"I have not yet met anyone who doesn't like you," Nahm said gravely. It was possible he just didn't know about it, but he kind of doubted that. Junko was just innately likeable.
"I am a giant weirdo," he agreed complacently. Her question made him tilt his head and peer curiously at her, though. It was a serious question. "Of course I have," he replied. "I fall deeply in love whenever I look in the mirror."

"Ah, Nahm. So young, so innocent, sweet and naive." Junko lamented over his 'plight', putting a hand on the boil's shoulder and giving him a comforting pat. "It must be nice to see the world through blood-colored glasses." She sighed, shaking her head with disappointment. Oh, Nahm. Sweet Nahm.
Nahm's answer was both expected and slightly disappointing...but overall amusing. Junko laughed, smirking up at the boil. "All I can imagine you looking in the mirror and seeing is a pair of glowing eyes and a huge white grin in inky blackness, kind of like a Cheshire cat." Despite knowing what he looked like under the robes now she would still forever imagine him that way. Nahm was an inkblot in robes, obviously.

Nahm doubled over with laughter, stopping to put his free hand on the wall for support. "Sure," he agreed. "All of that. Yep."
"I am certainly a very handsome boil," he said, eyes glinting with humor. "A perfect specimen. It's undeniable. I don't know how anyone resists my charms."

Junko nearly snorted in her struggle to stay serious while Nahm nearly killed himself with laughter. "It's okay, Nahm. I understand, I used to be just like you. Just know that I'm here for you, to guide you along your journey to adulthood." There came a muffled cackle from under her hair. It seemed that while Junko was doing a surprisingly good job at keeping up a poker face The Mistres was not so lucky. When Nahm claimed to be a perfect specimen Junko huffed. "Your hair is too short. I'm closer to achieving perfection, really." Junko flashed the boil a sweet smile and walked on ahead while the grue was busy laughing, humming cheerfully as she did. This was fun! Nahm really had been the perfect choice for today!

"I'm indebted to your assistance," Nahm snickered, recovering, and moved to join her as she went further down the tunnel. "But you know, if I grew my hair out long, I'd be a public menace. I'd be too beautiful for anyone to look at. It would be a terrible, terrible thing."

"Well that's what you have the robes for. The safety of others." Clearly it wasn't for his own safety. Not at all. "I am glad it was safe for you to disrobe at the party though. I did worry at first." And then the worry had become 'just keep your speedo on'.
Junko stopped to take Nahm's hand again when he caught up to her, swinging their hands between them as they walked. She dragged her fingers along the wall in search of when the meat moss would start. "Mm..are you hungry? I can make us lunch when we get back if you want." Whenever that was. She wasn't in a hurry.

"I gotta admit I was a little concerned. I could've put them back on if ghouls had started fainting left and right." Nahm took Junko's hand, chuckling. The walls were beginning to show signs of patchy growth, and up ahead a door was set into the side of the tunnel.
"I'm always hungry," he answered, nodding. "That'd be awesome. I loooooove your cooking."

"I think you made TG faint." Junko grinned and shook her head. Oh, TG. He was lucky she needed money badly. And networking. "You would've been banned from disrobing ever again, I'm sure." When they reached the door she checked it for any locks, making an attempt at opening the door. "You're insatiable like The Mistress." Junko pretended to sulk over this news. "I'll make you something when we get back. I want to see how far these tunnels go~." Okay so maybe an adventure could be fun and trauma free.

"And that would be a pity, wouldn't it," Nahm said, shaking his head in mock regret.
The door stuck only for a moment, then came scraping open with a squal of hinges. Nahm leaned in and flipped a switch. Bare bulbs flickered sluggishly to light at irregular intervals on the ceiling, some of them glowing dull red where they were covered with the organic stuff that grew in thick mats across the surfaces of the corridor. Further down, something skreeled and fled deeper into the tunnels.
"Isn't it lovely?" Nahm said, beaming as though it was all his doing.

Junko laughed but said nothing more on the state of Nahm's robe privileges. Instead she let him go to put all her weight into the door to get it open, squeaking and stumbling forward as it finally gave way and opened. When the lights flickered on she watched, giving a soft gasp as one by one they lit the tunnel.
"Very." Junko agreed quietly, stepping through the doorway and making her way down the tunnel. "It's so pretty! And the red glow the moss in the lights makes..!" She clapped her hands and bounced on her toes, turning back to Nahm. "I love this!" It was as fun as getting flowers!

"It's really peaceful," Nahm said, beaming. "You gotta keep an eye out for the crawlers and skitters, but they won't bug you if you don't bug them." He strolled down the hall. "I always liked small spaces. Reminds me of the lower catacombs back home, the way the halls are all narrow and twisty." He ran his fingers lazily along the wall; when his fingers brushed over a patch of the moss, it made a high, thin noise.

"Oh yeah? I'd like to see that sometime." His home sounded nice, and Junko always loved to see where her friends lived. Mountains, fishing villages, forests, catacombs? It all sounded so exciting, much more exciting than a simple little neighborhood. "At least now I know where I can find you if I can't find you anywhere else. You can't hide from me~." Junko grinned up at Nahm, wrapping a long tendril of hair around the boil's arm in a playfully possessive hold.

"Gotta run that by the elders first," Nahm said, giving Junko an assessing look, "but probably not trouble. It's always dark at home, gotta warn you."
He patted the tendril of hair, chuckling. "I don't usually try."

Oh, okay. Junko blinked and stood still as Nahm looked her over, curious about what was on his mind. What was that for? Was there something wrong with her dress? She looked down to make sure, tugging and adjusting where she felt she might need to. No..everything was fine. "That's fine. I'd have you as my guide, right?" She smiled.
"You could but I'd totally find you again." Junko turned away to look around the hall they were in, a fond smile on her lips. "I think I'm ready to go back." She hurried back to Nahm's side and gently tugged her hair off his arm to instead link arms with him. She then hopped up on her tiptoes to lean up and press a kiss to Nahm's cheek..er...she hoped that was his cheek. It was hard to tell in the darkness of his hood. "Thank you for bringing me down here, Nahm. Will you teach me how to pick the lock if I want to come again?"

"You would," Nahm replied, smiling to himself.
He offered his arm like a gentleman, solemn and courteous, or at least making a good show of it. "I'll teach you, he answered with a glint of humor. You might get better at it than I am; that hair of yours can probably outdo any mechanical pick."
He led her back down the hallway, looking pleased with himself. It had been a good outing and a suitably minor adventure.
