The van returned through the gate and started towards the guild district. "Almost there to the pretty flower," the Chauffeur called. "Pretty dead flower," he mumbled.

Jacknife walked into the area. Not sure where he was heading to. Durem was as good a place as any. He hadent been there yet during this game, mabee there was something of interest there.
As he walked along it occurred to him how slowly he was going. "Damn... I want my jeep back."
As he walked the sun dried his clothes and his gun, which he put away. No need to appear hostile when he wasnt.

Jacknife walked through the area, his eyes closed enjoying the sunlight. He opened them again and looked around. He had managed to wander off the pathway as he walked with his eyes shut. That was... rather strange. He seldom lost his way. Ah well, not like he was going anywhere important anyway right then. This way should go to Durem too, as long as he continued through the west field.

Nascen went on roaring through now. Back to singing. This time, he was as a matter of fact actually singing what the radio was playing. About time.

Damn this thing is a b***h to carry.
Athan huffed as he stopped at the West Gate, looking around for a moment before he set the cauldron back down. At least he didn't have to worry about spilling the contents all over himself. Which left him open for a couple of options.
One of which sounded pretty good as it crossed his mind.
His vest wasn't going to be of much use any more, now that it was basically eaten in half by the acidic flower bud. He slipped it off his shoulder and then, with the aid of his sword, sliced a section of the vest off in a long strip. It wasn't more than two and a half feet in length, but it would suffice. He tied the strip onto one end of the cauldron, and the remaining side onto the other handle. He only had about two inches separating his arm from the cauldron when he slipped the makeshift strap over his shoulder, but it was better than using two hands to tote the thing around.

With the cauldron's method of transportation settled, Athan set about running again. It wasn't too hard to get out of the gate again.
It wasn't until he was about fifteen yards out of Barton did he hear the familiar wail of sirens in the background. Athan looked down at his fingers and started counting off what he could be put in jail for.
Yeah...he wasn't going to stop now. It was going to be him in a foot race against a squad car. He did have the terrain advantage, given the hilly nature of the ground. But it was still a car.
And with that, he took off sprinting towards the Upper West Fields of Barton.

And so, Shouyin came out of one empty residential area, only to enter another. Except, instead of parks and playground equipment, it was the streets that were deserted. He swore he caught a few shutters closing and drapes twitching from faces peeking through them, but it only put his nerves higher on edge, which did more help than harm in this kind of situation.
Paranoia was trying to grasp at the back of his neck though, so the half-golem sped up a little.

H8. ~
Spitting a small mark of distaste out the rolled down window, Shouyin found another CD on the iPod (Death From Above 1979 - You're a Woman, I'm a Machine) and let it play. Grinning slightly as the bass kicked in and the window rolled back up he pressed on the gas, and swung through the last turn before disappearing out the West Gate with a cloud of dust.
"Glad to be outta there eh Laz?"
b*****d was still asleep.

One day I devised myself a plan That should be the envy of most any man I'd sneak it out of there in a lunchbox in my hand Now gettin' caught meant gettin' fired But I figured I'd have it all by the time I retired I'd have me a car worth at least a hundred grand.
There were some parents on the street, relating their worries to one another.

I'd get it one piece at a time And it wouldn't cost me a dime You'll know it's me when I come through your town I'm gonna ride around in style I'm gonna drive everybody wild 'Cause I'll have the only one there is a round.
Although there wasn't a child in sight.
