Not sure how else to react, Isabelle giggled. "Awww and I was hoping we might have a banquet before you leave in full regalia." Isabelle teased, "And I'm sure so long as Alex is around you won't need to worry about Lord Tobias for a while. Least not during your stay."

Isabelle was busy trying to think of a way to stear the conversation towards her recent betrothal when Ryuu beat her to it. Her cheeks flared a deep crimson. "Oh. I...didn't realize…" she murmured, eyes fixing themselves on the carpet. "T-thank you. It became official about two weeks ago. I think...you've might of met him. It's the Duke of Ramora...William." She explained. She was fairly certain that William would have been to Ryuu's palace at least a few times on royal matters.

Again, Isabelle began twisting the little band on her finger. "Ryuu…" she started again. Oh gods how was she supposed to say this. "I….I know that you had intended...I know that we were rather close….once." The lump was forming in her throat. "I care very much for you. You will always have a special place in my heart. It's just that…." It probably took just about all of her strength not to bolt to the door. "It's just that….it's been so long since you visited last. And I...I fell in love with someone else." There it was. Her heart felt like it was lying on the floor, exposed. She felt cold, as though she had just killed someone. She wanted to sob but her eyes were completely dry. "He makes me very happy. I….I love him…" There was the smallest lightening in her voice. Just enough for Ryuu to hear how much she truly meant what she said.
PostPosted: Tue Mar 11, 2014 10:32 pm

Ryuu was silent as he let the brutality of Isabelle`s words roll around in his head. He knew of William, though he didn’t know that much about him, other than his title as the two of them had little need to interact with each other. Granted, he still felt a bitter sting of betray, it would have been a lie if Ryuu said that he didn’t toy with the idea of murdering the man. But when his love spoke so fondly of him, Ryuu knew that he couldn’t hurt her in that way. She would never forgive him and it wouldn’t get his beloved back. He loved her so much… that he couldn’t even bring himself to cause her any sort of unhappiness. Ryuu looked over his shoulder towards the back of Isabelle and opened his mouth to speak, only to slowly close it again, turning his attention back to the scene that the window was displaying for him. So… while he was desperately trying to find a cure for him and his sister, someone came in and took his girl.
This was just not his year…
”I would have come just after my sixteenth birthday to come and propose to you… but then –this- happened and I needed to find a cure. It didn’t just happen to me, either, I found out before I left that whatever was happening to me, was happening to my little sister. I know it’s not an excuse for not coming in sooner and proposing, but I hope that you can understand why I didn’t do so… and it wasn’t because I didn’t love you. You are the first and only person that’s made me feel this way and I wish… I wish I didn’t take no for an answer from our fathers about proposing to you during our last get together.” Ryuu’s voice had gone soft and quiet. He fought back tears of heartbreak as he closed his eyes and leaned his head on his forearm. ”I love you.”
Ryuu at this point knew that his love wasn’t going to be returned, at least not in the way that he was hoping for. There was an awkward silence that filled the room as Ryuu struggled to think of what to say next, he knew that he couldn’t win her back, he knew that nothing he would say would even make her abandon William and come over to him once more. After a deep sigh on his end he finally found a few more words.
”I’m glad that you… found that person who makes you feel whole. I’m glad… that you found someone who brings joy to your life.” I just wish it was me that was able to bring you that joy…
Ryuu struggled to understand what made him so undesirable to her that she was able to wait for him. Was it because he was a darkness bearer? Perhaps it was her father who pushed her to that man? Though judging by how fondly she spoke of William, the former was probably more likely. Ryuu suddenly felt isolated and lonely, thoughts tore at his mind that maybe he just not meant to have someone precious to him. Maybe being a darkness user condemned one to be alone, as though they were damaged goods that nobody else wanted. He knew this to be true with Uncle Vidor. He was lonely as well, and Ryuu could understand and empathize with that a lot better now. Sometimes, he hated being a darkness user, especially when thoughts like this gnawed at his conscious and made doubt fester in his being. He wasn’t sure what happened between him and Isabelle that caused them to grow distant, but she made it clear that he did something wrong. Silence once more filled the room as the two former lovers sat in each other company, though were worlds away, separated by heartbreak.

Isabelle fiddled with the folds of her skirt as she listened to Ryuu. Every word felt like a small knife. Why did she need to be reminded of how much this was hurting him. She knew he was breaking. Her small glass body trembled. "The past is in the past." She all but whispered. Who was to say that if this curse hadn't occurred on Ryuu that things would have been any different?

She pressed a palm against her heart, as it afraid it would shatter if not held together. She closed her eyes, willing the tears not to fall from sheer force of will alone. "I loved you too once." She whispered, voice breaking on a sob. The tears started to fall silently. She was aware that Ryuu was speaking, but she didn't hear the words. The world felt like it was collapsing down around her. "I-I'm s-sorry. I….I must go." The last thing Ryuu would hear would be a heartbreaking sob and a slamming door. Isabelle ran as far and as fast from the room as she could, half blinded by tears.
PostPosted: Mon Mar 17, 2014 6:13 am

The finality of the door slamming made Ryuu feel numb all over. ‘I loved you once’ those words were echoing deeply into his mind and causing barbed, venom daggers to tear and dig into his soul. He was too hurt to cry, too brutalized by her words to care at the moment. It all felt so surreal, it felt like one of his constant nightmares that the Darkness element would plague him with in order to wear down his will to make him more susceptible to being unstable… and yet, in a strange twist of irony, it was the darkness that was coming to his comfort, slowly blocking out the light of the room and softly grabbing and caressing him with a tender, loving embrace. He paused the darkness from engulfing the light utterly. Leaving a faint glow of the mid-day sun to warm his room, he made his way to the bed where he sat down heavily. His head was hung low and he ran his fingers through his ever lengthening hair. God, things went to hell in a short period of time. Ryuu, however, refused to give into tears. Though he didn’t look like it, he was still a man, and as a man, he had his pride that dictated that he shows no emotion at a time like this.

Ryuu instead nested down on his bed and began to go over his notes on what still needed to be gathered for potion that would be his salvation. He poured over his notes and rememorized what he needed and what the ingredients looked like, then he cross checked were things were on his map. He tried to think of the best way to do this errand with efficiency. But after a while, the plots and roads were starting to give him a headache, what was worse was that the room smelled faintly of his ex-lover, even after she was gone, her perfume lingered like a haunting specter, there to torment him. Maybe a walk would clear his head and give his room a chance to banish the smell of his former loves perfume, so grabbing his cloak, Ryuu started to get ready to go and walk through the town. There was usually something to do here, the smaller city was also fairly safe, even though he knew that he could defend himself no problem. Ryuu searched for his sword when he remembered that he had given it to the weaponsmith as a down payment. Maybe he would bump into Tobi while he was out there, though judging by the look in Alexandra’s eyes, he would probably be occupied for the next little while… well, at least someone was having luck with the girls here… Ryuu found his way out of the door, the deep hood of his cloak and the wrappings he put over the lower part of his face should shield his identity from any curious eyes. Going out in his new… outfit… was really awkward and strange, though Ryuu did it as confidently as possible so people didn’t think anything of him… though despite his miserable attempt at looking confident, he seemed to not gain any attention to himself, at least that was a good thing…

Tobias was walking back towards the white tower palace with a goofy dazed grin on his face, his clothes looking dishevelled, and a lead stuck in his tousled hair. That woman, Alexandra, was a wild vixen if he had ever met one. She was all fire and heat and god it was good to feel alive. He might have stayed all day with her tucked away in a little corner of the forest if it weren't for the fact that a servant had come calling for her. She had to leave, but Tobias had little intention of going back inside just that instant, so he had opted towards walking the grounds.

It was along this walk that Tobias noticed another young woman. Tall and lithe in ornate leather. There were modest curves in all the right places. Tobias took an appreciative eyeful as he walked closer to the mysterious maiden. They were on trek to pass each other after all. But he wasn't intending to do much more then that. He rather enjoyed Alexandra and thought maybe perhaps he could see her more over their visit. He didn't plan to screw that up by talking up another pretty thing.

But as Tobias got closer, he got a weird sense he knew the person under that hood. It wasn't until he was close enough to really see the eyes did he realize. "RYUU??!!" Tobias almost gasped at the sight of him. Dear god he had thought….was thinking….dear lord! This was his punishment for being such a ladies man he knew it.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 20, 2014 7:05 am

Ryuu was getting a lot of looks, and none of them were the kind of looks a girl likes to get… let alone a Prince who was turning into one. The men seemed to be interested in drinking in his curves and the women were looking at him knowing that there wasn’t something quit right about the young ‘woman’ who was cloaked and masked. Needless to say, Ryuu was feeling rather uncomfortable walking around in the city. This was a mistake, maybe he should head back and try and find something else to do in order to sooth his troubled mind. Ryuu made a subtle turn and began to walk a different direction where hopefully not to many people would be looking at him. In the distance, he saw Tobi walking towards him… though he looked like he was mauled by a tigress… Ryuu knew that stupid grin anywhere and something akin to bitterness bubbled in him. The thought of his friend finding a woman that he liked really rubbed him the wrong way right now. He really just attributed it to having just had his heart smashed by the woman he loved, so he tried his best to push those feelings off to the side as best he could. Finally though! Someone who wouldn’t stare at him like a starved dog looks at a piece of meat. As he got closer though, that hope and optimism that he had that Tobi wasn’t going to be ogling him like many of the other men in the city was quickly demolished as he saw his friend traced along his unwanted curves with his eyes. Ryuu’s face soured under the bindings and a sharp glare was forming and his hand tightened into a fist. He was about to give his friend a punch in the face when his eyes narrowed a bit, as if he was trying to figure something out. Ryuu’s face soured, though the wrappings he put around his lower face would hide that… though it would do nothing for the glare that stained his eyes.
”See something you like Tobi?” Ryuu hissed, crossing his arms under his blossoming bosom, unintentionally creating a better view for Tobi. When Tobi realized who it was, he stared to call out Ryuu’s name in surprise. Ryuu’s own eyes went wide and he more or less lunged at Tobi, smashing his hand over Tobi’s mouth and pulling on his collar so that he was closer to eye level. Ryuu spared a quick, paranoid looked over his shoulders to see if anyone heard Tobi’s almost outburst.
”Dammit Tobi!” Ryuu whispered aggressively to his friend. ”If I wanted the world to know that I look like this I would have made the announcement myself.” Ryuu turned his head when he heard a soft murmuring and saw that they had earned some strange looks. Ryuu’s face turned a little red before he snatched his hand away from Tobi’s mouth and grabbed his wrist and pulled him as hard as his cursed body would allow so that they could at least get away from the giggles and chuckles from the crowd. When they found a quiet spot again Ryuu stopped and turned around.
”Goddess’ corset, Tobi, don’t do that to me.” Ryuu fumed a little, clearly embarrassed over what just happened and the spectacle that was made. Ryuu calmed himself down a little. He knew that he was over reacting. He gave a heavy breath and leaned against a thick tree. ”I’m sorry… I… didn’t mean to bite so hard…” There was a beat of silence, Ryuu’s eyes dropped downwards and they looked like they were about to glisten with tears.
”William… the Duke of Ramoria…” Ryuu looked over at Tobi. ”The man who took my love from me…” Ryuu said softly, explaining what he meant. Ryuu didn’t know what else to say… what else to do right now. He just needed… to hang out with his buddy and do things like they used to before Ryuu started to become this. Maybe the estrogen that was flowing through his veins right now was making him unfortunately emotional, great… something else that he needed to learn to deal with.

"You surprised me!" Tobias countered back. "Yesterday you still looked sort of like a guy. And now, in those clothes, with your face hidden…" Tobias trailed off, his ears turning scarlet in embarrassment. It wasn't usually in Tobi to get embarrassed but this was different. This was Ryuu. If Tobi had wanted to find that he had been attracted to his best friend, he would have become friends with Niccy. Or one of the Valkyries. He may openly joke about Ryuu being a princess, but gods he had thought things about Ryuu that no guy should think about his best friend. And Tobi wasn't the type of question his sexuality. He was very very sure of it.

But as Ryuu's anger started to break, and the chips falling away revealed the despair bubbling just at the surface, Tobias but his own problems aside. He pulled Ryuu into a brohug, "That little t**t. I met that duke once. He makes knights look like the scum of the earth. He's almost annoyingly noble." Tobias muttered, in some attempt to make Ryuu feel better. He then released his friend, and started to walk back in the direction he came. "Come on. You need a drink."

Tobias led the way into a tavern. It was modest, though cheerful, with plenty of chatting patrons and a warm crackling fire. Tobias directed Ryuu to go sit at one of the more private tables in the corner while he went to get drinks. For himself, a whiskey. For Ryuu, the drink that he knew Ryuu preferred. Tobias brought them over to the table, and set the drinks down before facing Ryuu. "Alright. Tell me what happened."
PostPosted: Fri Mar 21, 2014 6:43 am

Ryuu wasn’t sure what to think about the brohug, nor was he too sure about what Tobi was getting so embarrassed about… but wasn’t sure that he really wanted to know. The snarky comments about the man who stole his ex-lover away did make him give a weak smirk, though did little else. At least he was kind, he guessed, but he still took the woman of his dream away from him. He looked up slightly at Tobi at the mention of a drink and gave a shallow nod. Perhaps drinking wasn’t really a good idea for him but one or two drinks shouldn’t hurt. Admittedly Ryuu wasn’t a big drinker, he had his favorite drink of course but he would never drink them too quickly or numerously. Ryuu was actually pleasantly surprised with the atmosphere of the Tavern that Tobi had found, Ryuu took his seat in a more privatized table and waited for Tobi. The Ceaser was placed in front of him and he pulled it closer to him, undoing his wrappings slightly so that his mouth was at least free in order to drink with. The shadows were good enough here that Ryuu didn’t feel that he needed to worry. Tobi asked what happened… and after a deep sip of his drink, he answered… he told Tobi everything that they talked about and more or less everything that was said, though spared Tobi the more mushy details about his confessions to Isabelle. When he got to the part when came to the part where Isabelle said… ‘I loved you too, once’ Ryuu felt the dagger twist in his heart once more. Ryuu took another drink and desperately wanted to change the subject… if anything to avoid bursting into tears in front of a whole bunch of strangers, let alone his best friend. Ryuu pretty well deflated on the table, though he took up his drink and looked at the glass.
”You know what the best thing about traveling is Tobs? We can drink and not have to worry about our parents catching us.” God, if his mom caught him drinking she would have skinned him alive. She was a pretty protective mother and she didn’t tend to let these sorts of things go unpunished. It was technically illegal after all, and his mom was a stanch upholder of the Law. Ryuu looked over at Tobi with a heavy sigh but pulled himself off the table again.
”Looks like you were getting along rather well with Lady Alexandra… did she ride you two or three times while you were away and hidden from view?” He was teasing of course, though he knew that those two were more similar then they were probably willing to admit… and Ryuu wasn’t totally sure that he wanted a full answer right now. But, after telling Tobi about that miserable conversation that he had with his former love… he needed a good laugh. Ryuu took another deep sip of his drink and placed his elbow on the table and rested her chin in her open palm.

"Well…" Tobias started to say as he finished his glass of whiskey. "She got over that awfully fast." The way Ryuu had always talked about the girl, Tobias had assumed that she was in madly in love with him, as he was with her. But to fall in love with some other guy so fast, agree to marry him, and admit to being completely out of love with someone you were with six months before? That seemed...odd. But then again Tobias was far from an expert in love.

As Ryuu changed the subject, Tobias went along with it. He waved his glass at the barkeep to say he wanted another. A pretty young thing came over with refills for the pair of them before scuttling away to another table. Tobias took a sip before looking at Ryuu. "Oh hell yes. My parents don't mind the ceremonial glass of wine at some dinner, but gods forbid I drink for leisure in their estate. I don't think Mother minds as much. She found a bottle at my estate once and didn't bat an eyelash." And then at the mention of Lady Alexandra, the goofy grin started to sneak on Tobias' expression again, as much as he tried to dampen it. "Oh just the three." Tobias said with a nonchalant shrug. "I swear. That woman. She's a tiger."
PostPosted: Mon Mar 31, 2014 11:45 pm

”Tell me about it…” Ryuu grumbled darkly, he was thinking along the same lines as Tobi was when it came to the failed relationship. She did get over him pretty quickly, hell, he was still caught up on her and she was well on her way to being married. Maybe it was all in his head after all. Maybe it was just wishful thinking that maybe even he could someday be happy with a wife. ”It’s the darkness element, isn’t it? Chicks hate the darkness element… that’s it Tobs, I’m swearing off women from now on. I’ve decided to be a bachelor my whole life. Screw getting married and being happy, Niccy can give mom the grandkids she’s been pestering us about for years now…”
Yeah, Ryuu had heard that from Tobi a few times before too, swearing off women, that would always make Ryuu laugh. Tobi swearing off women lasted till the end of the street where he would met the next pretty things with large boobs and a pretty face and then that vow was thrown out the window. Oh well, to each their own, he supposed. When the waitress came to top up their cups, Ryuu`s hardly needed a refill so he passed her up on her offer.

”You’re moms always been pretty cool, Tobi, she can be scary but she seems to be the more laid back of your parents… as much as I love my mom, she can be a bit of a… mother hen… when it comes to pretty well everything that could get me hurt or killed. She can be such a killjoy sometimes. I’m certainly not a little kid anymore…” All being said, Ryuu’s mom was someone he trusted fully, sure she was a little over protective but he knew that she and Tomas had a past that made her feel that way, still, sometimes he wished that she would remember that he wasn’t 5 years old anymore. Tobi’s mom, on the other hand, could be a bit airheaded at times… or at least she seemed that way, though Ryuu often got the impression that was more or less just an act and she knew far more that what she let on. She was a very attractive woman too, strong and confident… Ryuu would be lying if he denied having a few… questionable fantasies in his younger teen years about Tobi’s hot mom, he was pretty sure that Tobi had a similar reaction to his mom, not that it was too hard considering she usually walked around in a chainmail bikini… yeah… She was probably a target of Tobi’s young fantasies too.
When Tobi got that goofy grin on his face, Ryuu rolled his eyes, though he still let a grin blossom on his face. ”Oh, you seemed to have gotten over Lady Amber pretty quickly.” Ryuu teased. ”The way she chased you around, you’d think that you were on fire and she was the only person who could put you out. Surely that… pretty… young thing can’t compare to this new Tigress of yours.”

It's safe to say that the two men at the bar stayed there drinking until they were utterly sloshed. Or at least, Tobias was beyond drunk, while Ryuu had stopped after his personal limit. Keeping control over the darkness reined over heartbreak. But Tobi, being the awesome friend that he was, drank for both of them. A fact that he severely regretted the next morning. Though luckily he had a little tiger to nurse him back to health.

A couple days past, and soon the stone was ready. Tobias was kissing Alexandra with passionate fever goodbye on the front steps of the palace of the Glass Maiden. Isabelle and Ryuu were not far off, closer to the door. Isabelle, her eyes glassy and downcast, handed Ryuu a package wrapped in silk cloth. "The stone. The very best our alchemists could provide. I...I hope that you journey goes well." Isabelle's voice was soft. Almost as if she wanted to cry, but was keeping it strong. Her platinum ringlets were being tossed by the morning breeze. Her hands now empty, Isabelle hid her hands behind her pale lavender skirt, and nervously twisted her ring. "And Ryuu…" She started again, her voice sounding hopeful now. Her clear blue eyes looked up at him, and she offered a soft smile. "I hope that...we can be friends. I will always treasure your friendship."
PostPosted: Tue Apr 15, 2014 10:05 pm

Getting Tobi back to the palace wasn’t easy. Once upon a time, when Ryuu was bigger and more muscular that he was now, it was more than easy, all they needed was a shoulder and belt to help keep him up. Now that Ryuu was a full head shorter than Tobi and had lost a lot of his muscle mass… it wasn’t as easy as just looping your arm around him and off you went. Ryuu struggled to keep his friend’s frame upright, let along in a straight line towards the place they were staying. Tobi was heavy as hell and every stumble that he did, Ryuu’s eyes went wide as he had to suddenly compensate for shifting of his weight… and good lord he just won’t shut the hell up either! His drunken stupor loosened his tongue it seemed and he was constantly telling Ryuu what a nice a** he had, he would go on about how this must be his punishment for being a ladies man and he even mumbled something impossible to understand through his slurred speech about ‘a dream he had’. All Ryuu could do was turn red with embarrassment and summon his hood as deep as he could to try and shield his awkwardness away from the world. After what seemed like days of stumbling, drunken admissions and stories that Ryuu would have lived cheerfully without hearing, he finally made it into the place where they were staying and poured him into his bed, placing a bucket near him for the inevitable morning after.

Ryuu had a hard time sleeping that night, the misery of the reality that he had just lost the girl of his dreams coupled with the fact that he knew that his friend would be staring at his a** the rest of the trip made sleep a little illusive. Ryuu took some steps to ensure that he didn’t suffer the same fate as Tobi in the morning, though he was no wear near as drunk as Tobi, he was a little swimmy from the booze he ingested earlier. Better safe than sorry. Ryuu spent most of his night with a map and some research papers, trying to find the best and quickest routes that he could find in order to make this journey as swift and painless as possible, at least this way he didn’t have to worry about sharing a tent with his friend for long… a hot piece of a** indeed…
The morning came both a trifle too soon and at long last. Ryuu more or less stirred to the sounds of his friend using the bucket that Ryuu provided for him, vowing that he would never touch booze ever again so long as he lived… Ryuu knew that one to be a lie, but at the same time it was just as entertaining being around someone who purposefully inflicted a vast amount of misery upon themselves and dealing with the consequences of said actions. After some of the lewd comments that he made about his body last night while the booze took his tongue for a joyride, Ryuu somewhat revelled in his friends suffering, he did inflict it upon himself after all.
Being around Lady Isabella was awkward after their little conversation from yesterday. She knew that she had hurt him badly, and because of that, Ryuu was under the impression that she felt terrible about it. She wasn’t avoiding him per say, but it was hard to find something to talk about and keep a conversation with. It was because of this, that Ryuu decided that it would be best just to give her some space until she got over the guilt, he was still friendly to her of course. Though bitter about the whole thing he refused to be a lesser man and take those feeling out on her, love was a fickle thing, from what he understood, so he couldn’t bring himself to hate her for something that was out of her control.
He would curse the Goddess… she deserved it by now in his eyes.
So with this sort of atmosphere, Ryuu usually spent his time by himself, either in his room or out and about in town. After the first day, he checked to see how his sword was coming along, and the blacksmith promised him that it would be done by the end of the day. True to his word, the old man had both produced a sword fit for a Queen and delivered it on time as well. The blade was beautifully worked and was perfectly balanced, it had a slight curve to it that worked with the natural flow of the weapons slashing motions. The razors edge would last for centuries, and the tempering of the blade ensure that it would no bend of break despite its frail looking appearance. The one thing that Ryuu didn’t particularly care for was the hand guard’s design. The old man had designed the outer portion of it to look like a rose bush with tangled, thorny vines. It was a small design tick that didn’t please Ryuu, but he would be more than happy to overlook it, seeing as it was a temporary weapon for him until he got his strength back and could use his favored b*****d sword again. It would make a lovely addition to his mom’s sword collection after that, he was sure that she would love it.

Finally the day had come where the stone was delivered and Ryuu and Tobi could continue their adventure once more. Now feeling a little more relaxed with a sword that he could wield again… despite the rather feminine touches on it… Ryuu was finishing attaching his saddle to his horse. He turned to see Lady Alexandra and Tobi sharing a last minute bout of passion not far off from Ryuu and his heartbreak Isabella. She had given him the stone so formally making it was a soul crushing end to their visit.
”Thank you, Lady Isabella, I am greatly in your debt.” Ryuu wasn’t sure what else to say, really. Things had turned so awkward so fast between them, his preferred departure gestures were no longer applicable. He took the stone carefully from her hands and took one last look at her, though her eyes were downcast and gloomy so he couldn’t even get the satisfaction of one last look into her eyes before he left into the unknown. He had just put the item carefully in his saddlebag when he heard Lady Isabella’s voice again. He looked over his shoulder then turned to face her. Ouch… friendzoned… still, it was better than having them leave as strangers after all they had been through. Ryuu visibly relaxed and his eyes softened.
”Yes, of course. I would like that very much.” Ryuu walked up to her again. ”If you need anything –anything at all- don’t hesitate to come and find me, alright?” Ryuu pulled her into a firm hug. A part of him was happy that things ended this way, instead of what he had feared. Better a friend than simply an ex-lover. Who knew, maybe she would come around and they could be together again? It wasn’t a high hope, but there was obviously some there for Ryuu to cling onto. He let her go and mounted his horse. ”Take care of yourself, Lady Isabella, I look forwards to the next time we meet.” Ryuu looked over at Tobi and once he was ready, Ryuu steered his horse towards the gate, only allowing himself to take a look back once they got there, raising his hand to give one last wave to the closed chapter of his life.

Lady Isabelle more then welcomed the embrace. She was happy they would remain friends, despite all that had transpired over the past few days. It gave her hope that their friendship would heal and maybe they could someday be in each others presence without heartbreak someday. When he let go, Isabelle waved and smiled brightly as he mounted his horse and began to steer towards the gate. Noticing a certain other couple were not yet finished their goodbyes, Isabelle cleared her throat softly.

Tobias was mid way through the most glorious and anguished kiss he had ever experience when he heard the soft glass throat from a few feet away. He great reluctance, Tobi pulled away, placing a final kiss on Alexandra's forehead, before strolling dazed to his own steed and jumping into the saddle. "I promise I will return when this journey is done. That or I will send for you. Either or." Tobias declared, a goofy grin plastered on his features. Seeing that Ryuu was ready to go, Tobias turned his horse and began to follow his friend out of the gates. "Well, that went well." Tobias said happily. "Where next?"
PostPosted: Mon Apr 21, 2014 9:06 am

”Went well for whom?” Ryuu asked with a bit of a smirk and a quirked an eyebrow after they had gotten far enough away from the city. ”Doth Tobi finally find his lady fair?”
He held no ill will towards his friend, but he wasn’t above teasing him as much as he could for a while, actually, he remembered that Tobi had used those same words when Ryuu met Lady Isabella and fell head over heels for her. He pulled some clean cloth out of his bag and held it over to Tobi. ”We aren’t going anywhere until you get all that smeared lipstick off from around your mouth.”
Ryuu paused for a moment and winced, his chest was starting to feel like there was some pressure behind them and they were starting to push very uncomfortably against his leather armour. He looked over at his friend as he wiped his new beau’s lipstick off of his face, he had looked like a damn clown the way the passion had spilled over. ”I think that the best way to go about doing this would be go to Alicia valley, pass though Namia pass and then head up to the Grimore Mountains. It would be the quickest way to get as many ingredients as we can. After that, we’ll start heading towards home and pick up the rest of the ingredients.”
Ryuu closed his left eye, the one furthest away from Tobi, in a silent grimace at the pain that he was finding himself in. He needed to relieve this painful pressure that was still building up in his chest. Chaos curse! Why did this have to happen now, when Tobi was right there and Lady Alexandra put Tobi’s hormones into a ruthless frenzy? Ryuu adjusted his cloak so that it would curtain his frame a little more from the gaze of Tobi, his right hand started to subtly and quietly started adjust the belts across his chest, he continued on as best he could while he hid what he was doing from his best friend. ”Though honestly, I’m not sure where we can find a Unicorn horn… they shed them once every 200 hundred years or so and they are such a rare species that I’m not sure where to even start looking…”
Ryuu continued to fiddle with this buckles until he was finally able to un-notch it and he loosened a couple of them by one hole. Anymore and he would probably pop out… though at the moment, it was still slightly tight and created a lovely little bit of cleavage. Hopefully Tobi wouldn’t notice. Though with the lewd comments about his body a day or so ago when Tobs was intoxicated… he wouldn’t put it past his friend to live up to his perverseness. Ryuu decided that he would play it off as though nothing had happened, if he didn’t draw attention to it, then he wouldn’t have to worry about it being discovered that he had gained a cup size.
Joy.
Ryuu finally fixed his belt back into place and threw the cloak back over his shoulder and straightened himself out again, moving as though he was trying to get comfortable on the saddle again.

Tobias chuckled, and took the offered cloth from Ryuu. "Well I'm not sure I would say that just yet. But...she sure is something." Tobias gave Ryuu something of a knowing wink, before finally starting to wipe off the smeared lipstick. While he scrubbed at his face, Tobi listened to the plan. It was a fair bit of travel, through the valley pass, and into the mountains. His stomach tightened in an uncomfortable knot that he managed to hide under a forever cool exterior. Mountains always ran the risk of running into kin. While he did not know where his mother's family were now, as a general rule Tobias was weary of mountains. He would defiantly try to make sure they were off those mountains and headed home as quickly as possible.

Assuming that Ryuu wouldn't want back the lipstick covered bit of cloth, Tobias pocketed the small item and thought for a moment on the tricky item of a unicorns horn. "I can't say. Though they are known to frequent meadows. Maybe we'll get lucky in Alicia valley and come across something. Or in the very least a merchant who would be willing to make a trade for it." If Tobias was aware of Ryuu's difficulty with his breastplate, he certainly wasn't letting on.
