Aisa would do as she would, it seemed, and Eris... well, Eris had found some playtoys. Not that Invictus mind - it was nice to let her get her energies out in varying ways after all. He couldn't take care of all of it, after all. Never the less, he did not follow after her, instead brushing his hand over his chest as though he'd been disturbed by a fly, before looking to Cym.
Waiting.
Watching.
The hunters were working themselves up with so little... help.

Robert was here, because he had to be. And when s**t hit the fan, his weapon was summoned, because it had to be.
But, horsemen or not, he still just wanted a nap.

Al got a glance over Rep's shoulder and a smirk. "What you do is stay close and if possible defend. Watch and learn. Don't run off and get yourself murdered man. There'll be time for that later. This is only your first mission!"
At liberty to choose a target, Rep took in the ongoing battlefield, some of the horsemen already had their fair share of hunters engaging them, Tenya spun through the air somewhere nearby and hostile voices filled the air. Rep felt privileged to be able to move through unheeded and pick his battles. They weren't going to get out of here with bartering or treaties, they would have to step over the fallen bodies of these abominations and he would do so ******** gladly. Some of the hunters seemed to be investigating various objects, but at the moment, that wasn't his problem. Fighting was his problem and always ******** would be.
Something dropped out of the air overhead, seizing both his attention and Tracey's a flicker of multiple wings that made a deep dark jealousy bubble to the surface in Rep's thoughts.
<Cut them off.> the fallen angel hissed.
The creature was clearly a horseman - horsewoman, whatever - all the war creatures he'd seen had been female looking, even the one that had almost cost him his arm. This b***h had Bix and Ceres' attention but in turn they had hers.
He wasn't about to pass up any opportunity to back attack a b***h and darted across the sand - it was anything but stealthy given Tracey's scale - and when he swung it was as carefully as he dared. He'd already injured Bix once.

Wiggling inwardly, she shook her head. "It's okay. You moved up a notch, you're pretty strong," she argued softly, glancing at Jake's coat. "I got better too, sorta. Maybe if I watched people like you, I could get stronger too."
A curiosity bubbled forth within Stormy as she glanced at the pillars, though most interesting was the shadow it casted. Frowning a bit, she eyed the combatants and then edged along closer. "Any of this stuff ringing a bell?" she asked him as she grabbed the runic torch, crouched by the scythe-shaped shadow, and lit the runic weapon to see if it affected anything. Hopefully the sand kicked up earlier might help adjust the lighting.

Lex knew what his assignment was - help the guy doing the research. He was in the Life division, and knowledge was their strength, and though Death and Life had a bit of a rivalry? Lex still had to help Mark. Unstrapping the knife from his arm strap, the intermediate trainee sprinted over and cut Mark's arm, filling the wound with a silver light. Once that was taken care of, Lex turned to the Horseman attacking the Death assistant's set up.
"Really? You're going to cut wires instead of a Hunter? What kind of Horseman are you?" Lex jeered, Regal summoned as the man started backing away. "More of an a**, really."

Stormy's comment only earned a snort. "Please. I'm not someone you should be relying on." If anything, he was the LAST person one should be replying on.
He only watched curiously as Stormy lit the runic torch, as if trying to change the trajectory of the shadow. "Heck if I know, I'm no good at puzzles." ... Why was he even a death hunter?

Yes, Ceres had reason to be jealous. Pinning her boyfriend down on his back in the sand, Eris had straddled his waist on her knees, both hands locking around his wrists, her chest pressed firmly against his to keep him from writhing out of her grip. Although really, despite being female, that meant very little in the War Clan. And of her clan, she had become Heir for a reason. Her fingers were like iron shackles, leaning forward enough to grind the backs of his hands down into the hot sand beside his head, intent on wringing every wince, every cry, every scream from his throat.
And if she had her way, there would be screams. First his. Then Ceres', as she watched. And then when she'd at least rendered him helpless, she'd move on to her.
Tossing her hair over her shoulder, Eris laughed a little as Bix threw a few pop culture references at her, the Heir catching far more than he probably realized. The Horsemen weren't ignorant of the human world, as the Halloweentowners generally were; they spent a great deal of time there. Even more so since Eris herself had spent an immeasurable amount of time stuck on the Hunter's island. "Oh I do hope so," she purred in return, pulling his wrists down forcibly to hook them under her knees, pinning them at his sides. Sitting up a bit, the horseman of War lifted her hand idly, summoning her golden dagger in a flash of fire and smoke, eyes falling half-lidded, "If it weren't supposed to make her angry, this would be a fruitless exercise indeed~"
In her peripheral vision, she could see Ceres had gone perfectly still, the anger radiating from the dark-haired woman nearly tangible. Good... but not good enough. Playing with the dagger in her hand, she lowered her hand to cup his jaw tightly in one hand, tilting it back and forth, her expression turning thoughtful. "Hm... I think you'd look very distinguished with a few scars. Personally, I prefer burns... but we must be patient, mustn't we?" she asked idly, the question obviously rhetorical. Grinning ear to ear, she leaned down again, placing the sharp side of the blade horizontally just under Bix' eye, hard enough to begin to draw a little blood. "Or maybe I'll just pop out your eyes..." she hissed in his face, laughter bubbling under her breath.
Flicking her gaze up as Ceres approached, the Protector sat up again, keeping the blade firmly against the Albino's skin. "Ah, Demeter, darling, so happy you could join us," she offered in a warm, calm tone, unperturbed by the rage which had begun to burn just under the female hunter's skin. She was counting on it. Rage was fun, it was so predictable in humans, it played so well into her domain. So when the kick came, Eris was ready for it, arcing her body back to avoid much of the brutal blow, instead snapping her hand up to grab her ankle, grinning at her toothily. "In fact, I do mind."
Well, it seemed as if you would get your way, Ceres. One hard beat of her wings, and Eris was on her feet again, Bix free from the boyfriend-stealer's grasp. Unfortunately for her, the Protector had yet to let go of her ankle. Grinning almost maniacally, she gave the hunter's ankle a rough tug, beating her wings again to start moving backwards, dragging her over the sand. Had it not been for the shadow suddenly cast above her, Tracey looming above her in warning before the attack, she would have continued to drag poor Ceres around the arena... as it was, however, Tracey was everyone's saving grace but Rep's. Noticing the weapon's shadow just in time, she shifted enough that the giant blade merely grazed her side as she twisted away, jerking the female hunter's body along with her as she retreated a few feet away, now facing the new, redheaded threat.
"What's this?"
Curiosity lacing her tone, Eris eyed Rep with mild intrigue, taking only a second to glance down at the cut just above her hip. It was barely bleeding... but that weapon could surely do a lot of damage. Unfortunately, it also seemed like one that would move quite slowly, considering its size. But it wasn't the weapon which caught her full attention. In fact, it was the scar on his shoulder which really drew her curiosity, her eyes glittering a little before returning to his ocean-blue stare. "That looks like one of Mine~" she crooned, perhaps a little tauntingly, amused.Quote: HP: 146/150 Target: EVERYONE GETS A LITTLE PLAYTIME~ Damage: -- FEAR: Y3 Gambler's Chance, Y2 The Chill, Y1... "Roger that, Lightning," Gale muttered into the headset, the nickname rolling off his tongue without much thought put into it beforehand. He found a position low in the ground and crouched, holding the rifle at the proper angle and leaning his head against it, peering through the telescopic lens.
"Is he volatile?" Gale asked, his voice crackling across the waves to Stormy. "Don't go near him; you're still just a trainee. Not that I don't trust you or anything, but got anyone you can stick near to help you out?"
A flash of white caught his eye - then red - and Gale felt fury rise in his throat, along with a sense of sudden panic as dread settled into the pit of his stomach, hot and unpleasant.
Bix was down there. Bix was down there, with the horsewoman. Bix, his best mate, the one person that he didn't quite deserve, but who had always stood by him anyway. And Gale was too far away to do anything to stop them, too far away to run closer and to step in between them, too far away to do anything.
Just like last time. Just like the time before that, and the time before that, with Ben.
Except for one small detail.
On his stomach on the ground, Gale carefully shifted the rifle, pointed it at a certain someone, and pulled the trigger.
Bang.

Happily tearing the wires, Lex was ignored at first. These little snakes bit, didn't they . . . At length Shik paused and cocked his head at the hunter, eyeing him like a hawk. A sharp grin came up at the insult: Shaheen's endearment for him.
"That I am," he stated simply as he straightened, glancing at the odd silver light now surrounding the other hunter. Trivial. "And what are you, another toothpick? Perhaps you'll go farther than that other one I threw." Shik chose not to attack just yet, delightfully kicking up a small sandstorm with his wings directed at Lex and Mark.

"Burns? Sorry, someone beat you to the punch." He was still smug for the moment, tilting his head so she could see the burn scars that peeked up his collar into the bottom of his hairline. His challenging smirk only lasted a few seconds more. Bix winced, the barest of flinches as she squeezed his wrists like a vise. And then she shifted and his hands pinned to his sides. The hunter didn't like where this was going and Eris drawing a dagger had definitely affirmed the bad feeling. He froze, stiller than he'd been in his entire life, as the point of the blade came nearer and nearer to his eye. The blade pressed, the barest pinch, and the blood balled around the tip of the blade. No no not his eye. Then things just happened. Ceres was there, the horsewoman leapt, and he was too relieved to turn and look. Bix scooted, as far as he could in the dirt, wiped his cheek in relief and turned to summon his bow. "Ceres.." He rushed forward just to see her ankle dropped and Rep lay into the Heir. Bix came to his girlfriend's side with a drop's worth of blood smeared across his pale face. "Y'all right?" He extended his hand to yank her up and as soon as she was on her feet Bix fired into the horsewoman's back. ---------------- HP: 60/60 Dmg: 3 Target: Eris Charge: 1/3 Inventory: Runic Torch x1, Bandages x1

Some people just had all the luck. Robert had managed to take one single step forward before he paused, at the sound of yelling. He had enough time to look up, and then his shoulders sagged at the inevitability of his fate. Lucky slammed into his body, sending him skidding into the floor on his a**. He bumped once, twice, and a third time for good measure, before Robert laid down on the floor for the second time today and fell still, listening to the sounds of battle. They were sweet, they soothed him. They made it easy to forget the fact one of his own had just tried to break him in half. "Hi, Lucky." He grumbled. "I give it.. an 8. Didn't stick the landing."

There were a few things in the world Ceres had never contemplated would happen to her, certain feelings or ideas that she never wondered what it would be like to happen. One of those things was of what a stuffed animal might feel like when a little girl was dragging them around on the ground. Because that is what she currently felt like she was. The warm sand was felt through her coat, heating up her already sun-baked skin. Once again she tried to kick, and flail, as the woman continued to drag her around. She let out a wail as the woman continued to drag her around, eyes opening wide as she saw a familiar blade going for them. Somewhere, deep down, she was happy the horsewoman had not thought to place Ceres in the way of that blade, it would not have ended up pretty. She would rather not stain this sad litterbox of a desert with any more red than it already was. Thankfully, Rep had presented Eris with a even shinier toy. Enough to where she was let go, and a instant later back on her feet thanks to Bix. She was still winded, and honestly as she took a step putting pressure on that abused ankle hurt. It did not feel broken, but there was going to at least be some nasty bruising later. "Mfine." She mumbled, using her gloved hand and pressing it against the wound under his eye to stop any bleeding that was left. Face wounds bled so much longer than normal ones. She opened her mouth to answer when Gale's voice cut in on the headset. In spite of the rising anxiety in her stomach, Stormy couldn't help but smile a little at the nickname. "Uhhh, ten-four, Cloud--wait, Typhoon? Hurricane? I've got Jake here, so it's okay; I'm not looking for a death sentence today. King's, uh . . ." She squinted at Mengyao. "Far enough away that he's not a priority target, so don't worry."
Stormy turned to Jake with the same half-asleep look she always wore, though it seemed just a little more genuine in emotion when she spoke. "Then I won't rely on you. I'll just be supporting like I did before," the trainee answered simply. "And if something goes wrong, then it's on me."
She would have said more, but another horsemen appeared and Stormy had to stifle a whimper. Sweaty fingers pressed the headset as he brows knit with concern. "Gold queen on the scene. I-I'll keep you updated."
And--God, Lex was with one on his own; the anxiety just kept coming. "Please be careful, Mr. Lex," Stormy mumbled into the mic after switching the frequency. "Cap'n won't be happy if we both come back hurt . . ."
