Without missing a beat, the man leaned back and gave a loud, barking laugh.
"Good on ya, sonny! No one's told me a joke that clever in years. We got more than enough security to handle ourselves. You want info, you give info. No hagglin' on that. So tell me, kiddo, where ya from and who's your master? Or perhaps you've got some juicier information for me? Give me your best shot, kid, and let's see if it measures up." His rapid-fire pacing left no room for questions or jokes; there were simply no holes to interrupt.
The man's eyes glinted enigmatically. A machine let off a short puff of steam on the far side of the factory as the man tending it switched out with someone else. Drills whirred and hammers banged in the cacophony of the factory floor below.

"My master's name is Yasuke, he's a blind smith that consistently makes weapons and armor comparable to the best the Takumi smiths can achieve, we're from one of the smaller towns near Takumi, we decided to leave the area since some village shinobi keeps buying out all the raw materials and putting everyone out of work. Most of the people in our town and the other small towns nearby have left the area, rumored to be joining the United Hidden Villages. We decided it was probably a decent idea to move this way as well, to see if we could find new sources for supplies and new contracts, as well as pieces of higher technology to improve both my and his craft." Thinking he should show some example of what Yasuke could do, Hiroto pulled a smoke pellet out of his pocket. "We also make things generally used by shinobi, like this smoke pellet, my master developed a method to make them far denser than usual, making it possible to cover a much wider area in a smokescreen....I'm sure the method could be replicated with different substances."
"That's a pretty tall reputation there, but that's about all I'm looking for for something this small. Yeah, we store armor and the likes here. Most of it comes from the minor Villages, usually funneled through Otogakure since they've got enough weight behind 'em to protect the shipments. For a moderate fee, of course. That's the word on the grapevine, anyway. You people inspect the goods before we ever see them, so we don't have any ledgers to prove anything."
At the end of the last sentence the man's voice took a turn for the bitter, but quickly bounced back:
"So, that all, kiddo? Time's money, money's time."

Thinking as the man spoke, Hiroto took mental notes of where the armor was coming from. Likely produced in the minor villages and shipped through Oto, he commented internally, nodding as he listened. When the man asked if that was all, Hiroto decided to try getting a little more information, "Any chance you could give me an idea of the best way to get to Otogakure? I'd figure their main gate is locked up tight with the tensions between them and the larger villages. And maybe clue me in on where a few of the smaller villages are? I don't have any other really good info to offer, but you're free to take one of the smoke pellets I have for reverse engineering and mass production if you'd like as an exchange. It's not much, but could make you guys some extra money down the road." The young man stood there still holding the high-density smoke pellet, bumping it between his knuckles.
The man looked unimpressed until the visitor offered up a new smoke bomb, at which point the man reached into a desk drawer and pulled out a thick wad of paper--a folded-up map. He extended his empty hand toward Hiroto, gesturing for the smoke bomb while fanning himself with the map. Usually this kind of a trade would be a gamble, but given how relatively easy it would be to get the info otherwise, there was very little risk involved even if the man was getting duped.

When the man reached into his desk and pulled out a large map and held his hand out for the smoke pellet, Hiroto walked closer to the desk, laying the pellet in the palm of the man's hand, "Here ya go.". He then stood near the desk waiting for the man to either lay the map out and explain or at least simply hand the map over. "So, about that info..."
The man's slender fingers wrapped around the smoke bomb and slipped it into one of his pockets. At the same time, he slapped the map down on the table.
"That's a map of the UHV territories, with a map of the continent on the reverse. One of our guys marked down a couple of military bases after he had to go to them on business. I don't know your motives, but if you're interested in armor, check there. Pretty basic stuff other than that. I think someone made a couple of notes about food on the different Villages, so if you want to know how the seafood is in the Mist, there's that, too."
The man leaned back and ran a hand through his greasy hair. His expression said that he was finished, and gave away no hints at his knowing anything else.

Standing and watching the map as the man explained, Hiroto nodded slowly. When finished, Hiroto reached down, folding up the map and tucked it into his pocket. With a quick nod and a slight smile, Hiroto said "Thank you for your time, sir" He then turned and left the office, walking through the halls of the building before reaching the door and leaving the factory. Elizabeth wrapped her knuckles against the doors of the factory. She took a step back; being a bit smaller than most but in her full military fatiques. Her left coat sleeve was moved a bit so that it concealed her entire hand just in case. "Oi. I request access to your tools for a bit. Just want to work on my skills with glass blowing. I wont cause any issues." she said through the door to whomever was listening.

Holy Rinaku
Having contacts here was serving the little lady well. With the kind of reputation that Tiago had, business partners in this part of town were well received. A slat opened on the door, showing just a pair of heavily scarred eyes. "Eh? Yoos dat Tiago lady? Fine, yoos is good, come on in." Slightly accented, with a tenor voice, the man's thin, wiry frame was overshadowed by his large suit and gangster apparel. Popping open the door, the guard would shut it tight after she passed.

Elizabeth took time to get to know all the various players in the area, elizabeth would set herself up near the various workers in the workshop. However she would need a few things before she got started anyway so the first thing she decided to get was a key for the factory and to make sure the door guard knew her. She wouldnt stay long in doing so and before long would be back to the door and heading towards market. She had s**t to do.

Whise slowly walked up to the factory gates, he decided to run here so he was sweating which helped him look nervous. He looked at the guards with scared eyes. He stopped a couple feet away from them or whenever they ordered him to stop."Hi, um...I'm Jean...and I was wondering maybe...if there were any manual labor jobs available? I could um maybe speak to the foreman or chief of the factory about?"His voice was a bit soft, but would be easy to understand to the guards. His clothes appeared a bit ragged and dirty. But it didn't look like the boy avoided working hard. So would probably be a good worker.

"Everyone starts at the bottom, kid," one of the guards told him. "Unless you've got some special skill, you'll start off sorting the materials. There ain't no interview for anything that easy. What's your name?"
In the background, a cart full of heavy-looking rocks trundled toward the open door of a warehouse, beyond which countless masked workers sifted through a sea of stones. At the back of the warehouse, another cart was filled with whatever passed inspection before presumably being moved elsewhere for further processing. This appeared to be the job to which the guard was referring, and it likely wouldn't look too appealing to someone who wasn't strapped for cash. Indeed, all of the visible workers were more disheveled than the average man on the street, and quite a few of them were showing the symptoms of hard drug use. Very few wore gloves or any sort of protective gear aside from the masks, which were the same cheap, disposable kind handed out in bulk during disease outbreaks. Getting into the main factory would probably be healthier in the short term, but with no easy way of seeing into it, that idea was a gamble.

Whise kept up his scared act but didn't go to far with it."Um my name is Jean Ernest, and um special skills? Well I apprenticed under Kaza the forgemaster in takumi for a while. So I can make armor and weapons and stuff."He responded in a nonchalant manner as if he was unaware how big apprenticing under one of the greatest forgemasters in Takumi was. Noctis had never even touched a forge. But he had been to Takumi enough to know who makes and sells most of the blades that come out of there. If something would get them to budge and initiate a meeting with the chief this would be it. Whise also began reading their emotions to judge how they were reacting to his words. Unfortunately he could only sense negative emotions. So a lack of sensing anything would be the only way to know if it was going well.

The guards stirred at the mention of Kaza, the subtle aura of negativity hanging about them previously now becoming muddled. They glanced at each other through their half-masks, exchanging a glance of what could only have been uncertainty.
"Kaza, eh?" one of them muttered, half to himself. "That guy's the real deal..."
"Hey, Jean Ernest was it?" the other asked, leaning in with an air of belligerence about him. "You got some sort of documentation for that? I got half a--"
"Enough," a grumpy voice echoed over to the trio, causing the guards to stiffen up and stand at attention. The source of the voice wasn't immediately visible. "If he's studied under Kaza, let him make some armor plating and prove it. If it's crap, throw him out. If it isn't, we'll see him. It's really not that difficult."
The guards shouted a hearty and loud "Yes sir!" in unison. They saluted the factory, then turned back to the one calling himself Jean Ernest.
"That was the man himself, Boss Shirley," one said. "If you can produce a quality piece of armor plating, we'll take you up to speak to one of the bosses. You got a forge you can use, Jean Ernest?"
