Patmos of Endtimes ... lol Little Pecker is good. " Ahh." He grinned, relieved by the revelation (and he hoped dearly it wasn't a container for more frogs or something). " Yes - rather conveniently, I specialise in mixing things that slosh in Rise & Co, so we can certainly talk. May I have a look?"

Above giggled at her own misjudgement. "He tries to eat things he shouldn't, but if it makes him happy," she shrugged. Feeling like he was being watched, Chaser ran between Fade's hooves. "Well he tries to go after my dragonfly. Other than that, he is actually pretty good." She dropped the fruit into the pile that was starting. "So what else do we have going on?" She knew soon she would need to have the best understand of a lot of the on goings in the shop and what they had to give. A ticket for the MAIN COURSE! Maxx D I've got some questions about her levels of technology that would go into this, and Rejam's been pretty busy lately. Can I PM/IM you to discuss? Tipsy slipped off the log with excitement. "Certainly! I think you'll like this." She cracked the malleable wax seal that plugged a large section of wood and pried it off, opening it to reveal that the log was half full of a dark liquid. It smelled fruity but sharp, almost like vinegar but not quite. "Take a sip of that and tell me what you think." She was certainly skilled, in a rough sort of way. The wine was based in wild grapes, and had a slight woody aroma with a taste of apples. The inside of the log had been carefully burned and scraped until it had a hard hollow. It was clear that this was a labor of love, bought with sweat, tears, and hard work. A ticket for the MAIN COURSE! Preference List: PBJ

This one, the one that was never master, but had been there with his fire sides like the fires he knew his mistress saw was asking him to to lead him back to his mistress, but Walking on Fire wasn't sure if she wanted to be found or seen, at least not by not-Killing Moon. But she had allowed him forward and there would be no way for him to return without this other following him and therefore he would be forgiven. Giving a long last look at the strange fat bird that looked good for eating but wasn't for eating, apparently, the eaglehound turned and loped away from the crowd and into the surrounding trees. He kept onward until he was a few tree lengths away and then gave a low whine.
Ember heard the approach of paw and hoofsteps and stilled even more than she was before. The hoof weight lessened and her hooves unstuck themselves, but she did not move. Then they stopped and she heard Walking on Fire whine, that low keening sound that he made very rarely as rare as any noise was from her friend. She took a few steps forward, still wary of the crowd, and rounded around a tree expecting to see Killing Moon only to be greeted by his father. Rise. She wasn't disappointed, not necessarily, for her friend was a busy buck, simply surprised to see his father instead. Her surprise did not steal her manners, though she still wasn't sure what to think of this buck before her, especially the exuberance he had displayed the last time they met. Her voice was ash-soft when she spoke, "Well met, Rise."A ticket for the MAIN COURSE! Preference List: pb&j

"I rather enjoy being pleasantly busy. It keeps me thinking." Talon watched him shoo the chicken so as to keep what was left of the plums from disappearing. He looked back at Killing Moon, "Of course."Talon looked at Darling as she scurried off. "Chickens," he mused. The acquisition of the new creatures provided a new product, which meant Meticulous Owl would spend some part of his day thinking of new uses for the product or new ways to harvest it. "What do you think we can do with them?"A ticket for the MANTIS PARTY! Preference List: 1, 2, 3

Killing Moon laughed. “We can spoil them rotten and then reap the rewards. Darling is an excellent egg-maker. Aren’t you sweetheart?” He cast a fond glance in his chicken’s direction. He marked the ground next to another bundle of dried fruits, declaring it ready to moved, somehow managing to both count and carry on the conversation at the same time. “Just don’t mention how tasty they look on their own. I don’t care how delightfully plump they all are.”A ticket for the MAIN COURSE!

Talon listened to Moon as he counted another pile of dried fruit. He smiled at the comment about Darling, finding it both factual and comical. Talon continued to count as Killing Moon went on, turning to see him both counting and talking, which is no easy feat. "Well I wasn't planning anything like that. I myself find the feathery creatures pleasant as well." Meticulous Owl turned his body towards Killing Moon, giving his full attention, "I was wondering if there was something we could do to maximize the amount and rate of eggs they produce."A ticket for the MANTIS PARTY! Fade cooed at the fluffy fennec and poked him with a leg. " It's good when cute things have an iron stomach, they get much less cute when they throw up." She said sagely, before pondering what Above said. " The fussy things like planning is all up with the boss and R&D, so mostly it's just counting and making sure we're organised...but you're in-store and relations, I think?" She grinned. " That means you should get started on...sampling. You have to know the wares to sell them, you know..." Perhaps Fade wasn't the best initial influence, but she certainly knew what she was eating.

Patmos of Endtimes Feel free to PM of course! I can't guarantee much other than the delicate balance of swamp-likely 'technology' that R&S exploits, but that I can certainly help with... wink It was the scent that hit him first, he paused and proceeded to lower his muzzle to the opening for a taste. The smooth burn down his throat was pleasing - they'd been looking for someone like this. His head bobbed up swiftly and he nodded at her. " Remarkable. There's a good crispness to it, and it goes down smoothly. There is someone who'll want to know about this..." he looked about to dash off, but instead opted to very undignifiedly call over the commotion, excitement in his voice palpable, " SHAKEN!"

" Ember!" Rise exclaimed effusively at her greeting with his signature broad smile. " Such a pleasant surprise! What brings you here to the shop? Your puppy gave me your kills, they looked wonderful. Are you here to see Killing Moon? You don't have to bring gifts, you know." He couldn't help being so chipper at the sight of the sweet young lady - he did love that his son had such nice friends.

There was no reply for a good, long while - then the sharp, clipped hoof-falls of a buck finally parted the milling bystanders, "I told you not to bother me when -" the irate hiss terminated abruptly as soon as the piquant fragrance became apparent. He stilled to study this development - then, a brief exchange of glances with his brother, a curt nod at the provider, and he was taking the soberest of sips. Silence as he let it settle across his tongue with the most calculative of looks. Swallow.
"Do you know Mirebeat and Walks-Between?" is all he asks the red Acha, expression perfectly neutral.Patmos of Endtimes In case this seems very quixotic, Mirebeat and Walks-Between are the official purveyors of fermented spirits in Matope canon - and I figured Shaken probably hates their guts. XD He's gonna grab Tipsy for Rise & Shine for sure!

Tipsy watched the bucks with barely concealed glee and nerves. The first one seemed to like it enough to call over others, so that was surely a good sign. The question wasn't what she expected, though, and she tipped her head quizzically. "No. Who are they?" A ticket for the MAIN COURSE! Preference List: PBJ

If she hadn't been expecting it, Ember would have jumped at Rise's exclamation of her name. As it was, she merely smiled, soft, but a little bit strained in the face of his exuberance. She couldn't begrudge him his expression of joy even though it made her balk. She took a few, fleetingly quick moments to gather herself, shaking a little as if ash had settled on her pelt before stilling again in a smile. She dipped her head down and a little away, smiling, softer now, warmer too, at the thought of Killing Moon. "The Killing Moon, yes... I wasn't expected such a large crowd since it was quiet the last time I visited."
"I hope I'm not intruding," she paused, looked up, "I'm happy to be able to offer Walking on Fire's kills to your family, in honor of The Killing Moon and Echo who once offered me a kill meant of Left."A ticket for the MAIN COURSE! Preference List: pb&j

“So far, keeping them happy seems to be the best incentive. They produce nothing when stressed.” Killing Moon had been enamoured with the chickens since their arrival and had been keen to work out how best to care for them. “The more space and food you give them, results in better and more frequent eggs. I don’t know if we can do much more than that.” But then, he wasn't one of the smart ones in innovation. Who knew what they would discover given enough time?

Her stomach started to turn at the thought of eating all that food. Some of it smelled great and she would gladly try those, but the other. She shivered. "Yes, I suppose I should start on that." The bright acha doe turned back to the area everyone was working, making sure her small companion stayed close. "Where should we start?" The fruits, well every knew those were good. The cooked foods? She stepped towards it, wondering how to describe the taste of something she didn't like. A ticket for the MAIN COURSE! Preference List: [ taco, pbj ] A ticket for the MANTIS PARTY!
