Wash was looking at his feet, counting his steps and trying to enjoy some fresh air. He'd run out of things to do, and had found himself inexorably returning to his now-lonely dormitory when...
Voices. He looked up, squinting.
"Oh, hello Miss Madison." What was she shouting at? He followed her gaze up, up... "Jerry?" His pace quicked. "Hey man, are you okay?" What was he doing dangling out a window? Was something on fire? Monsters in the dorms again? His confusion cleared somewhat when Madison started shouting names. H. After his last conversation with the doctor he'd had the misfortune to overhear, he didn't blame the guy for bailing.
"Hold on, man!" He called, running up to stand just under the window. Maybe he could like...catch him.
Yeah.

"N-no! It's just-" Jerry hissed, still trying to keep his voice down, lest Melvin hear him inside. He clung for a moment in the cold foggy wind, trying to see if he could still hear the piano. His fingertips were aching. Alright, he needed a better position. Just... carefully... shift... to the sill and- His foot slipped as he was startled by another familiar voice, his legs suddenly swinging down with enough force to pop his fingers free of their grip. There was a brief fraction of a moment that seemed to last for several as the window drifted up away from him and he felt weightless as he swung frantically to try to grab a hold of something. Then, gravity remembered him, and he went tumbling down with a horrified howl. At least something broke his fall for the most part, the fall sending him and Wash both tumbling in the grass as he gave a yelp of pain.

"Je-"
He hadn't even had time to get his arms up before the gangly sun hunter lost his grip and came tumbling down the side of the building, knocking him to the ground. After a few seconds, Wash lifted up his head.
"Lord in heaven," he groaned, and spat out grass. He was laying on his back, staring up at the now-even-more-distant windowsill. He tried to make sense of the jumble of limbs and clothing and Jerry that he seemed to be trapped under. It was kind of difficult however, as he couldn't seem to fully open one of his eyes.
"You uh. You okay man?"

Jerry replied by a very distracted howl of pain as he rolled off of his Washly-safety cushion onto his back, gripping his arm frantically, "WHAT HAPPENED TO FEAR SHIELDS??" He moaned.
I can't exactly help with you JUMPING OUT A WINDOW! Roar snarled back.
Jerry gave a fresh groaning whimper.

The howling pain and shouting caught the Lifer's attention. Moving to Jerry's window, he opened it and looked down at not only Jerry but 2 other hunters. "Ate you kidding me, Jerry!"

"Quick, run!" Jerry choked through the pain, still cradling his wounded arm as he tried to get to his feet. Quote: first post from my phone woo!

"Oh, you don't have to call me 'miss'-" Madison began, and then suddenly, JERRY. "Holy s**t!" she yelped, scrambling to Jerry and Wash's sides. "Are you okay?! Both of you, either of you? Wait, run? No! No running!" She stared at Jerry, flabbergasted.

"Wha- Melvin?" Wash squinted up at the window with his good eye.
" 'm okay, I think," he replied to Madison, sitting up and trying to get his bearings. "Jerry? What's goin' on?" He felt a little like he'd walked into some kind of cartoon.

Jerry's life certainly felt like a cartoon. He whimpered, concentrating on the pain resonating from his arm. "I think its broken!" was all he could manage.
its not broken. Roar sighed. If he could have he would have been holding his temple in frustration.

Madison looked up at the window too. "Jerry... what..." Oh, fine. No. She just... she wasn't going to try. Instead, she whipped out her roll of runic bandages. "Hold still, Jerry," she sighed. "Wash, d'you think you could get Melvin down here? He's Life. Don't move, Jerry," she added, firmly. She would sit on him. Yes. She would.

"Sure thing, Mi - Madison."
Wash stood up and dusted off his knees. He wasn't much worse for the wear- besides feeling a little achey, and of course, the eye.
" 'Ey, Melvin, you might wanna come down here," he called loudly. Well, the other hunter HAD already poked his head out the window, right?
Besides, he didn't really feel particularly up to stairs.

And so, walking with his hands behind his back, Melvin left Jerry's room, shut his door, walked down the steps, out the side exit, and around the building at the mess that laid sprawled out on the lawn.
"You jumped out of a bathroom window." Melvin said when he was in earshot to Jerry. "I wanted to talk, and you JUMPED out of a window." His tone was both in sheer disbelief and frustration. "What is wrong with you?!"
He huffed, moving to kneel down beside him and inspect the damage.

Melvin touched above Jerry's injured arm and examined it. "Yeah. I expect jumping out of a window would put you in an excessive amount of pain. Should have thought of that before you decided to use that as an exit."
He continued to inspect his arm. "Someone can walk with you to the Infirmary. That is unless your legs are broken too?"
Considering it was a jump out of window, sometimes most of the damage would be fixed with just waiting till you Fear shield patched it up. Considering Jerry was a Sun (a group used to pain) and in pain meant he could have broken a bone. That complicated things, but he could walk with someone to the Infirmary.

Wait. What? Jerry had been fleeing from Melvin?! True, Madison didn't know the Life Hunter well at all, but he had brought her a flower and s**t, and... well... he didn't really seem that dangerous. Madison successfully resisted the urge to sigh heavily, though only just. "I've got bandages," she said, holding the roll out to Melvin. "I can help get him there, too, if need be." She couldn't even pretend to understand what was going on, but at least she could help pick up the pieces.
