Sibyl caught the wave and followed the older ghoul's gaze to...Zar! She gasped, clapping her hands with excitement and turning back to the ghoul introducing herself as Lily. "Are you Zar's friend? Are you a student here too? Your suit is so pretty! Marzie wouldn't let me get two pieces." Jealous.

It had been hard, maybe almost impossible to not have seen the flyers littered around campus. Throw in his determination to get out and about more this term, and it meant that Aedan was definitely going...even if he wasn't overly keen on water. He'd also slipped a flyer under Christiane's door, although he suspected she might not show up. At all. At least it was a hot spring, right? It might be something he hated, but he had to admit hot water was far better than cold...and he wasn't honestly planning on doing any actual swimming, anyway.

He'd opted for a simple pair of swim trunks--they were red, with orange striping down the sides, with some light flame-patterning along the striping. He'd thrown on a plain black t-shirt with them to make his way to the hot springs--and found himself glad that there were a number of other students also heading that direction, as the flyers...hadn't been as clear as one might have liked.

Ah well, at least there were other people to follow... As he stepped into the cavern, Aedan looked around curiously, taking in the dim lighting, and the abundance of glowing...accessories that graced a number of the other students present. Nodding slightly at the company-as-a-whole, he headed over to the refreshment table, giving the water a sizable berth.

Aedan stopped, mid-chew, as he saw Christiane walk in. So she had decided to show up. Unfortunately, his surprise at her presence meant that he choked on the bite he'd been about to swallow, coughing awkwardly, his eyes watering slightly. Wonderful. Looking around discreetly, he hoped no one else had caught that moment of gracelessness, before giving Christiane a small wave, and a (slightly sheepish) smile. He hadn't had a chance to catch up with her properly about how she was liking the school, and her classes to this point, and found he was curious.

Aedan blinked. "I had somewhere else I had to be--otherwise I would have stuck around!" He sounded a bit defensive, narrowing his eyes slightly. "And no, I hadn't heard...but I'm sorry to hear that--the spider is probably still in counseling..."

He trailed off, the slightest of smirks toying with the corners of his mouth. "You get used to it--I still get lost fairly frequently, but I've learned that, when in doubt, look for a number of students who seem to know where they're going....and follow--it usually works out okay." At this, he shrugged--so far he'd never gotten so lost that he wasn't able to eventually find his way back to the dorms, so he'd long since decided that would have to do.

"Aside from your altercation with an 8-legged critter, how have things been going?" He said after a moment, tilting his head slightly to the side. After all, they'd been friends..well, an awfully long time, and he hadn't really had time to show her around much, or anything...

Jove's ears swiveled when he heard familiar voices. Junko was talking to someone, and Demi had just shouted something. But when he turned around the first person he noticed was Demi. And that... thing he had with him. Was it a table? A weird bench?

The pup trotted over and was not shy about examining it, walking around both the hound and his... thing, and hesitantly poking the board as though it would tell him what it was. He tilted his head, and then looked up at his friend.

Wherever Damien went, it seemed Jove was not far behind him or ahead of him in this case. The hellhounds ears were alert when the foxfire decided to investigate the item he was carrying. "Ever the curious one huh?" he stated with a chuckle, ruffling his buddy's hair and motion him to follow as he walked down to the shore and into the shallow water and put the board down.

"Hop on." he directed him, pointing to the board and stood waiting behind it. "If you want to know what this is, this is the way to learn." plus he was sure that Jove would get a kick out of it.

he hoped.

Jove trotted at his friend's heels into the shallow water, his eyes widening as he realized the board floated. It was just like a rubber duck in his bath tub! His tail wagged, pausing only when Demi told him to hop on. Well, he did want to know what it was, so he did just that.

The pup tentatively put his hands on the board, pushing on it slightly as if to test it's strength. His ears perked forward. For a moment that board was his whole focus. Then he "hopped on", using his hands on the board to push himself up in a parkour-like jump, and get his feet on the board under him.

However, his feet were wet, and the motion that would have landed him safely on top a bench or table was not so suitable for a surfboard. His feet slid out from under him. The pup barked in surprise as he fell, and striking the board with his butt only resulted in dumping him head-first and upside-down into the hot spring water.

He spluttered to the surface, his hair plastered to his head, ears soaked through, and gave Demi an expression of utmost bewilderment. What in Jack's name just happened here!?

"I enjoy recreational time," Nahm agreed lazily. His eyes followed Zar's look to another newcomer, an elegant ghoul in a lilac swimsuit, and he gave her an appreciative once-over and a smile. "Excellent taste," he said. Whether he was referring to Lily's choice of swimwear or Zar's choice of friends wasn't clear.

He turned to grin at Terra as she expressed surprise, replying, "Hot springs do tend to be hot."

Jove's display of balance and dexterity drew a laugh and a round of applause from the grue.
