West moved to block the shadows as Tess and the butterfly ghoul attacked. The creatures bit into his FEAR quicker than he could knock them away, and he shouted angrily as he shook them off. He was tempted to pick Legs up and throw her at the invaders, but he held still, standing between the split ghoul and another assault.

The grunt from West alerted the winged ghoul and her lower half that their window of opportunity was limited. With a quick declaration of: "Perfect timing!" to the demon, the undead ghoul unceremoniously grabbed Legs by the ankles and swung at the shadowlings. She grit her teeth at the impact, inwardly cringing in pain as she cleaved a path among the shadowlings.
"Did anyone think to bring their Eyephones or Skellular phones?" Tess yelled out to the group, wishing she had brought hers when she fled her room.

There was a lot going on despite the small group and the witch was all smiles and friendly waving at various people. There were a few she wasn't familiar with and was quite determined after the fight to go introduce herself to, should she be given the opportunity. As optimistic about this endeavor as she wanted to be, she knew that situations like this had a way of snowballing quite quickly. And terribly. But the witch stayed back near her two zombies, nodding vehemently when Mort mentioned her fear. She was just about to snatch the card from the air when-- "LITTLE SISTER VICTORIAAAAAA~" Momentarily forgetting there was a fight going on, the witch rushed over to the ghost ghoul and pulled her into a tight hug. "My word, are you alright? Are you hurt? Nothing has gotten to you, has it? Oh I am so glad you are alright!" It was a bit of a shame that the witch had gotten caught up in her own personal woes that she'd not yet had the time to dote on her little darling. Not properly, at least, and now was not the time for proper doting either.
With a frown the witch let Victoria go only to step in front of her and summon the aforementioned card. As there really were no time for dramatics today, the witch merely tossed the card out into a rather thick bunch of shadowlings and watched with a smile as the skeletal Death Knight burst into life. The knight gave a tiny click of his teeth before he brandished his lance in a swipe that took out a number of little black creatures, and sensing that this was rather fun, he even went so far as to stab a few. Were it possible for his already prominent display of teeth to become more apparent, it would have, but as it were he only nodded once at his witch and returned to his previous state as a tarot card that filed neatly back to her. Belladonna could not contain her joy and whirled to Mort, a bright smile on her face. "You always have the most wonderful ideas!" She chirped with a clap of hands before she paused to look at the ghoul with half her body running off. She seemed familiar, but the witch was not yet prepared to put an incorrect name to her. She would, however, chat! "Ah, I am afraid I left mine in my room... But I do not know of a single person we could call to fix this!" Correction: Not a single person that she trusted implicitly that could fix this. Much better.

He had ran from his dorm, the little yellow eyed thing freaking him out enough that he decided ti was safe to leave it in his room. It would go away right? .....Hopefully.
Even better, what exactly was going on with that dream? Why had it seemed so...important?
His legs had carried him far from the dorms, seeking refuge somewhere. Only there was well and truly no refuge for him, or anyone else apparently.

They were everywhere. Well and truly EVERYWHERE.
"What the Hell is going on!?" He cried to no one in particular, pupils dilated and mouth agape. These heartless looked different than before, larger. The one in his room...was it a baby? Were its parents nearby? He sure as hell hoped it did not go crying for its mommy now, were these all its relatives?
Not that any of this so much as mattered, these things needed to be destroyed. One in his room... sure whatever, call an exterminator. Thousands of them on campus? Something was wrong, and there were not enough hands to be hired for it.
His pause to think this over was a error in judgement, because not even a second later the swarm decided to turn, and part of it broke off to attack. Call it reactionary, but he swiped out at one of them after using some....rather profane language, dissolving one and harming a second in the process.
"Were they always this big??" THe kitsune called to no one in particular.

The majestic towering four-foot form of the Amityille school secretary took a second to figure out what was going on. One: there was a giant hole in the Gymnasium. A giant black hole of teeming shadows. Two, there were students fighting the shadows. Three, there were students fighting the shadows.
It was clearly all the student's fault.
"Detention!" Arel managed, tugging his scarf away from a particularly voracious shadowling, "Detention for all of you once you get rid of this problem I'll-"
- And then, he was promptly swallowed up by another mass of shadowlings.

Moments later, all the shadowlings pull back.
It is silent. And then, where the floorboards were, where the bleachers should have been, the slime tank, even the opening to Red's office, odd, bright colours began to bleed through all angles, all directions. Brilliant violets and reds, blues and sunset oranges that turned everything from odd, yet questioning reality into an entirely lucid dreamscape.
Yes. They were dreaming. That would make sense as to why things were like this.
From the center of the dreamscape was a single door:
A fine mist emitted from the door before it popped open, revealing-
The second they emerged the colour from around them pulled back out, sucked into the door as it disappeared with another pop, leaving only the minipets behind. The minipets and the shadowlings
"We are here to help you!" One of them suddenly, rather loudly, chimed in. Yes, they could talk. Yes, this was happening. "Believe in us and make your cores shine bright! We will defeat the shadowlings together!"
Yes, this was really happening.

He blamed Arel. Minis of... queer colors began to buzz about. Two of them looking rather familiar. "HI DADDY!" That was not what he was. He'd never sired any pups... and these were minis pets. "Daddy we're going to fight!" The White one fluttered. "YEAH YEAH!" The Black yelled.
Frost just blamed Arel for everything.

Apart from the secretary showing up, Jericho wasn't really sure what to make of it when one of his minipets decided to show up. It was a lot bigger and quite frankly... it was colored weirdly. Not only that but... they talked?! The dragon felt like something was wrong here.
"Let me help you! I can defend the others!" the little levathia chirped before rushing off.
"...Alright..?"

In any case, the levathia that had shown up went off to the aid of Frost a little more.

Aymet was confused by the magical light show but moved to attack the swarming shadows anyway.

"Dog...?" Aymet asked from his metal and bone heap on the gym floor.
"IF WE BELIEVE IN OURSELVES WE WILL DEFEAT THEM!" it chirped from about six feet up.
Oh. He hadn't tripped on Dog. He'd tripped on Dog's foot.
After a moment of thought, Aymet procured a bone from thin air, which radiated FEAR. The babbling voice of the Invisible Dog went strangely silent. Aymet glanced a particularly large swarm of shadows and grinned.
"Fetch!" he shouted, and lobbed the bone in the middle of the chaos.
Something large and invisible smashed into the shadowlings like a battering ram of joy. Aymet, meanwhile, looked around to see who else was stuck here - and what was up with the minipets today. "...Remi?"

After his rather hilarious trial by fate, he looked up (after faceplanting) to see two of his minipets staring back at him.

"Ah, I'm sorry, but I do not have a phone," Victoria replied with a shake of her head, her eyes widening in surprise when the ghoul asking for a phone split herself in half. That was... That was... So cool.
Her attention, however, quickly returned to her well endowed "older sister", eagerly returning her hug. Of course, she took the opportunity to lay her head down on Belladonna's chest too, even if it was only for a short second or two.
"I ran from my room," She explained as she pouted, clearly distressed, "They ate my mirrors!" She managed to save the most important mirror or all, but it took a lot of salvaging to gather that collection!
When the minipets appeared to help, she wasn't sure to feel relief, surprise, or doubt; when could minipets talk? Besides, the only minipet she had in her room was a Branow Blood that had followed her home a long time ag-
"I'LL HELP!" Something yelled at her from below where she was currently hovering. Looking down, she saw her Branow... Except it was now colored pink and purples and all those other vibrant colors, "HERE LET ME HELP!" Without another word, the thing ran towards a boil, and latched onto his leg.
