Ember stared at Scarlett as she turned her head to Frost as utter words in a strange language that she didn't even understand. When Bullet came over and asked if they were all okay, Ember nodded. She didn't want anymore disagreements, what that machine like wolf did scared her, and if she tried it again Ember would try her hardest to fight back and fend for herself. Ember walked around Frost and headed to where the other wolves were.

Bad Blood - Bullet Bullet nodded at Ember, glad she was unharmed. She sighed and let Scarlett attempt to talk to Frost with her strange noises. Shaking her head in disbelief she moved back to Kuro's side and laid down. With a yawn her head was placed on the ground as she waited for the others to arrive. Frostridge had been eyeing Ember with a suspicious, calculating glance, but her attention was abruptly diverted as words she was so familiar with suddenly filled the air- In amazement she turned to Scarlett, half wondering if she had simply gone delusional, but there was no mistaking the human-tongue. She gave a slightly dazed nod, barely aware of Ember passing by her to where the others were resting. The others seemed at the very least only slightly unnerved with the strange blood-wolf's presence and abilities. Frost's brow furrowed with discontent; her limbs felt fine now, but just thinking about her previous "battle" made phantom pain shoot through her afflicted joints. While she did not desire a conflict, she was not going to take the recent encounter lightly; if the potentially dangerous wolf proved a threat in the future, she would not hesitate . To protect this new group was the only real purpose she had left now. For now, she would do as she had always done, and quietly collect Intel for future reference and strategies. This blood-pelt was certainly a curiosity; Frostridge knew better from too many past experiences to count it was never a good idea to underestimate anyone. For the moment however, she was satisfied with letting sleeping dogs lie. She turned her attention back to the Twin-tails, her curiosity heightened. "How...speak?" she asked curiously, trotting over to where she had dropped her blade and re-sheathing it.

Scarlett moved to look directly at the cold wolf. Was she willing to tell someone her past? Was she will to relive the life she has ran from all these years? No. No she wasn't. Shoulders hunched and head held low her eyes felt like they were shooting daggers. An edge of anger crawled up her spine at the fact someone would question her past. No, it was a simple question anyone would ask. A simple question would get a simple answer, "lab" surprised with how clear the word came she shuddered. Memories flashed behind her eyes of what little she could recall. The white coats came, taking her away. Her sisters cried out to her for protection. There was never anything she could do. Cold metal tables, held down by claps while the altered her fur, skin, even bone structure. On the outside she was designed to be a 'seen-pet' a picture perfect dog of beauty for the rich and famous. Internally she was genetically reconstructed for guarding and protection, stealth and anger. Shaking her self hard she turned and went back down the hill. At the bottom she sat hard on her rump and looked to the sky. She did not want to remember the human village. [[Just so it is clear. Scarlett can speak some human words but it isn't crystal clear. She is able to manipulate her vocal cords so normal canine sounds can be interpreted as English. Bad Example, clearer than that as she was properly trained for it. Aka still sounds like wolf noises but can hear human words from it.]]

Scarlett Schoenheit Scarlett moved to look directly at the cold wolf. Was she willing to tell someone her past? Was she will to relive the life she has ran from all these years? No. No she wasn't. And Frostridge instantly came back to metal walls and humans in white coats, needles, bright lights- A old wave of fear and nausea struck her and new understanding made her feel something akin to pity for the Twin-Tail before her. So. She had been a subject of the human experimentations as well. The twin-tail did not wait for a reply, heading down the gentle slope and leaving Frost alone to her thoughts. She turned her attention to the night sky, but did not turn her back on the Blooded-wolf. Had to be careful around that one; her trust had shriveled from her as the pain before had made the strength shrivel in her leg and jaw. They were waiting it seemed for the rest to show, but none had so far... Frowning, Frost pattered silently over to her sleeping leader. She nudged her slightly with a paw, an awkward effort at physical contact. When it seemed she was stirring she stiffened like a soldier at attention. "I go...back. Look, find others. Bring." They were wasting too much time- and the others delay made her nervous.

Bullet rose her head as the wolf nudged her. Her tailed swayed happily to see the wolf trying to learn pack ways. "okay Frost. Take Scarlett or Streak with you just for backup" The wolf had proved her strength to them already but to much one on one fighting could leave the wolf worn out and unable to keep going.

XSK BlackStreak The pair quickly scurried their way up the hill to join the members that awaited. Kuro quickly joined his mate at her side. Giving her a gentle nuzzle along her neck he hoped the others would arrive soon so that everyone could be led to safety. To much time had been wasted already. "Crescent should have the others brought along soon. Let's just hope it's not to long."
Streak could see that Frost had gained a few scrapes awaiting for us. He walked over to examine her and make sure she was okay. As he neared his own light aura enveloped him reacting with simultaneously with Frost. It caught him completely of guard and he wounded why it happened all of a sudden.Frostridge struggled to translate what the Red-Fur had spoken to her, before finally reaching what she hoped was the correct answer. It was a wise decision to go as a team, rather then by herself. Who knew what might await them- She glanced over to where Twin-tails had gone. It seemed doubtful she would be a particularly strong fighter and even though Frost pitied her, there was still some part of her that did not trust her quite yet. Plus, it seemed she had designated herself as the caretaker of the child. "Str...Strea...k-uh." Frostridge stuttered, the name still uncertain on her tongue. With a nod that she had understood her orders, she trotted over to where the said wolf was. Hesitantly, she waited for him to turn his attention to her, her stance stiff and oozing with militaristic drilling.

Streak nodded and looked Frost in the eyes. He was ready to go and would make sure they got back in one piece. "Ready when you are!" He said with a smile.
Kuro looked around and spotted a small clearing that seemed to be large enough to keep hold those there. "We need to get out of the open. There's a ditch down there that we can rest in. It should reduce the danger until they get back." He said pointing with his nose over to the spot.

Ember nodded her head looking at her alpha that said that the ditch would be the best thing to be in to get out of the open. "Yeah plus if we get in an attack we'll have the advantage, we'll know when their coming before they get to us...well as long as we have guards posted out to where they can see any danger." She glances at Frost and Streak. She didn't want to have an enemy in the pack, but looks like things would happen like that.

Frostridge merely gave a slight nod, before setting off at a slight trot. She put her nose to the air and inhaled deeply; there was no threat her nose could detect on the wind. She set off at once, glancing back once or twice to see she was being followed. The found the path back down the mountain and were soon on the spread of rocky barren wasteland before they reached the forest once again. Traveling the entire way in complete silence, Frost felt slightly... shy, awkward even. It confused her as she was not usually so caring about conversation or bonding among team members before (Well, for awhile at least,), but for some reason... She cleared her throat, glancing back with a slight air of hesitance before she spoke with quiet, stumbling words. "...Talk?" It was a rather odd attempt at starting a conversation and even she was aware of it.

Streak kept up with her pace. Her word caught him a little off guard and he chuckled a little as he looked back at her. He could see she was acting a bit nervous. That was new for her. "Hey there!" It was kinda awkward himself. Streak was unaware that the little spark of momentary connection between them had actually allow the two of them to speak to one another. Whether it's in human tongue or wolf he wouldn't know. "I guess you.... can't..... understand everything.... I say, but I'll keep it light. Frost, ya know your kinda attractive ta me." He said with a grin and before glancing off elsewhere. Luckily Scarlett hadn't caught up with them yet to hear his minor confession.

"I guess you.... can't..... understand everything.... I say, but I'll keep it light. Frost, ya know your kinda attractive ta me." He said with a grin and before glancing off elsewhere. Luckily Scarlett hadn't caught up with them yet to hear his minor confession. Frostridge tried to fully decipher the rapid wolven tongue, but the full extent of what he had said was lost amidst her translating. She offered a slightly mixed expression of frustration at her own inability to understand, slight embarrassment at her obvious struggling with the language of her own race, and most prominent, pure, almost amusing confusion as she eyed his friendly grin, her head cocking to one side. "What mean...ah-autuh-rack...ah-tuh-rack-tive?" Frostridge asked puzzledly; her train of thought was cut off from hearing his reply however when a faint, familiar smell reached her nose. She jerked her head up, the present open, innocent-seeming blue eyes taking a distinct, cold calculating look as she surveyed the direction of the scent. "Bad-Flesh." she growled lowly almost as if to herself. It was still far off however; they had ample time to regroup with the others. "Quick, we go. Go." and she took off at a steady pace back towards the wolves they had left by the bleak river. Figuring out what he had said about her would have to wait till she could muse about it on her own time, or perhaps she would have to ask the Red-Fur the meaning of what he had said... They were nearly there, the scent having grown stronger as they drew close; she erupted from the underbrush only to find the space empty. The clearing beneath the trees by the river was bare, only a few stray wolf-prints or imprint where someone had laid down to indicate anyone had been here at all. Concerned, she put her nose to the ground and the surrounding area before giving up after a few tense fruitless minutes. There were too many scents crisscrossing here and there; and already, the wind was carrying whatever clue her nose might be able to pick up away, scattering it. No sign of struggle, no sign of where they had left; almost with a look of helplessness, she turned her attention back to Streak. Half of their team had gone missing, vanished without a trace she could detect. "Bad." she uttered darkly, the blue eyes like icy steel and deep water.

Streak pondered a bit trying to find an answer. He was at a loss for words. "This isn't good! We need to find out what happened to them and let Kuro and Bullet know." He looked at Frost and calmed down a bit. "Must... Tell... Red!" He'd thought he'd heard her refer to Bullet ad red once. Only wondering what could have happened between the time they left and now.

He looked at Frost and calmed down a bit. "Must... Tell... Red!" He'd thought he'd heard her refer to Bullet ad red once. Only wondering what could have happened between the time they left and now. She nodded once indicating she had understood what he had said at least near the end. "Try...call? If no, Red go, both." They should at least see if the MIA were perhaps in the area and had somehow missed them. If not, it was wise they continued to stick together; there was no telling what had happened and splitting up in the face of uncertainty was just begging for disaster. She contined to search for clues, but another scent was steadily growing closer. Altered, and there were at least three, most likely a small Swarm class group, still a fair distance away but coming closer. If there were more then five or six, they would be hard-pressed. The best choice was to run back across the river and lose their scent trail as most Swarm class were pretty stupid and nearly blind, finding their prey by sound and smell. The situation was growing more dire; should they risk drawing the attention of the Altered to find the others through the strange howling noise her race seemed to use to communicate? "Wait. Bad-Flesh near. Call missing, or run? St-uh-reek, choose." Frost would let him decide their next course of action, but he would have to make it quick.

Bullet was beginning to get impatient. She paced back and forth on the hill top. Her eyes switched between the remaining wolves as her thoughts were focused on those not present. The sun was high in the sky now, midday. Bullet was tired from the pressing heat from standing out in the open. The others could go to the small ditch and she would stand watch. She yawned and stretched out her back before laying down. She looked out the way they had come, waiting for a sign everyone was okay.wolf_lord77 Scarlett's ganna start going crazy without Loki around now XD We are ganna say that yall tried to fallow us but have gotten lost.
