Lover boy? Otto almost got flustered from that nickname, but remained poker faced. "Seriously?" He asked regarding askign Eva. "What made ya think that?"

His... feelings for her weren't that transparent were they? other than Tenya blabbing about it during the first weapon golems test.

A roll of her eyes. "Please. You two are always together, and Otto? You hate people." A sip of her coffee, enjoying the last bits of it. It'd grown somewhat lukewarm in her hands, and the grilled cheese had completely disappeared.

"I'm happy for you. She's overly perky, but clever too. I like a clever girl." Ami feigned a frown and a hand to her forehead. "It was just yesterday I was changing your diaper!"

"Okay, that was probably a give away." Otto relented, his poker face held strong still. Yeah, for a guy who genrally hated people, he sure did hang around Eva a lot.

Eva was more than just perky and clever. She was cute, kind, and saw through so many of Otto's make shift walls he used to keep people away. Saw through it like glass. She never seemed put off by his grouching, and just stuck by him regardless. She was one of very few who could make him truly smile.

Ami's mock of nostalgia was met with a teenage scoff. "Oh what the Hell ever, girly." Otto snarked with a puffed cheek. Yeah, he wasn't terribly agitated by Ami's teasing. "Y'aint even that much older than me.... a-are you?"

"It's rude to ask a woman's age," she scoffed right back, playful smile meeting Otto's puffed cheeks.

She set her coffee cup down on the table, now that it was completely emptied. She debated buying a second one, but quickly dismissed it. She didn't want to end up wired all night like Kat. She loved the girl, but Ami already had insomnia. Adding coffee to it would not be pretty.

Suddenly Ami perked up, remembering something she'd forgotten. "Oh! I was going to ask you ... if you knew any metal songs?" A bashful look downwards before she explained. "It's just ... Lex really likes metal music, so I thought I could give it a try. I don't know any songs and youtubeing "metal music" comes up with rather distasteful results."

"Metal?" Otto asked curiously, furrowing his brows. "Well.. yeah, I know a few. What're ya tryin' to do, exactly?" Teach herself a song?
PostPosted: Sun Feb 24, 2013 9:53 am

"Oh, just listen to it. I can't play any instruments," she responded with a wave of her arms. There was no serenading for Lex in the future, and even if there was, it wouldn't be with a metal song.

She sighed and said, "It's not that important. I just figure with how little time we have on the island to legitimately date a person, I should at least get to know him in other ways." A tiny blush might've crossed her face. "Is that strange?"

"No, it ain't strange. It's a lot harder to make it work here than back on planet Earth." Even if they were still on planet Earth, Deus seemed so separate from the Human World.

Otto slipped off the headphones from around his neck, and handing them to Ami. The cord was attached to an MP3 player in his pocket, now in his hand. "Put these on.. I'll try and find a tamer metal song to get ya started." Otto browsed the list of songs he'd managed to scrounge up.

When the Hell did he get one of these anyway?

Otto made a face of realization and turned down the volume before skipping to the first metal song that popped onto the list. That could have been a disaster. No need to kill Ami's eardrums.

Ami carefully slipped the headphones over her head (which was actually quite difficult considering Junpei stuck out like a rock) brushing hair out of the way as she did so. Then she waited for the music to begin, vaguely worried that what would come over the headphones would be a slew of cuss words and vulgarity.

What she got was actually a rather pleasant surprise. It wasn't bad, persay, it just wasn't her cup of tea. Every once in a while she would crinkle up her nose, as though she'd smelled something terrible. Then it would sort of relax into enjoying the song, until she crinkled it up once more.

"IT'S NOT BAD," she said loudly, talking over the music on accident. "A LITTLE STRANGE, BUT NOT BAD."

The faces she made were hilarious. While Otto didn't outwardly show he was amused, the show of Ami's range of expressions brought some entertainment as he waited for her to listen to the song.

Otto winced as she yelled, leaning his head back instinctively. He reached over and lifted the headphones from her head, "Strange? Well what do you usually listen to?"

Ami blinked as the headphones were removed from her head, almost having forgotten that there was indeed a world outside the headphones. "Uhhh ... somewhat alternative? Mumford, The Rest, Radical face, Animal Collective ..." she mumbled. "You've ... probably never heard of most of them- except Mumford of course."

HIPSTERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.

"Yeaaaaah.. I ain't never heard of none of'em." Otto admitted with a flat look.

". . ."

"Hipster." He smirked devilishly and let the headphone cling back to her ears.

"I am not oh my god," she replied with a roll of her eyes.

Headphones back on, she waited for the next song.

"Are too." He said before the song started. Maybe this one would be a little tamer for her. As far as metal went, anyway.

Really, he was just throwing music that he enjoyed at her. He had no idea what bands Lex enjoyed.

Ami rolled her eyes, but as the song when on she said, "I LIKE THIS GUY'S VOICE." What? It was an attractive voice! The same sort of nose crinkling occurred, especially whenever the man started screaming, which was- well- always.

As the song ended, she took the headphones off herself this time and set them on the table. ''I ... don't think this stuff is for me."

Otto liked his voice too, but that was obvious. If he didn't, he'd not have that band on his mp3 player.

The same nose crinkling happened, making Otto smirk lightly and shake his head. He took back his headphones when Ami set them down. "You tried." At the very least she tried. "That wasn't even the worst of it. I've got stuff on here that'd give yer little hipster brain nightmares."
