The whine that came from Jove's throat almost tapered into a growl. Jack wasn't doing so well, and he had no desire to see him fall like Tybalt... But this monster was strong! He could take one more hit, at least, but Jack couldn't. Maybe not even with a round of healing. Even Frost was approaching his limit again too.
Jove had a moment of indecision, and then threw more of his tendrils towards Frost. He could only save one person, but Frost could save two!

Jove wanted to... he wanted to just... bite the monster. Bite it dead before it got Jack, and before it hurt Frost again, but if he bit the monster he wouldn't be able to heal them and keep them safe...
