she'd decried the rides earlier and obsessed nonstop over the Big Top the entire morning, the next words out of her mouth were almost totally unaware of that fact. "Oh, okay, rides sound fun!" If you wanted to splatter to your death at the slightest mechanical malfunction, but she left that part out, otherwise she wouldn't be blatantly feigning interest to appease him. "Oh well this whirlwind might be moving to fast, I'm not ready to meet your parents," Noah snorted. "We aren't even on a first name basis yet, Ms. Walter."
He pointed to something that had caught his interest earlier, but he didn't really want to dive into with the possibility of ending up stuck with a stranger. Nicole was still a stranger, obviously, since all he knew was she was apparently deathly allergic to him-- er, his pies, but for some reason the light level of familiarity was enough for him. "Well if your delicate constitution can handle it, wanna hit the roller coaster with me? I promise I don't barf easily."
