"Sorry about my mom-" He said, walking into his room to find a bunk bed. "Are you kidding me?" He asked, giving a sigh. He found the girl to be asleep on the bottom, and narrowed his eyes in slight annoyance. "Really?" He gave a sigh and walked to his dresser, pulling out a pair of shorts and an old looking shirt. He headed into the bathroom where he quickly undressed and took a shower. Afterwards he changed into the clean clothes, and re-wrapped his knuckles, stopping to look in the mirror at his jaw, which looked a purple-ish blue color by now. He gave a frown but headed into the bedroom, finding it better to just ignore than fret upon. He climbed onto the top bunk, falling asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow.
In the morning James woke up to an alarm, and reached out to hit it, and instead found himself falling from the bed and onto the floor. "What the..." He started, before remembering that Ericka had changed his bad. 'She owes me.' He thought, annoyance evident upon his face. He turned off the alarm and headed into the kitchen, grabbing a bowel and filling it with Fruit loops, pouring milk in the bowl as he slowly started to wake up. He sat at the table and ate slowly, his right hand throbbed lightly with pain, and he could tell that the bruise on his jaw would hurt if it were touched. ━━━━━━━ ⋅ ━━━━━ ⋅ ━━━━━━━ ▬▬▬ ▬▬（ ♪ ）▬▬ ▬▬▬▬

Ericka Neuschwanstein
While James was up and about Ericka was actually out and about as well. She wasn't anywhere in the house and was actually outside exploring. But to tell you the truth she wasn't more than a couple of blocks away. She wasn't in her school uniform and was enjoying what the humans call it a 'weekend'. She looked up and figured that James would be up by now and began walking back. In her mind she wanted to ask him what happened last night. She remembered him having bruises and stuff. As she walked back into his apartment, taking off her shoes, and her noises from within the kitchen. Peeking to see James up. "Oh...Morning.." she said hiding around the corner of the door.

"G'Mornin'" He said, placing his bowl in the sink and rinsing it out. He gave her a strange look as she stood peeking around the door. "What's wrong with you?" He asked, walking over to her. When James waked up to her she saw the bruise on his jaw and looked on his hand. "No I haven't eaten yet.." she said staring at them and went looking into her shoulder bag. She pull out a spray motioned him to come closer. She covered part of his face with her hand so that she could spray it on his jaw and then grabbed his hand and sprayed it there. "This is an elixir from back home and will heal any bruises...but how did you get them James?" she asked him after she was done.

"Wow, that's a pretty useful tool." He said, running a hand along his jaw. He looked away from Ericka before he spoke, and walked into the kitchen, grabbing a bowl and the cereal, setting it on the table for Ericka. "Since my mom's a bit... Off... When it comes to things, I got a job to help pay for bills." He said. "But... I got fired." He looked over with a strained smiled. "So I started doing what I do best- Underground fighting. The winner of fights gets a portion of the bids, so I can use that to help pay the bills." He said. "And so, that is how I got these injuries. Just... Don't tell my mom. She still thinks I have that job." His gaze shifted from her again, and towards the window, his eyes watching a bird as it landed on the sill, the small animal hopping around and inspecting the area. ━━━━━━━ ⋅ ━━━━━ ⋅ ━━━━━━━ ▬▬▬ ▬▬（ ♪ ）▬▬ ▬▬▬▬

Ericka listened as James explained how he got the bruised. Needless to say she wasn't happy about this kind of job at all. "That sounds really dangerous, James. Why didn't you just get another job?" she asked in a worried tone. She sat down in front of the bowl of food not very hungry now. She wondered that she had to get a job too. Because not many human can just magically do things. "Why don't we go look for one we can do together James?" she said looking at him.

James said. "I've only lost twice, and I've won all the others." Here, he gave a smile. "And there's rules in place to keep it fair, and make sure that we don't get too beat up." He said. "Besides, I've never been good at keeping a job... I was fired for being late from my last one. But with the fights, you don't need a set time." He said, giving a smile. Ericka frowned. "But even so...Papa...My Papa always said that fighting is never a good thing. Because it always leads to more fighting." she said, "Well, if we both get a job together I'm sure you won't be late. I'll wake you up early too. Heck I'll even teleport you James. I do not agree to fighting." she said pouting and eating at the same time. Though they were small bites that she was eating.

He said, a smile on his face. "Oh wait, I already do." He stood up at that giving a laugh, his eyes studying her. "About my mom..." He started, his laugh gone, and his tone now serious. "My father died in a house fire when I was seven, and that was when she started to lose herself." He said, walking absentmindedly around the kitchen. "She started talking to herself, and would constantly forget things. She still has times when she can act as she used to, but they're rare." He said, stopping his pacing and turning to look at Ericka. "When I was working, there would be times I had to stay home with her, to help her get to work, and keep herself in tact. Ericka frowned. Listening to James it wasn't a very fun story to listen to. "I see." she said. "He could have told his boss, they could have understood." she though sighing to herself. Ericka balled up her fist. "I'll make sure I'll be able to help you and your mom." she said getting up and putting her bowl up. "I'll see if I can help your mom get well. Even if it's only a little bit." she said smiling and grabbing her bag and heading towards the door. "I'll go look for a job now!" she said opening it up. "Wanna come?" she asked him.

Ericka sat down in her chair. "Well, I don't have too much talent on my own. But if I was looking for something I can do I guess...i can crochet." she said. "At least thats what you humans call it." she said snapping her fingers and yarn and knitting needles popped out of nowhere. "I can make them into whatever I want." she said smiling at him.
