Nahm studied Amphi intently as she angrily swatted down the rest of the bugs. She didn't like seeing others hurt, it seemed. That could be a useful trait. When she'd destroyed the rest of the nest, he applauded for her. "Awesome," he nodded approvingly. "You wanna go back to the camp and sleep it off?" he asked, not even adding a leer to the question. "Not giving up, I'm not gonna go through all that and then slink off with my tail tucked. But resting ain't the same as giving up." He paused, studying the hall. "Don't know if the portal will hold if we go back, though." HP: 15/30

Amphi blushed so red that she stumbled in her steps towards the labyrinth again.
"Ah maybe....we can sleep...after this...." She flushed taking a whole different meaning to it.
"Let's just try one more time." Amphi looked at him and then smiled. "and we can rest later! Not giving up, just one more time." And she was off into the labyrinth, the skitting and hissing of snakes whispering on them. The corridors were depressingly familiar, but no easier to navigate for all that. Nahm kicked a bit of crumbling stone at the asps in the pit below and turned around to seek a different route.

Thankfully Amphi didn't have to wait long, she didn't even have to sing as she exited the labyrinth and waited for Nahm to appear.

Nahm emerged from the maze with an array of tiny fang-marks dotting his clothes. He ignored this fact and nodded to Amphi. He would pretend his pride and his clothing had escaped the experience intact. "Made it." Stamina: 14

Amphi nodded to Nahm and reached over, squeezing his hand.
"Okay...Let's do this..."
She headed into the traps and looked around. The scuttling of bugs made her jittery but...when nothing happened, she looked over her shoulder at the Grue and smiled. Next Panel!

Another cautious step towards the panels and she looked around, waiting for the trap.
And with Bugs attacking, she was dropped into some undead's home. Screaming, her body disspiated and returned to the beginning. If Nahm made it back here without a item, she'd have to call it quits.
She just couldn't keep doing this....

Nahm winced at Amphi's rather uncomfortable-looking disappearance. He felt like he should go back and check on her ... but the fastest way to get back was to get through this gauntlet to the room beyond. Maybe there'd be something worth his time this time. The maze changed, after all; the contents of the treasure room might change as well. With a doubtful glance at the sarcophagus she'd been pulled into, he stepped forward. There was a soft, malignant whisper in the back of his mind, and he froze. The falling sensation enveloped him again, and he found himself deposited on his tail next to Amphi, who looked shaken and angry. Get out, something hissed in his head. "Something really doesn't want us here," Nahm said, and got to his feet. He chattered his teeth together, the sound of prey sighted. "Not too inclined to listen to its bullshit."
