The young lady spoke very nonchalantly, which impressed Maliarc. Most people would have freaked out and attacked on sight, or, at the very least, fainted. She said her name, meaning she wasn't hostile, and most likely had no plans to kill him at the moment. One question down. The other was answered in her sentence. HER ship. She claimed it as hers, meaning she was most likely the captain of it. So she held a station higher than his own.

"Well, nice to meet you miss Red." it was always better to assume that a lady was un wed rather than already wed. It was a custom that took him a while to understand, but he had it down now. "I, actually, I was mainly seeking a way off of that damned beach."

Thinking on it, he didn't think it was a wise decision to divulge who had attacked them, as he wasn't sure if speaking ill of the Queen of Ater Nox was a smart idea in her home land. He would have to wait and see how this lady felt about the witch.

Mahli crushed the paper in his hand and turned on his heel towards his desk, a grin creeping across his face. "Certainly, we wouldn't want her to wait too long." Mahli returned to his chair, behind his desk, resuming his reports as he had before Mason arrived. Mason's voice perked his attention and he turned in his chair towards him, a report still in his hand, his gaze focused on the paper. "You have a question?"

Red raised an eye brow as she listened to him speak. Something wasn't right, as if he was leaving something out. Not only was she wanting to know but she also wanted to know about Aaren. "So what happen that you are no longer Lady Aarens guard?" It's not easy to not be a guard for someone unless something happened.

Quite honestly, she just wanted to burn him up an get it over with. She felt that he was wasting her time but a little voice in the back of her head told her he may be useful. She's been out for three months so she can't help it but be a little grumpy and the pain was slowly making its way back in. For the moment she was able to take it.

"We were attacked. The last thing I remember is ripping apart a demon, losing my arms in the process," he said, awkwardly swinging them back and forth using his body. "...and then nothing. I closed my eyes, and awoke, laying on the beach."

Who was this woman? She intrigued Maliarc. He wasn't sure why, but she seemed......interesting, if he had to use a word. Sticking by her might prove useful, even rewarding. Being a mage, he naturally spoke of rewards in the form of knowledge, for materialistic objects did not help him too much. He raised his left eyebrow, and shot her a question. However, she didn't seem as if she needed him in any fashion.

"I don't mean to change the subject, but do you happen to know where I could get some rest? My arms need to heal, and standing about won't help."

Coming to this land has been fruitful after all. I've already met many interesting people, and might even be able to reverse this damned spell at some time.

In the back of his mind, however, there was an itch. It would need to be scratched sooner or later, but until he found Lady Aaren, it would have to wait.

Red thought about his question for a moment. He may be relatd to the attack that happened not long before she woke but what the leader of Ater Nox does was no concer to her. She was a pirate and therefor was bound by no one. It's unfortunate that he was separated and ended up here on her ship. She let out a hard sigh as she crossed her arms behind her back.

"I can provide you a room to rest in but I will have a guard stand outside your room. Forgive me but being someone like me you can never be too careful." With that she turned around and headed towards the elevator. She stood inside as she waited for her new guest to follow.

"Thank you miss Red." he said as he followed her. He couldn't help but let out a laugh at her comment about having a guard. Being a mage, he was never too worried about other people. However, he was in a strange land, and he had no idea what the people here were capable of. "If you don't mind my asking, what is it you do?"

Again, Red raised her left eyebrow when she heard him laughing. She clenched her right hand to keep herself from doing anything but a wide grin appeared on her lips as he asked her what is it that she does. "Well if you haven't figured it out by now Im a pirate. I rule the sky's and live by my own terms." The doors to the elevator closed and made its decent farther down into the ship. No buttons could be seen on the wall execpt for a a small red phone. No words, nothing. Just a little red phone that is hooked up to the wall and a light on the ceiling. Now, to ask how the elevator was moving, only Red knew the secret and she wasn't telling.

After a few moments the elevator came to a slow halt and the doors flew open. In front of them was a dimly lit hallway with a row of doors on each side. She was the first to walk out of the elevator and into the hallway. "This is the guest floor." She said as she walked past the first few sets of doors. "And this is where you'll be staying." She stopped infront of a door that had a number four on it and then she turned to look at him. She stomped her right foot a few times only to summon a shadow that came spilling up from the floor. The shadow started to grow and build itself up until it was seven feet tall. Then it started to take form of what appeared to be a bear standing on its hind legs. It's fur was a dark brown and eyes a goldish yellow. It wore a blue beanie on the top of its head, along with a blue tank shirt and a pair of black jeans. "This is Claw. He will be here for watch and if you need anything please let him know." Claw looked down at Red and nodded at her, then looked over at Maliarc.

"Thanks. I'll try not to be a thorn in your side any longer than I need to be."

As Maliarc watched Red summon the strange bear, he knew that he would want to stay with her as much as possible. She knew things he didn't, and that intrigued him. Before he entered the room, he said simply, "...and if you find yourself in need of a mage, you know how to contact me."

He would need to come across as confident around a woman like this. She had power, and she knew how to use it. It would not be wise to be on her bad side. Afterwords, he walked into the room, sat on the floor, and began to meditate. It wasn't as helpful as sleeping, but it would give him the rest he needed.

Red gave the mage a nod before returning to the elevator. The doors closed behind her and the elevator ascended back up towards the bridge. "Maliarc the mage," she thought. His name did have a nice ring to it and he could prove useful to her but right now she needed to get her ship back back to the skies. Though no one dares to approch her port doesn't mean that someone will attack from afar and she's quite surprised no one has tired yet.

Upon reaching the bridge, Kuro greeted her as she stepped out of the elevator. "Well that was quite a show. What do you plan on doing with him?" He asked with a smirk o his face. She glared at him as she walked back over to her chair. "Well I'm not going to kill him if that was what you were hopping." Kuro's smirk turned into a frown as he was now standing beside her. "Ohh poo, I was hopping that my beauties would have something new to eat." She just rolled her eyes. "I don't even want to know."

Red then turned her attention back towards Gage. "How far on the repairs do we have left?" Gage pressed a few buttons as some information come onto her screen. "It appears that the main thruster is the only one left annnd we have an hour till its finished." Red sat there for a few moments while lingering on a thought. "Have everyone be prepared within that hour for we are returning to the skies." Gage nodded as she made the special announcement to everyone.

Red took a deep breath but was cut short with a shock of pain going through her chest. She let out a horrible cough as she grabbed at her chest. "How did I not see this before?" she thought to herself. The crystal that was planted into her chest was slightly cracked on the left side. This pain she was feeling wasn't from her injuries but from what was slumbering inside.

It wasn't long after Maliarc had been left alone that he felt the pain. Once he had been summoned by someone speaking his name, he couldn't help but have a little connection with them, as he used them as a medium to pull him out of-and then back into, reality. It seemed like a nifty trick, but it had no offensive purposes, solely for transportation, and it always took some time, so getting out a fight was unlikely with that.

Though they were weak, he had finally regained control of his arms. This would make many things easier for him, though he would have to take it easy with any lifting or such. He would need real rest before he got anything done. But first, he needed to relay a message. He opened the door to the room, and looked at the bear.

"Mr....Claw, was it? Can you inform Miss Red that I think I can help her with that pain."

He didn't want to see if the bear responded or not, he would like to get some rest before she showed up----if she showed up, that was. He returned to the bed, laid down, and quickly drifted into a shallow sleep.

((Sorry I took a moment. I was in Tampaaaa.))

Step by step he made way to his suitcase. Arm and dramatically torso too stretched down in a reach and now, while suitcase in one hand, out came his camera casually, but no doubt held in the grasp of a professional. He pulled it to his eye. Click. "You never do know when a picture of the great Malhi can come in handy. Maybe I'll spoon with it if all else fails. Have a good one."

He didn't bother to shut the door behind. Simply it swung until silent.

The trip back was of no difficulty. The passage was familiar as hinted by all that was familiar by which his eyes had taken notice of earlier, which was all. It would be half an hour that we would once again be surrounded by all of that shipyard's forbidden material in forbidden ships.

Wherever Aziz was, he expected the woman to do the find.

((Ugh, just started my summer job. So tired. lol))

Claw lifted his right paw and formed a black mass that was in the shape of a bird. He whispered a few words to it before it lifted itself from his paw and took flight. The little bird flew through ceilings, walls and even other crew members to get to where it needed to go. No harm came to those it flew through but a small chill would course through their body. After a few moments, the bird had made it's way to the bridge.

Red leaned over in pain as her left hand clenched the crystal. She could feel the beast slowly stirring in its sleep as the crack in the crystal kept getting bigger. She broke into a sweat as her temperature was rising. It felt as though she was sitting inside a volcano. Kuro bent down to take a look at her and noticed the crystal. "This isn't good."

The little bird flew in and landed on Reds shoulder. It spoke into her ear and then disappeared. Red clenched her teeth as she looked up at Kuro. "Take me, to the mage." Without another word, Kuro picked her up from her chair and ran out of the bridge into a hallway. He stopped in the middle to an elevator. He pressed the down button and waited for the elevator. Red clenched her teeth again as she grabbed the collar of his suit. "I will kill you if you do not hurry." Luckily, the elevator doors swung open and he raced inside.

Within minutes, the two reached the guest floor. He looked down both sides and noticed that Claw was standing by one of the doors. He ran towards him and Claw opened the door to let them in with ease. Reds eyes were a fiery orange now and they were staring at Maliarc. "Mess up and I'll kill you too."

Maliarc had awoken only a couple of minutes earlier from when Red had come barging in, snarling about killing him if he messed up.

"All right, just stand still." he said, placing his hands atop her head. He started to imagine her in a blank room, just her body against a backdrop. He started to channel energy into her, effectively numbing the pain. The pain and reason for the pain itself was still there, she just wouldn't be able to feel it.

This woman is definitely not normal. he thought, staring at her fiery orange eyes. He felt around for the origin of the pain. If he knew where it was coming from, there was always a small possibility he could eliminate it completely. However, as he dug, he must have angered something. A forceful push forced it's way out of Red's mind into Maliarcs body, shoving him back, into the bed. What was that push? It was strong enough to knock the wind from me... he thought in disbelief.

"You're pain is gone. However......" he couldn't bring himself to finish that sentence. He simply panted and stayed where he was.
PostPosted: Sun May 19, 2013 7:43 pm

The pain in Red's chest subsided. She took a moment to catch her breath before she punched Kuro in the chest to let her go. He gently placed her feet on the floor and released her. She straighten her clothes before moving her stare back to Maliarc. Her eyes still fiery orange and her temperature was still high but just looking at her see looked fine.

She already knew what he had experienced, no doubt about that. Their was no getting rid of this, only control. She let out a hard sigh. "I thank you for numbing my pain, but can you repair my crystal? I can already tell that you have had an encounter with him but if I dont get this fix soon, you would of wished that I had killed you instead." This was not her way of a threat but just merely a grave warning if this wasn't handled soon.

Kuro knew better than to be near by any longer. He has seen this once and had no plans of sticking around again. "Well I'm sorry my lady but I have some pressing matters I must attend to. I bid you farewell." With one click of the heel, he turned and had disappeared into the hallway.

Maliarc had gained control of his breathing by now. "Yes, certainly." he said, attempting to smile but failing. He glanced up to see the crystal clear as day on her chest. How had he not noticed that? He must be failing. He needed to find a way to reverse this spell before his body used itself up. He got up from where he was forced to sit on the bed, and held a hand out. He was not touching her, but just making sure that his hand was in line with the crystal.

"Quod unum frangitur erit ultra instaurari." he muttered, seemingly to nobody. It would take a few seconds, but gradually the crystal began to repair itself. By this time, Maliarc had used up almost all of his energy for the day. Whatever was inside that crystal was indeed a dangerous thing. He would have to remember to watch out, should that ever act up again.
