Kuro gently nudged Bullets side letting her know he'd carry her. Quickly scooping the mass onto his back; his large form and strength allowing him to carry the load effortlessly. His nose that was able to pick up the slightest scent miles away caught wind of a one of the wolves he scented earlier. It was moving closer but still was a ways off. "It's time to go." He glanced at streak and began padding forward towards the river.
Streak awaited patiently for his brothers signal and with that given he moved to the front leading the group. He could tell by his brothers eagerness to get moving that there was a potential treat approaching. Trotting along he kept his eyes open at the point also watching for potential food as well.

Scarlett Schoenheit Her head moved to nod to his name, she would attempt to remember it. Hearing him ask that question pulled a shallow grumbling growl from her throat. Still looking in the scents direction, teeth bare as the rumbling slowed. "No," she said with a cold edge, "it's a human. Humans have no place here." She lowered herself into a stalking pose as she moved toward the sound. "Plus, we would have food," she said with a slit grin. It was an unneeded statement, but maybe the possibility of food would keep his interest in her mission. Scarlett had a full intention of stalking and filling her belly with this creature. Subliminals audtives erected as she mentioned the possibility of food. Simpering faintly, he'd flick his caudal appendage briefly and mimick her movements, not yet trusting the femme, he stood a generous distance away, proboscis aimed toward the sapid scent, but chasms remaining on Scarlett. "Let us hope so.." He growled lightly as his muscles flexed;reclining his physique closer toward the foliage, annoyed by his consistant hunger.

Bullet took her place along side Kuro. They walked at a steady pace after he had scented possible danger. The river was coming up faster than she realized. Her slim legs carried her into the river bank before she noticed. The river she remembered still flowed, it looked different somehow. Much darker liquid slithered over smooth stones and moved with the rapids. Having rested here earlier the water was already tested and deemed drinkable.
Never the less Bullet was joyful. Long lost puppy instinct made her jump and splash around for a moment. Trotting over to the unconscious wolf, Bullet splashed around some more in order to drizzle the females face. Maybe the cold water will help waken her, Bullet thought to her self. Unsure if it was helping Bullet looked around for something she could scoop the water into.

She felt deep underwater, in the cool soothing darkness.
Frostridge drifted aimlessly, her heart wounded from the pain of past memories. If she had just been more aware, if she had been quicker-
Seperated from her beloved team, losing her one human friend, her brother going MIA, the full-weight of these occurences seemed to make her sink further down into the depths.
She was suddenly aware of a strange muffled sound that had slowly been growing more apparent. She wondered absentmindedly what it might be-
Cold water on her face-
She was suddenly rapidly rising up out of the darkness, the smell of water and wolves, wolves all around forcing her consiousness towards the surface of the dark waters of her mind, the speed increased two fold, the light growing brighter and-
oOo
Pain.
Her stomach was suddenly aflame in agony, her foreleg burning. She could do nothing but register the sensation for a moment, her still awakening mind unable to cope and her exhausted body unable to react.
A few cool drops of water splashed against her face, still fewer trickling heavenly into her dry mouth. She opened her eyes to a blurry, colorless world, her hearing still lost underwater-
Wolves! Too close! Way too close!
Enemies! She was surrounded by enemies! Frostridge struggled to stand, to attack or run, but her body refused to cooperate. All she could do was wonder why they hadn't killed her yet- a particularly large splash of water drenched her, causing her to snort some water up her nose. Blearily, she turned her head ever so slightly to find the female she had taken to calling Red-Fur splashing playfully in the river. The two males stood nearby.
She tried to snarl a warning, but snarling made her rib cage flare with renewed pain so she just tried to glare, devoting her energy towards full attentiveness. Or what was left of it.
As she tried to read herself for another attack, she lay on her side assessing her wounds, at their utmost mercy.

The sudden sound from the female caught Bullet off guard. She bopped at the wolf with her front paw a few times. Bullet stood in the river and watched her attempt to growl at them. Bullet tilted her head "We are trying to help you, why are you being so mean to us?" The wolf seemed to just lay on her side, clearly in a lot of pain. She didn't want to get to close to the hurt one in case she took it as a threat. With a sigh she sat down at watched the wolf, water's current splashed at her side.

The blows from the she-wolf made her wince with pain, but also confusion. This couldn't be an attack. It was far too weak and childish. Her voice though the words still had no meanings to her, its tone was light and lacked any sort of aggression. Even the two wolves still remained motionless. Why had they not attacked?
Could it be? They actually did not want to kill her? Her mind was still rooted in suspicion, but she stopped her weak snarling. Her deep blue eyes ringed with teal caught the eyes of the Red-Fur; strong, piercing like cold winds and steel.
They shared a moment of connection as Frost read her expression.
Somehow she knew, deep down, that this female did not wish to harm her and she relaxed visibly. Already, her mind was calling her back into the deep peaceful darkness of sleep as the weight of the day took its toll and she closed her eyes.

Bullet watched the female cautiously. bewildered at the fact the wolf couldn't understand her, Bullet stomped at the ground. The dark water splashed around and her coat was nearly soaked.
Maybe some food will help? she thought to herself. With a sigh she looked at the other wolves "Think we should find some meat soon." She dropped her head and began searching for prey.

Still unsure she could trust the male she kept a close eye on him as they moved. The strange human scent was getting closer. She moved through the scrawny trees in predator mode. Muscles moving her gracefully through the shrubs. When the scent was clearly just behind the bushes, she stopped. She gave a small nod of her head to signify the target was just beyond them. Quickly, she had to swallow a growl of anger; there was definitely wolves here as well. Luckily Subliminal and herself had been traveling downwind of them. The wind blew lightly and moved the leaves carefully around her. Her eyes crossed two large black males, a light colored wolf sleeping, and a fourth she recognized instantly. Her mind whirled through memories of everything she had been through, but the familiar wolf wasn't there. Lips parted in a silent growl, she couldn't spot the human yet the scent was still there.

Kuro rose to his paws and whisked his tail to the side. "Leave that to me. I've already caught the scent of a couple of critters nearby." The large mass turns and thunders off into the bushes quickly soon to return with a catch.
Streak remained and kept a close eye over the female. He found it quite strange that this wolf did not understand her own kinds language. The thought arose in his mind. 'could there be more like her? Wolves that can't even remember there native tongue!' He shifted onto his side comfortably and chuckled slightly towards Bullets entertaining playfulness.
Kuro soon returned with a mouthful of small creatures that would barely satisfy a fox. Among them a couple of mice, a healthy mole, a small rabbit and a skinny crow. Near the unconscious female he laid the crow still not sure if she was trustworthy or not. To his mate, he left the mole near the bank of the river. And for his brother the rabbit. They both sat side by side as as Kuro consumed the mice whole.

Bullet dipped her head in thanks to Kuro before she began pulling at the dead critter. Being a much slender wolf than the others the mole was good enough for her. After gobbling up her meal she moved over to the female and nudged the crow up close to her nose.
With the wolf passed out and unable to understand them Bullet decided to poke at her a few times. She recalled the painful sounds that came from the wolf earlier, Might not be a good idea to touch her, Bullet thought to herself.
Something caught at the corner of her eye. Her head snapped to the bushes. From the distance she was at there was nothing. Whatever was there made her fur stand on end. Making herself relax Bullet turned her attention half back to the sleeping wolf.

Jet had been following the big black Dire wolf and the white Arctic wolf for awhile now. A minute ago, the white wolf was distracted by a smell... Possibly the human smell Jet had smelled earlier. It seemed to her that they were heading that way. So Jet decided to follow along as well. Why would they want to go where the human was? Jet thought to herself, as she carefully picked her way through the wasteland, careful not to let them know she was there.
Jet stopped. She had picked up several other different smells. Wolves... There are.. wolves here?

What seemed like five minutes later, Frostridge slowly opened her eyes, disoriented. Night had fallen in full force and for a moment she was unsure of where she was. She quickly remembered as her battered body began to ache anew, and the smell of her new captors invaded her nose. Somehow, she was still alive; they had not killed her while she slept.
Though her body was weak, she could feel her bruised flesh and broken rib slowly beginning to mend as her inner mechanisms slowly drained the energy reserves she had gathered in the morning to accelerate her healing process. No longer bleeding, still exhausted, but she was now no longer on death's door.
A second far stronger smell made her stomach gurgle hungrily and she was suddenly aware of a small, black shape in front of where her face lay parallel to the earth. Her eyes focused to reveal a dead bird of some sort, its feathers a coal black that blended in perfectly with the darkened area.
With a grunt of effort she rolled back onto her belly, assessing the damage her body had taken. Nothing broken in her legs, though her front-leg had taken a nasty hit. Her side ached with her movement; worst case scenario, she had broken a rib, best, merely a fracture. She had been lucky, considering her condition...
Frostridge was suddenly aware of three pairs of eyes on her and she froze, cursing her brain at being distracted by the food in front of her. The three wolves had been busy with their own meals, it seemed and her sudden awakening made them stop, gazing at her.
Still as a statue, she also realized the familiar weight of her dagger on her shoulder was gone and she felt herself quiver with fear. Where had it gone?
At a standoff, the wolves merely looked at each other. Frostridge had no plan, no tactic she could think of; she would barely be able to take down one, let alone three, her chances even slimmer without her weapon on hand. She could only hope and pray the benevolence they had so far shown her had not run out...

Bullet wasn't that far from the wolf. She let her instincts move her body to a playful pose and her tail moved back and forth slowly. Without using words she tried to show the white wolf she was friendly. Bullet moved one black paw over her nose, trying to show she didn't bite. An old mix she knew spoke about creatures who didn't know how to communicate with wolves. This must be one of them.
It was very late in the night, She didn't want to sleep if this wolf wasn't going to accept their kindness.

Not satisfied with her findings Scarlett turned angrily. She moved past the male and began pacing back and forth, anger rolled off her like waves in the ocean. She wanted food, and was looking forward to the human's meat. More wolves, what is pulling them here? THERE'S NOTHING LEFT TO THIS PLACE! she thought to herself snarling and shaking her head in disbelief.
With anger clouding her head she wasn't watching the male, or notice their follower she was close to stepping on as she paced. Her tails swung as she turned, hitting a tree fairly hard. The sudden noise made her freeze. She huffed at herself for being careless.
