Paimon shook his head. "Still." He grinned down at his mate and nipped at her ear playfully before turning back to Punk. "I just have to be careful. Its hard even trusting him sometimes."

Ca flicked her ear and snorted, but a smile was on her face. It didn't take much to see that Paimon made her happy.
Punk nodded his understanding. "Such is the nature of the south." There was a common cause, but little trust outside of lifemates.

Paimon nodded before he poked Ca with his nose. "How you feeling?" He asked softly, caressing her back with his tail, keeping careful to keep the flames down and non-lethal over her scar tissue.

Ca opened her eyes and smiled up at her mate. "... Happy," she replied as she nuzzled him. She was surrounded by those most precious to her and there was no imminent threat to any of them. It was a relieving. No matter what the reasons, seeing her father and sister made her heart's troubles drown in joy. And it seemed her father and Paimon were getting along just fine, which made the moment that much more wonderful.

Paimon looked up at Punk before back at Ca, his eyes in an expression of wonder. "Ca... You're speaking." He said softly, lightly nuzzling her before looking at her father and her sister.

Ca nodded and rolled her eyes. Why did he sound so surprised? She'd spoken before. Only about three words, but she'd still spoken. A quiet chuckle resulted in the mare giving her adopted father quite a look. "... Dad..."
"Sorry. ... Actually, I'm not sure if I can say that's true. I think it was worth hearing you call me that."
"I told you her voice is pretty." Liron sleepily gazed over at the others. "You've decided to speak?" Although Ca said nothing, Liron nodded. "I see. I'm glad."
"I believed you, sweetie, but there's a difference in being told and hearing it for yourself."

Paimon chuckled and nuzzled her. "I know. I was just saying it because now we're out of danger and you aren't falling asleep." He grinned, his coal eyes shining brightly with warmth and happiness as he looked at her family, his gaze lingering on Liron a moment before going back to Ca.

Ca smiled and nipped at his mane. She was happy--happier than she'd ever been in her life, with a possible exception of when Punk found her. She was glad that her family and Paimon got along... though thinking about it made her wonder what Paimon's family would think about it. Sure, she didn't care about Ruin's opinion, but what about his brother? His nieces and nephews? She'd meet them eventually, right? Would they like her? Embarrassed at her thoughts--and her sister's giggle, she nuzzled her face against Paimon to try and hide it.
"Liron, don't tease your sister."
"Sorry... It's just just different, seeing Ca embarrassed."

Paimon opened his mouth to say something when the sound of a crackling fire and hoofsteps came to his ears. He perked up, ready to get up and defend those around him if it was his father or one of his ilk, but stopped and gave a small grin when he recognized the red and black mane. Bruin trotted up the hill, pausing only slightly when he saw the bird azrein, before continuing to his uncle's form on the ground next to a pretty female. "Hail, Uncle." He said to Paimon, eyeing the others cautiously.

Ca instinctively pressed closer to Paimon, though her expression didn't change much as she inspected the newcomer. So this was one of Paimon's nephews?
Punk just watched casually as the young stallion approached. He met his cautious gaze with his own: a calm gaze that was full of life. He nudged his younger daughter's head reassuringly when she scooted over to his side. He was sure nothing would happen. This nephew of Paimon's looked smart enough not to pick a fight without knowing who they were.

Paimon nodded at Bruin. "Bruin, this is my lifemate Ca Thu Thi and her family Punk and Liron. Ca, Punk, Liron, this is my nephew Bruin Mabcaw." He introduced.
Bruin's ears flickered as he watched and nodded at the introductions. He recognized Punk's name as a Sixer but stayed in his place and remained calm and non-threatening. If these were Paimon's lifemate's family, he wouldn't do anything unless they threatened him first. "Well met."

Ca wordlessly nodded her greeting, then nuzzled against Paimon. She couldn't help feeling a little shy; she wasn't terribly familiar with many Azrien, and the ones she had she either didn't like or were much older than her.
Punk nodded back to Bruin. "Likewise. ... Being Paimon's nephew would make you Aduro and Niniane's brother, right?"

Paimon nuzzled his mate, letting his new father-in-law talk with his nephew. He was happy that Bruin seemed to be accepting his choice without another thought.
Something flashed in Bruin's eyes as his siblings were mentioned. "My brother is Nascien... but yes, we do share blood with those two." He said, his tail swishing back and forth, betraying his annoyance with Aduro and Niniane.

Punk was quiet for a moment and then sighed. "That's not the look or words of a worried brother... so I take it you've seen them recently--and didn't like what you saw."

Bruin sighed and shook his head. "They made their choice." He said as he changed his weight from hoof to hoof. "Actually, Uncle.. I was coming to tell you that Nascien and I were back, and that we made no headway."
Paimon sighed and gave a small nod. "Tell you parents, I am sorry. And Bruin... Don't hate them for their choice." He said softly, caringly.
Bruin nodded a fairwell before turning and heading home.
